You got me on the clickbait headline and glad you are loving it!!! I am still impatiently awaiting mine and was told maybe between now and mid Feb I might get my Mark IIc+ Reissue! Enjoy your amp and look forward to new vidz! \m/
@OfficialSNMvids hahaha. Thanks for watching and commenting!! I appreciate it. Ya, I'm really loving the tone and crunch it has. Where did you order yours from? Middle Feb seems so far away. Hopefully the date moves up.
@@paulazzi1855 I ordered mine on 11/25/24 from cream city guitars thinking I would get it day one! lol Then come to find out it will about 3 months. Upside is I was able to it for 20% off the list price so I got mine for under 3K!!! \m/
I’m considering getting one. Either a IIC+ reissue or a Mark III. But I really don’t need it. I have a few awesome high gain amps already that check the boxes. My EVH 5150 III stealth 100w has an incredible pick attack. I’m in love with it. The only reason I’d get a boogie would be to simply own an iconic amp.
Thanks for watching and commenting! The 5150 III is a mean amp, congrats on that!! If owning iconic was a factor, you almost have to go with the IIC+. It would be the same money as getting a normal III and sending it to Mesa for the + mod, unless you bought a III+. May saying is, you can never have too many amps 😃😃😃
I have a 7 year old MarkV35 that has a MarkIIC+ mode, along with 5 others. The IIC+ mode is killer. Haven't had the opportunity for an A/B comparison. It could be interesting to see how close it is to the original and the reissue.
The Mark V is the only Mark amp that I have yet to play but seen and heard plenty of videos. It is a BEAST! I'd love to see how that would compare also. Let me know if and when you do record the comparisons! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hey, thanks for watching and commenting. I'll give that a try however, the GEQ is used to shape the sound post amp settings, so that would be subjective to the amp settings. I'll try that nonetheless. Thanks!!
@@paulazzi1855 I'm a veteran of the Mark series, and while each amp is an individual, EQ curves and their effects generally work on most amps about the same way. I MIST HIGHLY recommend you stick a 31 band graphic EQ in the effects loop and PLAY WITH IT. The 5 band is a sledgehammer of a tone shaping tool, a 31 bander is a precision instrument for crafting finely tweaked tones of the gods! I recommend Alesis DEQ series digital EQs!
Ha, you got me good on that one! But I'm so glad you did. I was seriously disappointed as I started to watch because I remember when you got yours and thought you might have had issues with it. I'm a Marshall guy but have been enjoying seeing all you guys enjoying this new reissue. I love reissues and hope this one is done well. Sounds great, and have to ask if you were using the classic mesa cabinet in the background? If so, half open? And what speakers? Cheers!
LMAO!! Thanks for the comment and for watching, I appreciate that! Yes, the amps are going through a Mesa 4X12 half open back with EVM 12L speakers. Which Marshalls are you using? Back in the early/mid 80s, I had 2 Marshall JCM800 2204 heads going through 2 Marshall 4X12 cabs. I wish I would have kept them from back then. Oh well, we all have things we wish we could take back. Thanks again for watching!
@paulazzi1855 that must be a super sounding and very heavy cabinet. I had one years ago but it didn't have evs. My favorite jcm800 is the channel switching version, 2210. I usually pair it with a satriani jvm but occasionally use a 2203x or a plexi. I use a aby switcher with a boost in front of it since I have multiple amps and cabinets. Thanks for the update...and I'm really happy you're enjoying that amp. I'm so tempted! Lol
@@ericjones-y2q I'll need to invest into better recording gear versus my phone in order to properly hear the sound. In the room, it sounds AMAZING!! That's a sweet setup you have!! Do you have any videos? I'd love to hear them! Thanks again for chiming in!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Great idea! I had a few ask that same question and stay tuned! I'll dial them up differently and explain what I like about both and see which one you prefer.
Hey buddy! I thought of it and still debating. I've always been a Mark amp guy, for almost 40 years. I will however, my plan is to get an OG IIC+ first, then a III+ black stripe like mine, but with a 105PT. So the Dual Rectifier is on the list but probably a bit later.
@ That's great Paul! You have an excellent amp list 😃 I have a Mark III red stripe combo, and recently bought an ENGL SE Founders Edition. And will start doing videos later this year. I definitely want to get a Rectifier amp but not sure which one yet. Then there's Bogner Uberschall & Soldano SLO. So many great amps out there!
@@UncleYoshi Thanks for that! And 100% agreed, there are a lot of great amps out there. Not enough time and money😃😃😃 I'm looking forward to hearing the comparison between your amps!
You, me and most everyone else! Now, I sat back and did the math. Back in the early 80s, a IIB was about 7-800. By the time you add the GEQ it was over $1,100. And that's Mesa direct, no middleman. With inflation, that is over $3,300-3,400 today. With that perspective, it's not too bad and that's how I justified it.
to bad it will probably need service in less than a year, the parts they use now are not even close to the original mark series amps and are cheap, I've seen them.

This amp just has *that* sound.

You should try the Gullwing EQ shape. It's a V but you bring up the 2nd and 4th sliders a bit.
