I grew up around the Grand Concourse/Tremont Area. It still looks the same as it did back in the 90's and early 2000's. People that say that it looks worse today, clearly didn't grow up in The Bronx back in the 80s and 70s. There's areas where it has changed, but a lot of it still remains the same. I thank God that I had the opportunity to leave and make a better life somewhere else.
I would make the argument that its actually much better now a days, especially crime rate wise. It might look the same, but its not nearly as dangerous as it once was. The only difference is now a days crime has a face, in music.

Grew up on Creston and Burnside Avenue, back in the 70"s and 80"s. When we first moved to Creston the area was predominantly Jewish and Irish!! When Puerto Ricans and African Americans started to move into the area, White flight started. My opinion, it was much better when the Jewish and Irish dominated. They don't crap in their own neighborhood like every other minority does. I come up once a year to visit family in Orange and Westchester County ( All my family has left The Bronx ), but still go to the Bronx for a pizza. But it has changed a lot. In someone ways it's looks better, but it's much worst. So sad.

All that area is now pure violence noise just chaotic.

Oh gosh I was born in the Bronx, NY but rise here in New Jersey and I left the Bronx when I was very very young age and I have family from my father side which I haven't seen in year's or spoken to and watching this video and seeing how the Bronx looks right now it looks so dangerous the crime it super high there, now, I'm so bless that I live in New Jersey and my moms also live in Union.
