If this doesn't sum up government run programs I don't know what does. Subpar product. Way over priced. Some goofy gimmick. You're right, I've seen better looking rounds. This is a pass for me. Even the ASE with the tiny star privy, they can do better...
They could so easily make amazing things that everyone loves. But instead they give us hyped up cash grabs. Its a bummer. Luckily we have rcm and perth and several others that make great stuff! Keep stacking Zooz💪
Agree. The new Pamp Lady Liberty rounds look very nice. Slight premium over Generic/generic, though Monument Metals has them reasonably priced. Costco will likely get them at some point, they have had Tubes of the Pamp Buffalos in stock a few times.
How can they say only one per household when all the online dealers are pre selling them in raw, ms69 and ms70. How many orders were they allowed and there goes all the privy marked coins.
Stacking vintage silver not only preserves wealth but also offers a unique investment opportunity, combining historical value with potential for appreciation as interest in collectible assets grows.
I think the medal will sell out quickly because everyone will be trying to get the privy mark. The privy marked coins will go for huge money. Just wait and see. But $104 is a hard pill to swallow!
@scotts1356 dealers are trying to cash in on the hype. People will buy them at that price no doubt. But what will the prices be in 6 months? the market will adjust. It always does. Good luck to those who drop 1k on 1 ounce of silver
For $104 per oz (75k mintage), you could buy a 2 oz silver Reverse Proof Libertad at just over $104/oz (max 1,500 mintage yearly). Far more beautiful coin also. A lot more going for the design than some flowing hair. I'm referring to the mountains, pervs!
Not sure where you are seeing Reverse Proof Libertads for that price, but all the sites I buy from have them at $200+ for 1 ounce. And the 2 ounce is $250+. Granted, the better deal is the 2 ounce but I cant find them for what you specified.
I currently have a high bid on the 230 Privy mark on ebay at #1,500 on Ebay. Then the 230 signed COA's will add value. You can always go for the Silver Eagle with the Star Privy mark with the 8th Era video game folks.
7:15 With the 5 oz High Relief Silver Maple Leaf at $502, if we compare it with the flowing hair 1 oz of silver for $104, it's cheaper to buy the maple leaf (5 x $104). The mintage of 1,750, similar to the mintage of 230th Anniv flowing hair that have a privy mark. So with those two traits comparing it with product not just at the RCM but with the US Mint, you could justify the price of the Silver Maple.
Exactly. And that maple is one of the most beautiful pieces ever made. Ever. And it's not a gamble whether or not you'll get it or not. You'll get the 5 oz everytime. Unlike the Flowing Hair round. You're risking just getting the round with no privy. Gambling
I prefer old Morgan and Peace dollars. You know, actual money with some history, not the goofy crap the US Mint is putting out nowadays. I don't even buy silver eagles anymore after their "missing reed is a security feature" nonsense.
Great choices. That's my problem with this coin. Its just a piece of silver. That's all it is. Except they made a copycat of an iconic piece. That doesn't make it instantly 3.5x in value.
I'm all for freedom, but definitely against gambling. It's everywhere these days. I don't subscribe to any YT'er that promotes any of the "Breaks" or "Vaultbox" products. All the US Mint Silver Medals are vastly overpriced. The "Gambling" aspect of the privy mark will likely get more people interested.
But there are dealers on eBay that gaurantee that they can sell the privy mark so the mint lets the little people gamble but the dealers get what they want apparently
If each "loser" sells on the secondary market for around $200, how is it a gamble? I actually hope they do more programs like this one. Low mintage and artistic/historic designs. I believe these medals will hold value if not increase.
Hey I watched your channel several times before! You've got great content. But yes it's definitely a collectors piece. I just don't think the gambling aspect and the ridiculous price the US Mint put on it is an ethical thing to do.
