i really feel you about what you said,sometimes you have inspiration to paint but you don’t have energy,and sometimes you have so much energy but you don’t want to paint. i enlisted to the military and i’m coming home only on thursday to saturday,so on sunday i’m coming back and working. i don’t have that much time to paint and draw bc i’m not at home 90% of the time,i always have inspiration when i’m in the military but i don’t have it that much when i’m back home. for me,i’m getting through this by watching people paint or just looking through pictures of things that gives me inspiration as an artist. in addition,when i paint i always listening to some music or podcasts bc it what’s makes me happy,and when i’m in those situations you talked about i’m just practicing on things that i wanna get improve in. what also helps me personally is to write ideas i have for paintings or saving pics from pinterest into pins,it gives a lot of inspiration,and also trying to make my favourite songs into drawings (which is something i did to improve my people drawings) helps me a lot! i know i wrote too much but i do hope that i can help people who read this comments:) p.s-i actually thought about something(last one i promise),maybe buying online new art supplies can help? it doesn’t have to be expensive tbh,it can be cheep too! personally i’m not buying expensive paint that much unless i have a chance to buy and then i buy a little. i hope maybe this can help:)
I wanted to reply to what Mira was saying about being in a rut. This is just what I do so it might not work for everyone. When I have energy but no inspiration I try something new. Go out into the world and explore. One time I was trying to get ideas for a gallery wall but I was stuck, and one day I was bouncy on a trampoline. I looked up and saw a beautiful tree and all I wanted to do was paint it. After that inspiration, ideas just came flying at me! When I have inspiration but a lack in energy I find it helps to have a friend. Someone who tells you to keep it up! Even if they don’t know it. That’s it... I hope it helps! 💕🎨

I really love that you tested this out on a full painting! Sometimes when artists do these videos and just swatch the paint or test it on a few materials, it's hard to get an idea for how it could be used and what it would look like in an actual piece. I really loved this! I hope you had a great, relaxing break. :)

I'm currently living in a place I hate being in, it's just a very toxic place for me, and I don't have the means to get out of it yet. So I've been feeling very unmotivated and uninspired to do any art at all. And I have depression on top of that, so I'm really struggling to get anything done at all. I really hope things start to look up for me soon though. And I agree, taking a break can be super helpful when it just gets to be too much, I had to do that and it really helped me to destress at the time and take the pressure off. I hope your break really helps you as well! Your mental health and just general overall health and well-being are more important than anything else! Sending you good, healing vibes!
I'm just lacking motivation to do art or anything. I tried some prompt books and I really didn't enjoy what I was doing. I feel like I'm forcing myself to draw and i end up not liking my art in the end. Depression sucks

The Unicorn milk touches remind me of those old Dufex foil painting/prints that were almost like oil paintings (usually fantasy/fairytale themed) that had these foiled metallic accents on them. I had one on my bedroom wall as a kid and eventually "outgrew" it and got rid of it but I wish I hadn't now as it was so beautiful.
1) One of my favourite things in this world are shimmering unicorns. By the way I was really worried about the title of the paint ("unicorn milk"), but when the packadge said that no unicorns were harmed I got soooo relieved (poor unicorns). And remember people, believe and imagine!!! 2) About the question of the day... I have many things that I would like to learn, but for the moment I would like to learn how to paint with oil paints and probably how to do crochet. Take care!!!
I've been through multiple art blocks/writing blocks. What I do to get out of it is just getting started. I have to push myself to get it done then I take a break when it's done. Then I don't stress myself out. What I do is I just get a few things typed and publish them. I work in 3-4 parts per chapter so I don't get burn out. It's she's to get back in the grove of work but you just have to get started. Hope my tips help!

When struggling with writing I treat myself to a weekend on my own. I eat what and when I want, sleep when I want, and just feed my soul with walks or taking photos or visiting an art gallery. It's all done low budget, but I'm always super productive afterward.

That's similar to this pearlescent paint I have been using a lot lately. Anita's All Purpose Pearl metallic is probably not the best quality but I will definitely try unicorn milk eventually. Glad to hear you're taking some time to yourself. I have been feeling pretty drained myself lately. I wish I could take a break from my full time job and just create or play video games for a couple days. I hope everyone else is taking good care of themselves too ❤

That's similar to this pearlescent paint I have been using a lot lately. Anita's All Purpose Pearl metallic is probably not the best quality but I will definitely try unicorn milk eventually. Glad to hear you're taking some time to yourself. I have been feeling pretty drained myself lately. I wish I could take a break from my full time job and just create or play video games for a couple days. I hope everyone else is taking good care of themselves too ❤
