This MAX Board featured the Wifi 6E which is the newer version from Wifi 6Ax. Anyways, we have the same version of this board, and I really loving it. Nice Vids Btw!

There's no such limitation here for storage unlike B350 board was. You can use both NVME slots and 6 SATA slots all at the same time, I did that. If you fill it all, only the PCI_E4(2nd PCIex16 slot) on the bottom will be disabled.
Im planning to buy this one to change my current mobo Msi A520m A Pro. Mobo - Msi A520m A Pro Ryzen 5 5600x Rtx3080 Ram - XPG D50 3600mhz 32gb I can't xmp my ram to the advertised speed 3600mhz. If I xmpd, it will cause bluescreen. I can only use 3200mhz. Do you think this motherboard can solve this issue if I change to this one?
A520M A Pro also supports 3600mhz tru A-XMP mode same way this board does. I suggest to try to update your BIOS to the latest version if it get's stable to support your RAM. If still the same then try increasing the memory voltage by few millivolts increments until it gets stable. I can't guide you through this but this is at your own risk if you want to try before buying a new board. If persist try contacting MSI support first to confirm compatibility issues with your RAM. If you decide to just grab this board then this also support 3600mhz DDR4 tru AXMP. I am also using 3600mhz RAM, Corsair DDR4 3600mhz Vengeance RGB Pro.
@@municae go to the msi product page for A520M A-Pro then go to Support section and download the latest BIOS file there. Extract the BIOS file to a USB flash drive. Now reboot your computer and as soon as it starts press whatever key it says on the screen to enter the BIOS or Setup. Once your inside the BIOS find the section where it lets you update the BIOS. From there follow the on screen instructions how to proceed onwards. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. If the update gets interrupted in any way then it could brick your board permanently. Goodluck!
Yes, it's compatible but 5700G only supports PCIe 3.0 so I suggest get 5700X if you want 4.0. Then for GPU get the new 7700XT available in a few days. Or 4060/Ti if you prefer Nvidia.
Yes 👍. Well this is a MATX motherboard which smaller/shorter than ATX motherboards. Your case can fit ATX, MATX & ITX motherboards. Hi did you solved the hdd detection issue my b550 Pro vdh wifi also have similar issue I wanted to make a dual boot system Linux and windows Linux in 2.5 Inch SSD and windows on NVME, both SSDs are showing in BIOS but not showing in Boot nenu to boot from another SSD I always have to disconnect the SSD which is pain if I don't disconnect the ssd it shows fine on device manager manager but not visible on this pc Now I want to upgrade my PC and considering this motherboard so please let me know if you have any storage, boot device, related issues
Check your CPU's how many supported PCI lines. Your ssd uses x2 lines. M2.ssd x4 lines. And GPU x16 lines. So your cpu must be support at least 24 pci lines. İf you have another hdd and pciex components maybe thats the issue...
Hello! I am planning to use this MOBO for my first ever music production/gaming build. Im gonna use r7 5700x and rx 7600. Will that be okay for this? And also, would you recommend this mobo for that use or do have any other mobo suggestions?
Tbh I'm not using them right now. I was using them at first but switched back to LAN since I'm connecting to my NAS frequently and I prefer the LAN. I didn't have any sort problems with WiFI or it's Bluetooth back then and they work great thou my Wifi 6 router is just 1 ft. I didn't do any extensive test on it, sorry but that's all I can say about it.
At the time I made this video was about ~60$ usd, more or less. I think sellers were just trying to dispose of their old stocks of the old model non-max version. I think they're technically almost the same except for the design and wifi card.
I haven't tried personally but as per specs yes it supports up to 4400+ DDR4 via A-XMP OC so long they're two single-rank modules. So get 2x 16 GB single-rank modules.

That depends on what you need. If you have ATX case then get Tomahawk or the Tomahawk Max Wi-Fi if you want with wifi. Otherwise if you have MATX case then Mortar Max Wi-Fi is way to go. They're both B550 boards so performance is on par imo.

Yes, I still do and on latest BIOS. Sorry but I cannot help you with what's the maximum height of the m.2 heatsink below GPU. The one I'm using is a EZDIY-FAB M.2 SSD heatsink which seem a pretty common height for m.2 heatsinks. Maybe depends on the dual/triple slot GPU you're going to install on how massive their coolers are. So maybe you're better looking on the GPU if the cooler is being too close to the pcie pin connectors.
Max is just tiny bit better for having a new design and upgraded to WiFi 6E and the rest is just pretty much the same on the non max. If you can find a good deal on the non max version then it should not be much of a difference, considering the price difference.
I pulled out the 2.5 hdd out of SATA 6 port after weeks where it works and detected (if in the mood). As it often causes reading problems during boot. It's half the time works just fine then half the time it doesn't. I ended up using the drive as an external HDD connected via USB and it's been working great this way than via SATA 6 for few days now. I'm testing SATA SSD on SATA 6 for few days now and there seems no problems yet. If I encounter a problem by the weekend then this board goes RMA. Otherwise might just buy a fresh new 2.5 HDD.
@@11j_chua_gabriel54 I think just this 2.5 hdd. Other Sata 2.5 SSD works and so as my 3.5 HDD on that port 6 so far. Apparently my case can only carry x2 2.5 and x1 3.5 so I have to get a new 2.5 ssd/hdd for the sake.

If all goes fine by the weekend then no need to RMA it but if all of sudden a similar issue happens again then I RMA this board. MSI support already agreed to it if it continues to persist.

You install 3 m2.ssd and 1 hdd. So that's 14 pci lines. GPU has x16 lines. 30 lines. But your CPU supports 20 PCI-E 4.0 lanes. How can you do that?
The CPU have lanes and so as the chipset too.

X570 ASRock of course if you have an atx case. Just install a wifi card if you need wifi on it.

Connect the RGB cable to the 4pin JRGB pin found on the bottom left corner of the board.

Try using drivers from DriverEasy @ drivereasy.com for latest drivers. You can use the free version and install the drivers manually.
