As a dryer vent cleaning professional for 13 years, this is the only dryer vent cleaning set I would recommend. I actually use it myself! The greatest virtue is the bristle alignment on the brush. They are aligned in an auger style rather than being in vertical rows like most other DIY sets. This allows lint to pass through the brush more easily where most other brushes tend to simply push large amounts of lint forward, compacting the lint. The vacuum adapter is also a great feature!
Thanks mate. We have just had to remove tenants from our rental property. On inspecting the dryer I found the vent in a simular fashion. Same as you, been ten years worth buildup with 6yrs belonging to us. But your timing for this review is implacable for us. My only hope is that it is solid metal pipe from floor up to and through the upper level floor space to the ouside wall. Thanks again champ.
So I agree these DIY vent cleaning kits work really well. The only thing I’d suggest is getting the kit that has the shop vac adapter. It will allow you to hook the shop vac directly vent so any debris that comes out of it will go into the shop vac and not on the floor. Nice video, thanks for sharing
It was/is in that kit. In the bag that was opened already, there was an attachment with 2 holes for vacuuming while brushing. I'm pretty sure that was it anyway.
It cost at least $65 for someone to come out to clear the dryer vent in my area (sw FL). This kit looks like a super deal, if you have your own drill and shop vac. Great video!
I was very surprised how well is cleaned the dryer vent. I was skeptical as soon as I got it out of the box but when I saw the first clump of lint fall, I was convinced this was the real deal.
Thanks for posting this. I was just looking at buying this exact duct cleaner. It's about 100 bucks a pop where I live to have someone come do it for you.
How often do you clean it now? I clean mine every 6 months and use the lint lizard on my dryer every week after I run all my laundry for the week! Our current house doesn't have a massive exhaust stack only a few feet out to the left of my dryer. You should be able to hook your shop vac up at the same time I believe!
Ah man. I should have clarified that. That’s T is totally separate from the cleaning. We raised up our dryer years back when we stacked them. That was the new opening. Sorry bout the confusion

Good suggestion. I didn’t even know such a thing existed.

I've seen 2 house around me catch fire from dirty drier vents, not pretty.
Also, did ya hear about shop vac closing their doors? Sad to see
I just looked up shop vac... so sad. I purchased one after reading your comment and I’ll do a video on it :)
Why did you cut a huge T in your wall to access the vent pipe instead of just using the lower vent pipe opening?

Thank you for sharing this video. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Did you get up on top of the roof?
No need.
From outside please!
I hope you are all wearing eye and respiratory protection.
Absolutely
