Hey bruh. You can also ask God in the name of Jesus. God is faithful. Ask him with faith and believe that you received it. Also don't stop believing and praying. Pray without ceasing.

Fear does not come from the Lord! If you believe in Jesus Christ, with all your heart, let the Holy Spirit move within you. If you are Christian, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Just walk the way Jesus told you to walk. I talk to him. Let him be your best friend. And know that God is good, always and all the time. Do not let preachers scare you out of your salvation. All who call upon the name the name of the Lord shall be saved. There were no ifs, ands, or buts to that statement. Keep in mind that a lot of pastors and preachers use their own determination to determine what the word of God means to them. They don’t always use a determination of God. They don’t always listen to what God said. So know the Lord for yourself. Walk the way He told you to walk. Let the Holy Spirit guide you. When you fully embrace God into your heart he will tell you how to walk and let you know when your walk needs to be corrected. The Holy Spirit will tell you so. Do not be afraid. The Lord is your heavenly father, and he loves you so much. He is merciful and forgiving. All you really have to do is know what God said is right and wrong. Know that he will forgive you if you mess up.

I am a 15 year old male, my dream is to be able to preach the gospel and bring glory to Jesus’ name, but I have very bad social anxiety and get really anxious when talking to people especially when it’s a large group, and I’m scared that I’ll freeze, mess up, or people just flat out won’t listen, please pray for me.
Brother in Christ! I had the same problem as you do, actually still do xD. But the Lord helped me realize, that helped me slowly get rid of severe social anxiety, is to simply fall in love with Jesus more everyday. And i found that the more i loved the Lord, the more my heart grows compassionate towards lost souls. And the more compassion and love i have for the people, the lesser i get scared because i want them to get saved also. Spend time with God more and simply ask Holy Spirit to show you how to love like Jesus as God loves the people, and you’ll see how much love He’ll pour out to you. So much so that it overcomes ALL fear and anxiety! But, of course, it might take time. So be diligent in doing the basics in Christianity (like praying, reading the Word of God, singing songs of worship, fellowship) with a heart that desires to love Jesus more, and be ready always to share the Good News (you can always start small). You have an excellent goal young man! I’ll be praying for you and to other young ones like you❤

We who are children of God know and believe therefore making us righteous holy and justified because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Live in love, forgive, love your enemies, feed the poor, pray for the sick, pray for the lost, Give at least 10 % of your money in Gods kingdom, follow Jesus, preach the gospel, serve God with your gifts God gave you (in the church, family and outside) do all you can to say thank you to God for your salvation. If you do this, you show that you have faith. If not, you betray yourself.
I must say that as an addict who believes in Christ god told me that if I truly wanted to be with him in heaven that I needed to let go off drugs. Yes, I agree with you. There is a different thing between salvation and having faith. After you are saved, your faith is going to produce good works in that is called fruit. The good work you do after you are saved are for God. You have to turn away from sinful life style. I’m not saying that I’m perfect, no no no, I am not. But every day I repent and strive to be more like Jesus. You are not saved through the work you do, but you are saved through Jesus and having faith and him. That faith that you have will produce good works, and that will change you from the inside out.

If you have the ability to do things that Christ would do and don’t them then it’s dead faith. We don’t put our trust in the works we do. They follow with a heart after God and the fruits/works follow

Brother if you put your faith in Christ you will receive the Holy Spirit who will convict you and lead you to repentance of that. He did the same for me. I was bound by pornography for almost 10 years but over time He helped me shed that sin. Faith comes first, do not fear that you aren't good enough. We all have fallen short of the glory of God. If we could all work our way to salvation, then Christ's death would be meaningless. Remember that. The thief on the cross did no good works to receive salvation, he simply asked the Lord to remember him. God bless you.

Lately I have been feeling pull in my spirit I feel guilty that I don’t pray enough or read the Bible enough. So today this morning I tried to pray and read. I want to have active faith no more dead faith. I love my father in heaven. My desire is to see him in peace. And hear him say well done thy good and faithful servant. I just want to be in his presence again.
Your belief gets you to heaven. James 2 is talking about being usless in your faith. It does not mean you will lose your salvation if you foegot to read the bible. This guy is a false teacher. Works wont save you.

