One of these hunts easily pays for 10 peoples salaries ,they feed families with those salaries. Peoples livelihoods are attached to these controlled hunts. Please consider it's not always black and white. These game preserves actually help protect truly endangered animals. Please if you're going to be offended, focus your attention on the illegal ivory trade, not people trying to make a living.

My favorite hunting is when hunting for small predators, like foxes, coyotes etc but only when they start killing my fowls in broad daylight, which means they are over populating. You don't know what you're talking about. I've bow hunted for over 40 years and killed a lot of game. Exclusive of bad shots, most of the time the broadhead cuts so cleanly and so quickly that the animal will often stand still or slowly walk away. I've shot deer, had the arrow pass through them and all they might do is nip at it when it hits or exits. Then they'll take a few steps and simply drop.

I dont hunt myself but reealise that hunting generates income to maintain game farms and usually the poorer communities around them. I myself think that a bow or crossbow is too light to takedown a Cape buffalo without it suffering immensely and they should rather use heavy caliber rifles designed for the job. This has fueled conflict with the host communities where the so called conservancies stop communities from accessing water. This conflict is poignant in Kenya today and it is a war the conservancies will not win. They shoot animals en mass. Sell carcasses to Tourist hotels. When a local catches a hare it is criminalized as poaching. There is urgent need to get rid of these conservancies to restore peace and serious conservation. The communities understand the habitat and its flora and fauna better than the conservancies. That is why the ecosystem has survived these long.

It's water buffalo that's domesticated, not Cape buffalo. Water buffalo has always existed in the Middle East and in Asia. It's a strong potentially dangerous animal but not as dangerous as Cape buffalo which have not been domesticated.

It's water buffalo that's domesticated, not Cape buffalo. Water buffalo has always existed in the Middle East and in Asia. It's a strong potentially dangerous animal but not as dangerous as Cape buffalo which have not been domesticated.

In this day and age it’s called dangerous game hunting I don’t agree with the way there hunting sitting in a blind or the use of a bow and arrow they should hunt them in the bush they are probably scared to hunt them the correct way the meat goes to poor villages and some of the proceeds goes towards anti poaching efforts in Africa
