Hi Jon...that's a great quality alternative to the slimline kit... being able to unscrew the cap is much better... the Parker refill is far superior.... lovely job with the burr Ash ... looks great ...take care...All the best.....Andy
Lovely looking pen and a simple mechanism. Always a joy to watch and buy your stuff. You try and succeed in making it easy for us newbies. I'm getting some acrylic pen blanks soon and look forward to giving one of them a go with the pen kits I already have. This is definitely one that will be on my next order....
1st. Hi John, I really like this kit. I have sold a lot of Slim Lines, especially to ladies who prefer a lighter pen. As you said the downfall is the refill and changing the refill. I will be buying some of these to try and see how they go. Great video as ever John. Take care. Cheers, Huw
@@prokraftuk Thank John. I'll be posting a video of me making the pens in a couple of weeks probably as I already have the next 2 videos planned. Cheers, Huw
This is a great pen, like all of those sold by Prokraft, and have really enjoyed making it but could you tell me what you are using to polish/finish it with please? Thank You
Hello Bernard, this pen is burr ash sanded with a bowl sander down to 1200 grit, cellulose sanding sealer and a final finish of Record light colour friction polish (Speed an eez I think it's called). I hope that helps. Jon.
@@prokraftuk Hello Jon, That is brilliant, thank you. It was such a good finish I just wondered what you were using as I can never get a shine like you had.

Thanks Andy, I'm waiting to see your take on the big box hinge!