@@EasybelievistYou make a good point, I see what he means by letting faith work in you but it sounds kind of like the Catholic Doctrine where works are what save you, not faith alone. Things like confessing to a priest or getting baptized over and over.
Paul says “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast” Ephesians 2:8-9.
Our charge is to accept Christ as our lord and savior and love Him. How do we love him? By following His commandments. What are His commandments? The same 10 commandments Moses received but summarized as two: Love the Lord your god with all that you are (mind, strength, soul, heart) and love your neighbor as yourself. Following these commandments are the works faith produces.
If you have faith that does not produce these works, it is dead faith. You don’t have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. No one can have an encounter with the Lord and not have their life transformed in some way unless their faith is truly dead.

The word of God is clear that salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone AND once we BELIEVE on the one He sent, we have become the righteousness of God. The believer is now holy, righteous, blameless, justified and sanctified. Forever. Now, AFTER salvation, Paul says to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind” to these FACTS. Closeness to God is not a feeling, it’s a fact. Feelings can change and be all over the place but those feelings don’t change our identity in Him. So when we are “feeling” unworthy, distant or dirty, we BELIEVE WHAT HE SAYS ABOUT US. Believe it anyway regardless of how we feel. That’s walking by faith, and not by sight. There is nothing that we do that undoes the work of Christ on our behalf.
You are saved by grace as it leads you to sanctification by keeping the commandments.
Otherwise you never fully received grace.
No matter what, nothing you do can take you to heaven. It is only faith that takes you to heaven, and only God knows your heart. But true faith should show fruit.
Question: Salvation is given only through Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. In other words there is nothing that you can do that will let you go to heaven alone. Believe it was Billy Grahm who said that if his life was based only on his best and holiest actions, he would be afraid every night because he would go to hell. The only way to Heaven is through Jesus, you can’t work your way to Heaven (believe it mentions it in Ephesians/Romans). Another pastor I listened to talked about how acknowledging Jesus as lord isn’t enough either, as demons in the New Testament are constantly seen calling/referring to Jesus as the son of God. Therefore, I believe (and this is where I’m asking for clarification) that you are trying to make an analogy similar to the one CS Lewis made in Mere Christianity: basically image Jesus as a light and you a mirror. The more you believe and accept Jesus into your life, the more bright you become. Therefore, even though your main goal wasn’t to be bright, but rather get closer to the light, those who have that foundational belief in Christ find themselves doing his works, not for praise or because it makes them appear good, but because it becomes a part of their nature. In conclusion, the will of the father is to truly believe that Jesus is the son of God, love the lord with all your heart and soul, and realize that Jesus is the only way to salvation (can’t work your way to Heaven). Then, just as the light gets brighter with more light, you become a better person (doing better and holier actions) by believing in Jesus.

I see where you were trying to go but faith is the key. You are putting faith and works together. We are under the spirit of grace and so all Jesus wanted us to do is believe the gospel, truly believing is being faithful.

Thanks! Got the chance to tell the good news of the lord to an inmate today. Not an immediate change, but I could see something was sown. Felt amazing to let the Holy Spirit work through me to reach someones heart. All I had to do is sideline fear of judgment and submit. Holy Spirit will produce good work if we allow it.

You've got to start from verse 14 for the full context of this passage. In context, James was already speaking to saved individuals if you start reading from the beginning of chapter 1. People are called to do good for profitability so others can see in verse 14 of the verse, and Titus 3:8 also references profitability when it comes to good works. This has nothing to do with faith in Christ not being enough.

