Coucou Brigitte, en effet bien arrivé à Santiago 🙌🏻
L’étape d’hier était l’une de mes favorites. Journée incroyable et remplie d’histoire en rapidité avec notre marche 🙏🏻
Aujourd’hui Santiago donc, et surtout du repos car j’ai l’impression d’avoir tout le mois de marche qui me tombe dessus d’un seul coup !

The Translatio not only is the way that the boat with St James reached Galicia but it's also a marine Via Crucis. The only one in the world: that's why it's so special.
Could you give the contact of the boat you used, please? And also the albergue where you stayed. My intention is to get a boat very early to reach Padron in time to continue walking in the same day to Santiago de Compostela, but if this not works the place where you stayed looks great.

13€ quand meme et nous sommes en espagne,les prix ont bigrement augmenté

Yes, “translatio” in Latin refers to the “carrying” of saints’ relics or bodies from one place to another….

I think he said it was a Via crucis, a way of the cross on the water….maybe you’ve seen them inside churches or outside….there are the “stations of the cross” that mark the different points along the path of Christ’s Crucifixion…(it will be followed at the colosseum in Rome at Easter, for example)…and it is a way to meditate on or commemorate this spiritual journey…I guess this is a version of this for St James….
