CBC Toronto: Mother-daughter cooking tutorials find social media following

Like most restaurant owners, Michelle Lee struggled when the pandemic hit and the lockdown forced indoor dining rooms to close. Suddenly, her typically bustling downtown restaurant, Kimchi Korea House, sat empty.
Michelle’s daughter Diana encouraged her to film cooking tutorials and upload them online.
“I really wanted to convey to people how much work that it takes for my mom to make each and every single dish at the restaurant. It’s really just a labour of love,” Diana said.
As Kelda Yuen reports, the experience has meant more to them than just attracting more customers.
