Interesting character who’s supposed to be a loveable rogue. When in fact when one really thinks about him. There’s little other than his wisecracking to like about him. Why doesn’t his wife just divorce him and be done with him. He proves time and time again, that a leopard doesn’t change its spots and he continues to burn every bridge, often before crossing them.
An inveterate alcoholic, abuser of friendships, so his only male friend is his paid agent. And his only female friend of more than a one night stand, is his long suffering wife. He doesn’t know how well meaning & polite people behave. Well he does but chooses to walk and sometimes crawl a more chaotic and destructive path.