I know the feeling. Pray, pray, pray. Pray especially about everything where you choose not to obey God, every fear that hinders you from following the Spirit-wherever you "can't" or "won't" in your Christian obedience- take it to God and pray. Ask for power from the Holy Spirit. Ask for God to change anything in you holding you back (try to be specific here and name specific faults, sins, fears, patterns of disobedience).
Secondly, keep on reading the Bible, especially Jesus' words, and pondering them, and striving to take in their meaning. Jesus tells you his words will set you free from sin (John 8:31-32). Not that you will be completely without sin, but that you will be able to overcome sin, and confess to God quickly and repent when you fall short. Also, Jesus prays to the Father "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth". Since Jesus is the Word of God, he speaks the words of the Father. And we can see from what Jesus says here that the Father's words sanctify us, making us holy and separate from sin. Therefore, keep "chewing" on Jesus' words and pray.

Salvation is a free gift from God, it is not of the works and striving you do that will get you into heaven. It is trusting Jesus Christ for your salvation. God is working in you and changing you until the Day of Christ Jesus. Rest easy and let the Lord do his work, just acknowledge your sin and confess he knows you, and he is working to make you more like his son. If we are being honest none of us in our own selves can come close to heaven, our righteousness is like dirty rags to God, we can't go to heaven on our own. That is why God sent his son down to die on the cross, exchanging humanity's sin with Jesus's righteousness and so now we are covered by Jesus. When you accept the gospel which I can tell that you have, you are now saved and will be sanctified throughout your life, and no matter what you do, nothing will take it away, nothing can pluck you out of God's hands. The saved man still sins because we are not perfect here on earth we need to become the new man in order to fully stop sinning, and that will happen when we die, and God creates a new earth and gives us a new body.
For the saved man on earth, sin affects only this life through earthly consequences, but it does not affect our eternal life, and the salvation we need to go to heaven, do understand, that this is not a license to sin, because you can still make your life here on earth much more harder and strenuous through sinning, to the point where the sin is not even worth it anymore and you feel as if you've lost your freedom. Because you are saved Eduardo, whether you sin or not, you will be in heaven. If your sin is something that can lead to an early death here in this life, then absolutely take measures to stop sinning. Get help, God has practical resources that he has set in place where you can seek help with his guidance. If your sin does not lead to death, but it is hindering you and your life in a significant way, keep praying somehow you will be healed from it, and look back and wonder how, it is because God is working in us nonstop!! Absolutely, we should take measures to stop all sins, but the truth is that, it is not practical because we will always have sin in some way and run ourselves crazy. I struggle as well, but I am not where I used to be, so I know I am changing. Trust God!!! And I pray you understand what I am saying.🙏
Hey Eduardo, I would say that you should re-read the Gospel of John if you want to see if you are going to Heaven. Do not let anyone discourage and mislead you at all. If God leads you, read the whole chapter. If you want to be sure if you are going to Heaven, you have to do the will of the Father which is found in John 6:39-40. Start from verse 22 for the full context.

It is true that the will of God is to believe him whom He sent. Does that also include believing Jesus' full statement in Matthew 7? Pastor Emilio included the warning that many people will say Lord Lord, but only those who do the will of the Father will enter into Heaven, and that Jesus will reject many as practicing "lawlessness".
What was not included was the link between these verses and those that follow in Matthew 7:24-27. In verse 24, Jesus says "Therefore", or "οὖν" in Greek. That tells us that the verses that follow relate to the previous verses. In other words, doing the will of God means being a person who "hears these words of [Jesus] and does them" making them "like a wise man who built his foundation on the rock". Jesus use of "οὖν" directly connects doing the will of God, and NOT being a worker of lawlessness, with hearing the commands in the Sermon on the Mount and doing them. The other way of understanding most of the words from the Sermon on the Mount is that we are to love one another, which is how the idea is typically expressed both in the Gospel of John and in John's letters. Of course, the Sermon also contains commands specific to loving God, like serving God and not Mammon, for instance.
It's true we need to believe Jesus. That means believing he died for our sins and was resurrected. It also includes believing the other statements he made, too, even if they might be "hard sayings" for us.
But you'll stumble along your way. That doesn't mean you're not saved, it means you're human.
What's important is that you feel guilty for the sins you commit, and actively work to not commit those sins again.

