A lot of different avenues that you could go down in the P&C realm! Was in sales & customer service previously. Glad to see guys like this succeed especially at a young age!
Joe- I thought I was the only one, I hate asking people for something so I just started to just find a need and present information in a way that makes sense. I believe we don't have to ask for the sale because you don't have to. Need to come out with a book!
New Agent in Indiana and I dived right in to searching for tools and reaching out to network for growth. Glad I found you guys! I have a small Facebook following because before passing my P&C...on the first time! 🎉 I didn't use Facebook as a business tool so that is my goal as well as learning and consistency.
I took the Kaplan on line course, watched Insurance Queen exam and Lauren Meyer TH-cam videos. Was able to pass on the 1st exam. Don’t buy the PSI exam test. They charge $24.99 wasn’t worth it.
I just got my test on the 3rd try!! Great interview, I’m trying to find a job in an office to absorb as much information as possible! Alot of work from home opportunities but that’s hard starting out
He is so right I took the class from people share who hired us on to work for a very big insurance company.I passed on the 1st try. Mark those answer it will be asked in a different way there are several version of the insurance exam in Texas you don't know what version you will get my test had a lot of commercial questions and may be 7 p&c definition. My class mate had more of the math questions in p&c. DO 🚫 cram for this test you have to understand the concept and you WILL pass..
Would love to know how you manage your trucking renewals. Do you have a new business team and renewal team? Or do you have the agent handle renewals and new business?
This is good stuff I like them I wasn’t planning on looking at this but I’ve been studying for my life and health insurance and a lot of things that he said about the test in study on your own is exactly how I’ve been feeling and I’ve been looking into getting into P &C is more relatable to me so I need to get my P & C
I just passed my p&c on the first try and one week after I passed my life and health on the first try. Now I'm just stuck deciding on what to do??? I really need some guidance.

I'm looking for p & c classes that actually teaches. I passed my p & c exam the 1st time while working at a major carrier. The om and I were the only ones in the office. I was studying for the exam while taking calls, taking payments and trying to learn, sporadically. My issue is, the person training me is constantly busy and teaches me something once and kind of expects me to know it. Or expects me to absorb everything they do while they're doing it fast. The training is interrupted constantly. Then says if I don't understand something, ask..but then rolls the eyes or let's out an exasperated sigh when I do. This person has me so intimated that I either freeze up in fear of doing something wrong or fear of asking if I'm doing something right. I even get blamed for this person does something wrong. I'm just looking for some kind of class to take outside of work that will take the time to give personalized, almost, information to questions. I go home in tears some days. I was so excited to enter this field, but now I'm thinking that I've made a huge mistake.
You have not made a mistake I'm so sorry you are going through this I have a P&C license in Texas and I'm new I see how some companies are teaching us I feel your pain. I'm watching videos looking on the Internet for classes that can sharpen me in P&C. You are a rock star and stick with this industry it is a good industry and they need agents just like you to help them.
Dude target your people whether you are white black or Latino. It's sounds racist but a lot of people prefer to do business with their own kind. It's kinda like a trust thing. Especially when it involves money.
You Gotta check the requirements of your particular state. In my state for example you can't take the state exam to be licensed until you complete a 200 hour Education requirement from a state approved school.
For test preparation I highly recommend, "Americas Professor." I love it. I passed the P&C test the first try, probably because I wen't years delaying getting my license and I knew what Insurance was by working customer service and P&C customers.
Construction can have high premiums, but the certificate generation is RELENTLESS . Trucking is profitable and seems easier. You can’t just “pound the phones” you need to understand risk transfer and indemnification, learn to read insurance policies. Think like an underwriter. Cody doesn’t talk about these things. Boring sh*t. If you work at a small agency then sales is an afterthought. You must retain your renewals which is all service.
Dude i needed this , I'm at 5-7 referrals a week on excel sheets. if there's a way i could 10x that and get to 100 a month I'm all ears....added the guy on Facebook i need more info ahaha
@@CodyAskins LOL I found him… Already in his Facebook group/ personal friends on Facebook lol you name it… Like Grant Cardone says take time out of the equation!! Also friends with your girl Leslie for the $25k a month system .. this is the year to get ahead !!!!

Wow. The kid is doing 2,000,000 in premium from just trucking alone. This was a wealth of information and inspiration. Thanks.
He said that he quotes 2 M in trucking every month
@@Ajmuzz - I know exactly what he said.
@@cjzanders5430 Okay, there is a difference between 'doing' 2M in premium vs 'quoting' 2M in premium. Nonetheless, impressive.
@@cjzanders5430 Quotes dont mean sales- you misheard exactly what he said
@@DylanH345 That’s true. What’s 35% of $2000000? What’s 10% to 15% of that?

They offer classes on a plethora of platforms. Which specific class is he referring to that’ll give money back if test failed?
Which online class do you recommend or was Joe referring to?

Interesting with those figures he's not in the Insurance Journal or Insurance Business Mag for "top producers" each year.
How do you do that lol? I'm in there like swimwear
