The problem with the recording industry is as a new artist you literally have no leverage. You can read every page of your contract but it won't matter because if you say you don't like the deal they will just give that same deal to some other new artist that doesn't care what's in the contract. Also 360 deals are standard nowadays. Basically every dollar a label invests in you, you owe them back before you see any profit. It doesn't matter how well your album or tour does you owe the label money for everything.
