Good education is key here..Here is a king that measures his success as a king by what he does to lift the standard of living of his people. That is what good education does. Are you surprised his subjects are so solidly behind him.God bless you Kabiyesi.

Kabiyesi Alayeluwa is correct about his root. Gbegiri as a soup is even own by the barubas, the city called Ogbomoso got his name because of soun. He was the one who beheaded Elemosho. Enito' gbori elemosho became Ogbomoso
The whole monarch in that axis later ran to soun for safety when Fulani desolated almost everywhere including the Oyo Empire (Oyo Ile) more reason why many felt Oyo Empire is a weak empire. Ogbomoso is a known home valiant and warriors. The olugbon, aresa, Onikoyi and lots ran to soun. They all have their ancestral houses and compound in Ogbomoso till today. They later went to their villages and huts after the tension was down but soun has prevailed, he. Saved and accommodated them for several years. Soun Ogunlola village was never ransacked by the jihadist. Of the 41times the sokoto/ilorin jihadist tried to befall Ogbomoso, they failed woefully and soun and his warriors defended Yoruba being that Ogbomoso is the gateway to southwest. The present day Ogbomosoland has about 6-7 aare ona kakanfo. No any other town in Yorubaland has that.
yes The mother's of the Sóun rulling house dynasty is a daughter of the aresa. And in a way the Sóun's have the Yoruba and Baruba blood.
Kabiyesi is a crown prince born into the royal family, he has the blue blood in his vein. Ascending the throne has nothing to do with whether he is pastor or an Alfa, or babalawo. He is a prince and he has every right to the throne. Our tradition and Culture in Ogbomoso is different from other community in Nigeria. Everywhere and everyone has their unique Tradition.
People should understand that, Ogbomoso people are herogeneous. (Though one big Family with zero discrimination, infact we are all related by blood because of intermarriage) People came from different places to settle in soun's town. History had it that my own forebears came from owu present Ogun and Osun state. Also, remember that, Baribas, Oyos and Nupes were good neighbours. The old Oyo was close to present Town of Jebba in Kwara State. The present Oyo as I understand is the 7th settlement since its establishment(they moved here about 200years ago. It's on Ogbomosoland owned by Onikoyi more reason why Sóun won Alaafin at Supreme court during land issue some years back. ( Don't argue this, please google it)
People had moved from place to place and had mingled together. No one is pure blood. It's a known fact that since I was young, I had always known that, Soun ruling house came from Ibariba who married A princess from iresa) why do you think Sóun rulling house added Okin to their oriki. The present soun is Aremu-okin and late soun is Akano-okin!! Google too🤣.
My forefathers were among the original settlers in arowomole quarters and so many others.
The prosperity of Ogbomoso was heightened during the Fulani raids in 1800s as many towns and villages fled their places to seek refuge in Ogbomoso at the time. The reason being that, no war had ever sacked the town since it was established.
Soun is right by saying his forefathers were of Ibariba descent. My family are from owu and so some others.
Of The five known founders of Ogbomoso atleast 3 are known to be from Baruba and Nupe. ( The Aale Okeelerin is a known Nupe hunter, the orisatolu known as onisaapa is a harbalist and soun Ogunlola are known Baruba decendants)
It's true that the founder of ogbomoso, called Soun his ancestral root is Ibaruba though born in yorubaland at that time.Ogunlola was native of Ibaruba, who came to settle among here. His headship as the Soun of the community, was compensation for his valour in vanquishing Elemesho who was ravaging the Oyo Empire and soun was the savior of the day. (Go back to history or atleast try watch legendary Ogbori-elemosho movie)
Kabiyesi is correct. People should learn history before attacking the monarch.
Soun's crown didn't come from ife or any other king!! He fought for it!! He is a warrior. They told him not too!! He dared it and nothing happened!!
Ogbomoso is yorubaland. The ruling house has a partial Baruba and Yoruba blood. Just like my forefathers hail from owu. We all hail from a place in Ogbomoso. We are heterogeneous but Ogbomoso is our home. We are unique we are special.
The barubas are the present day. Kaiama, Baruten in neighboring Kwara state,( Borgu, in niger state and North central region of Nigeria) +, Benin republic and Dahomey. Long time neighbors of the Yorubas.
Again. The barubas have a known history of rulling Oyo Empire. Don't argue research this.
    History Don't lie.
