I had and still have high hopes for the Vaquita it will be ideal for filming Dubai and Northern Emirates wrecks. I love the Dynamic Color Correction concept. Diving tomorrow off the Northern Emirates and comparing GoPro Hero 8 with and without filter against the Vaquita. Looking forward to that footage. Hope the vis is reasonable 🙏
My number one improvement would be bring the close focus point down to 15 cm. At the moment it is about 70 cm which makes it unusable in the low visibility which we often have in the UK.
I agree with you about the "universal" attachment (GoPro attachment style) but I don't think that the direct attachment to the tray is necessary at all. You can/should use a clamp/try arm to serve as a link between the ball attached to the camera and to the ball attached to the tray. I agree with you on all other points for sure. I look forward to your upcoming follow up Vaquita videos.
Was out diving with it today on a tray mounted alongside 2 x GoPro 8 one with a green water filter and one without. Am looking forward to seeing the results which I will upload in first week of January. Have also arranged to do the same test in shallow clear water but using a red filter on one of the GoPros.
@@DubaiDiver the ball mount is screwed into the "tripod mount" or "fixed mount", as Paralenz calls it sometimes. So that should work. www.paralenz.com/shop/product/aluminium-tripod-mount-pv
@@axelschneider thanks I don’t think that was available when I ordered but am not sure. Anyway I would not have paid USD 39 for it but I will make sure I let people know about it in future videos thank you once again for contributing 🙏
Nice one. Real thorough work done here. Love your series on the Vaquita. You really took it apart.

Agreed even in clear waters how do you get a good in focus fish shot. They are bringing our some lenses which adds cost and maybe reduces versatility

Brian wishing you a Merry Christmas and happy new year
Stay safe ; dive safe 🥂🥂🥂🥂
Thanks Turgut 🎄👍
Hi Brian has EIS been sorted now
Unfortunately not
Direct attachment to the tray: why don't you simply unscrew the ball mount? The thread in the "fixed mount", that's left then, should be 1/4"?
Thanks I will look at that if it works I will give you a shout out in one of my future videos 👍

Universal attachment would be ideal.
Agree
they have a mount that fits 1/4 20 screw
Yes but is a plastic rubber Belt type not secure enough
Paralenz should start to give you commission/ remuneration for consultancy / advertising you are giving them.
It has made for good quality content if I can help people make an informed decision that’s all I need.
