You said in an earlier video that your TV was flickering off when playing mk, right? That happened to me too and it was because I had the switch laying in the dock and not standing upright, if you have the dock laying down right now just put it upright so gravity pushes the switch in the dock, it seems like a very small change but it worked for me so just try it I guess.

Did anyone else notice at 13:05 Troy's teammate (the dark blue Yoshi) used his star just before Troy's shock went off and went on to get 1st place?! Troy, your timing was impeccable!
I noticed, I was praying that he would use it as Michael was in the star. He saved the whole race just then.
Troy not realizing that the reason Michael won on twisted mansion is that he subconsciously looked at the map, noticed Michael just used a star, and then Bam! Shock Dodge!-ed him is amazing
I didn't know what was going on most of the time, it was just pure chaos

As one of the creators of this 200cc Lounge and someone who used to frequently play this mode, seeing it grow to the calibur to have you try it out is awesome! Great to see more people try out this underrated competitive mode. A huge tip I have is to utilize smart steerting more, as a lot of competitive players will quickly throw it on at the end of their bullet bills if they are being thrown in an awkward spot, and also if they want to use shrooms around extremely sharp turns (like the S turns on Neo Bowser City). Overall though you played pretty well and showed a lot of potential honestly. Thanks for trying out our lounge! :)
You're allowed to use smart steering in lounge?
@@MD.1111 Yup! You can turn it on/off very quickly if you hit the buttons fast
@@MD.1111 yes you’re allowed to, however in most instances it’s a disadvantage to use it, but in the situations I listed it can be extremely helpful
@@MD.1111 Smart steering is an overall large detriment to keep on in competitive lobbies so ofc it's allowed. It keeps you on the road, which every competitive 200 player can do without it, and limits your mt and ability to take niscs. It's a handicap when you start out but against good players it's only restrictive (besides quick toggles on/off)
Good comparison is imagine using training wheels in a cycling competition lol, I assume it's allowed because at that level it provides no advantage, only harm.
What lounge is it? I like to think I’m pretty good but I’d like to test it 😅

3:19 I like it when Troy uses the bullet bill at the exact same time the shock is used to dodge it! Everything was perfectly executed to pull off a clutch third place finish!
19:05-19:26 I like it when Troy makes both of his predictions made correctly when he asks for a bullet bill, predicts that a shock will occur any second, and insists that the game loves him at the end of the race! The fact that Troy keeps commentating while focusing on the final lap of the race is that it makes him a great Mario Kart play-by-play announcer for his expertise of pure Mario Kart skills!

I actually like and prefer when you get quiet and focus because it helps me in a weird way focus with you. I prefer watching no commentary’s because I get a little annoyed when someone just talks and non-stop. So I like and appreciate that you are okay with just saying “I’ll be quiet because I need to focus”
Love watching you play competitive stuff, it actually makes Deluxe enjoyable to watch, since imo the game isn't a good game for viewership casually. Would love to see you play more 2v2s in Wii with Nick!
A little tip if the curves are too tight for a drift, you can press B while drifting to brake a bit in the drift, but make sure you don't press B for too long, otherwise your drift will be interrupted, but you can briefly press B several times in a drift Press

I'm pretty sure you can tell if a communication error will happen if the Item boxes rolls are slower than usual, I'd say 50% of times where my items are slower than usual i get a communication error

That's probably lag or checkpoint glitch
I've just watched it closely and indeed is very weird what happened there, as he went from static in the last positions to first in a single frame (i suppose you are talking about the luigi not the brazilian NANA who was racing using link)
@@tufab3494 Yeah, it looks like the player fell of the bridge, respawned hitting the wall, disappeared into last place statically, and then teleported to first. Maybe he lagged out and the game thought he drove off, it respawned him and where he should have been for a fall off, and then when he reconnected it corrected to his offline position?