You need to act like it as well by conducting yourself like he would want you to. That means keeping His commands as He kept His Fathers commands (John 15:9-12). You MUST do the work also. When you receive Jesus into your heart, YOU ARE TRANSFORMED. You no longer want to drink voluntarily. You may not stop right away, but you pray to Jesus to help your addiction. She drinks, doesn't want to stop, and I think she won't stop. I pray God help her in her struggle. She doesn't see this as a sin. She hurts her daughter, her whole family, now kicked out my brother. I started this within the year and re-dedicated my life to Him. He is changing me slowly. Just believe with ALL your heart in what Jesus did on the cross for YOU, repent and have a good heart! Love him and those around you! LET HIM DO THE WORK BECAUSE HE WILL CHANGE YOU LITTLE BY LITTLE OR SOMETIMES OVERNIGHT ALMOST. Mine has been slowly but it is happening! Slow to us may also be fast to Christ. A thousand years are like a day to Him.
Read the Bible when sad or weary! In fact, try to read it EVERYDAY!! That is our antenna to heaven!! Everything is in there but rightly divide between the laws of the Jews vs. the laws of the Gentiles. Then it ALL will start to make more sense.

Nothing you can will ever be enough to earn your way into heaven. Turning from sins doesn’t solve the issue that we deserve punishment for how filthy we are and that we need a solution. Christ is the solution he gives you his righteousness, his blood cleanses you completely it was the only way to be free from this punishment that we all deserve. It’s the only thing that solves it and pays for it. No other sacrifice is pure enough. God is very aware of our sinful nature so only he being so perfect can provide the perfect solution!

Whenever I see someone homeless that needs to eat I usually always ask are you okay do you need something to eat or drink.l? Now sometimes still say yes and I usually can get them something to help them. Other times they are like I'm good but thank you. I hope God can see I am making effort to help the homeless even know I'm on limited funds. I think the term is helping with in means is the expression I'm looking for.

I want to be honest. But I’ve recently started to have suicidal thoughts because I fear I can never really be saved. I haven’t attempted anything but just had those thoughts run through my mind. I feel like I might as well give up. I lived a self deceived life before. I struggle badly with assurance and so this anxiety has been torture. I worry maybe my faith is fake. I worry if maybe I don’t have the Holy Spirit. I fear maybe my faith is dead, despite sharing the gospel and other things I normally wouldnt have done. I feel like giving up but don’t really want to, but that’s where I’m at. This is all my fault for deceiving myself for 10 years.
I probably have depression and severe anxiety that’s undiagnosed. My anxiety started in college, particularly 2019 or earlier.
Please, anyone else having struggles please seek help. I beg you to seek help.

You being truly concerned about your salvation speaks volumes. Unbelievers can care less. But I encourage you to examine yourself. Be honest with yourself and with God. He knows anyway. Are you truly following Him with all your heart mind soul and strength? Can you see your faith. If not repent and begin to talk to God daily about your walk with Him. I was in the same space for a season but God is always faithful and He showed me where I was and why. He showed me where I was grieving Him. So humble yourself, be honest and repent, and turn your heart to God. Trust Him at His word. Pray this helps. I understand. I WAS there. God is faithful to keep us from falling away from Him

Hello, I encourage you to make sure that you are doing the spiritual basics like reading the Bible, praying, and attending a Biblical church. Every time you are tempted, say the Word of God to fight your temptation like what Jesus did in Matthew 4. And make sure to truly repent, to come in agreement with God that what you are doing is wrong and not just saying sorry to Him to not just feel guilty. I experienced that before and God set me free. I know it is hard, but remember the verse 1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

But after a while I realized, that the reason I was like this is because I was trusting in my own works and obedience to determine my salvation.
And now I am at rest knowing that salvation is a gift that we receive by faith.
Remember that Jesus did it all and you cannot add anything.
All you have to do is to have faith in Him and not in your self.
Your sins are nothing compared to God's grace.

