Real vs. Fake True Religion jeans. How to spot fake True Religion

A guide to help you spot and avoid counterfeit True religion jeans.
Original versus fake true religion jeans.
The back tag on jeans is one of the easiest way to tell if a pair is fake. The stitching is poor and crooked and not centered. It is sometimes hard to read and is unclear or faded. It is also sometimes smaller than the one on a real pair.
The price tag will always look the same on every pair. As you can see the fake price tag looks unprofessional and nothing like the real one. All True Religions will come with two tags. One showing the price, and another stating that no pair of True Religions is alike, both attached with string.
Notice the flap on the back pocket. On the fake pair the cut is straight making the flap look triangular. On the real pair the cut is curved and comes to a point. The flaps will always look like this on a real pair. This is one of the easiest ways to tell a fake from an authentic pair. Some newer fakes have a better cut. Check other signs posted in this guide to determine authenticity.
Note If your pair does not have the flaps be sure to check the other signs to tell if they are fake.
Notice that on the fake pair the buddah is small and faded. On the real pair the buddah is bigger and brighter. This is the case for all real pairs of True Religions. The buddah will never fade like it is on the left, no matter how many times you wear or wash your jeans.
Once again there is no curve on the pocket. On this particular fake pair the pocket looks almost square. The flap on the real pair has the same curve as the flaps on the back pockets.
On the Fake pair the stitching on the tag is poorly crafted and off centered. It also contains a different graphic and missing text. The stitching on the real pair is right on the edge and all the text is legible.
True Religion jeans feature an inside label that over the years has detailed a variety of information in a variety of different formats depending on the style.
True Religion jeans feature a second inside label located underneath the previous label. It features a horseshoe logo with white plastic micro-thread running along the bottom of the label.

Hi there! I hope you can help me. I sold a pair of TR jeans but was told it was fake because it was YKK zipper. My husband is as well shock and was not really happy when i told him about it. Notice the fake label has the word Fashion misspelled as Fashon.
"qualitative/qualitatively" is more of a term used in psychology and other research. It has little to do with "quality' as in that of a fabric, but is descriptive.

Hi! I would like to ask you a quick question, if it's not too much trouble...
I volunteer at a charity resale shop. A few days ago, we received a donation of nearly 100 pairs of unworn, but confirmed bootleg True Religion jeans. My question for you is...do you think I should go ahead and put them on the racks, or is there maybe some sort of principled/legal course of action you'd advise? I don't advocate brand piracy, so your thoughts on the matter would be most appreciated!

Price it right like regular jeans. It would be wrong if you price it like an old but authentic one. Dont put them behind the counter. As it is a thrift store not a "vintage clothing store", you can not be responsible for the authenticity of anything. All of your stuff is given to you. Buyers should always be aware of the risk. 😂
The fakes had a pretty damn good waist label it’s the stitching for me 😅

Never buy TR items from anywhere except from the actual TR online site unless you like getting scammed
Would probably help if you used two men's or two women's pair of jeans to do the comparisons. Otherwise, it's just too difficult and it just complicates matters.
both jeans used in this video are replicas please dont follow this video for advice as its dated and the creators of the video cant 100% tell whats real
The original jean in this video it is original (but vintage model). It has been checked and validated by several sources.
In the older true religion jeans (circa 2013) the back of the rivets do have true religion engraving on them, the zips also are from true religion not YKK
It's the same with the other brands actually (Diesel, Replay etc..) In some models they deploy their own branded zippers, in some others they deploy YKK.
I have older Diesel and TR from oficial store and some have just YKK logos.
I Just recently purchased some True Religion Rocco Super T's from an online outlet store.. They just arrived and the Section, Row & Seat on the back embroidered tag are blank... It doesn't say anything beside section, row or seat... I'm guessing they're fake? They are "made in Mexico" and don't have the usual inner label with the red horseshoe or security thread just a black True Religion label with buddah on it. They have TRBJ on the front rivets and True Religion horseshoes on the inside of the rivets. The zipper also has a horseshoe on it. No buddah prints on the inside pockets (I'm aware some styles don't have them). The stitching looks good it is double stitched inside and outside of the jeans but the rear buddah tag is only single stitched (not double).. What worries me most is the rear buddah tag being blank in terms of Section, Row & Seat which leads me to believe they are fake. If so they are pretty good fakes.

basically almost all of their newer jeans don’t have any words next to the section, row, seat.
Why would you buy from a online outlet site instead of the actual online store and they have a app either for iphone or android. Rule of thumb never buy from anywhere except from the actual source unless you want to get scammed
nah i’m pretty sure urs are real. it also depends on the kind of stitching of the jeans and the material. some true religion jeans are stretchy and some are like levi’s 501 material. i have 3 different pairs of true jeans n they’re all different in material, stitching, and the back label is a little different on each. i have these grey ones and the back label on says section, row and seat, nothing in between those 3 words. mine also don’t have buddha imprinted on the inside of the pockets. and they don’t have the american flag but says “made in mexico” too. urs are most likely real since true religion changes the way their jeans look every once in a while.
Found a pair in Ross and the tag is blank too and it says made in Pakistan but it looks real tho

The real is real but vintage model. If you check the model of the denim, you will see that originals back then used to be EXACTLY as the jean in the video

Bruh, those supposedly 'FAKE' jeans, weren't even pretending to be real. There was no horseshoe logo on the stitching at all. So please, do explain to me, how can you say there were fake True Religions? 😅 Look, all you really need to know, is that True Religion add many small details to their jeans/clothing and mostly every garment is high quality. That's why their clothing is so difficult to replicate. STOP deceiving the people. 😌
The one that doesn't pretend to be real, doesn't put the name "true religion" all over the jean. They simply put another name. ;)

Fakes invest a lot in visible parts (their selling point) leaving huge gaps in quality, comfort and durability. In terms of comfort and endurance never matches the fakes never matches the originals
