how to connect wow wurth

hi there
i install files i choose the device have it find it update firmware
i have done everything to connect snooper but when i try to connect to ecm of car it flashes a light beeps and clicks and say it lost connection to ecm but i can read battery volts that's it nothing else do you or anyone have any idea why it loose connection to ecm tried on 2 different cars with same result