I hear what you are saying: but Jesus said the will of the Father is to believe on Him who HE sent. Romans even said to him that worketh not but believe on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for as righteousness. This is not me saying we shouldn’t strive to be holy because I know: that’s the first thing people will say is “so you can go on doing XYZ” no. There are consequences. We see Jesus giving a parable on laziness. Laziness cam come in different forms, one being giving away to sin, to not spreading the seed of the gospel, to not helping the needy etc. This is where works come in. And, those saved will automatically perform works of righteousness, and won't be boastful about it but give God the glory because they know that the works they perform are inspired by the Holy Spirit. Also, we can ask God for guidance when it comes to these, remember when Apostle Paul said that we should do nothing to cause a brother to stumble? WHERE ARE YOU GETTING that the will of the Father means to stop sinning, when Jesus Christ said the will was to believe. You just made that up, and I'll take Jesus' words over yours.
The ironic thing is, this verse is actually refuting works salvation, but the works salvationists just completely disregard what Jesus says the will of the Father is, only show that one verse without context so that you only see it at face value, and then say “See? that proves its works!” Nope. Many will brag about their wonderful WORKS, they’ll say “I cast out demons! I preached! I REPENTED OF MY SINS! I made Jesus lord of my life!” And God will damn them because they trusted in their works for salvation, BUT NOT PUTTING THEIR FAITH IN JESUS ALONE for their salvation. They did not believe on Jesus, but their works, which is why they’ll be damned. Don’t get me wrong, you SHOULD try to live a Holy life, but that is after you’re saved.
People are like “That verse means lukewarm Christians that aren’t turning away from sin” which makes zero sense because a lukewarm Christian would not be casting out demons or doing wonderful works. That verse is referring to unbelievers of Christ’s promise and relying on their performance

bro i dont even know what to believe anymore. some people say that you only need faith to be saved and quotes ephesians 2:8-9, while others say that faith without works is dead and brings up james 2:24. this guy tells me that faith without works will send people to hell while another one says that those who believe their works will get them into heaven will perish. im really confused and would love to hear some of ur opinions guys. I asked God for a clear answer and not long after came across a short video on Instagram talking about the this. The man was saying that we are saved by faith and in faith alone. Yet there are still things that Jesus wants us to do. God always knows what's best so the works we do and the works of others are good for us. But it's not what's going to get us I to heaven. I think. I'm still struggling a bit in what to belive.

It works like this ....man does not seek after God in his natural state. But man still has the capacity to believe its innate in all Mankind regardless of being saved or not. The Devil has the capacity to believe also and trembles. But belief is not faith. Belief is the acknowledgement that something is true at face value. Faith on the other hand , is akin to trust and that means handing power over to someone else. Depraved man does not have innate faith in God. So when a man is exposed to the gospel and that gospel is believed it has the power to give faith to the one who believes and that faith is the conduit in which a man will call on God to save him. Anyone who does that means he receives the message, trusts , hands his life over and calls on Jesus to save Him. And God will save that person by regenerating him and making him born again. The process of regeneration is where God gives him a new heart, with new desires , a heart that cooperates with the Holy Spirit that dwells in that heart. Paul calls it the inner man or new man. This is why the Christian should be now guided by the Holy Spirit from now on and not by pass Him by trying to live out the Christian life guided by the law of Moses why? Because the Christian is now dead to the law and has a new master (Jesus ) who works the desires of the new heart to mature as a Christian. This is called walking in the Spirit. Now the old nature is gone but we still have the flesh (body and mind ) that is unredeemed and will go back to the dust. Any Christian who is tempted to law based living is living Christianity in human effort (this is called legalism ) which amounts to religiosity. In turn the one who allows himself to be guided by the Holy Spirit will not carry out the desires ( still current ) of the flesh. And as a result will experience the fruit of the Spirit ..Love, joy, peace , patience , kindness, meekness , gentleness, goodness, self control and will never need the law as a guide because there is no law against such things. The moment we get into law based living we will sin because we credit ourselves , we will not be able to be obedient and furthermore we won't be acting in faith. Whatever is not of faith is sin. To sum it up Christianity is faith based living from start to finish and everywhere in between.

From time to time, I find myself growing closer to the Lord then distance myself from him for a month or so. I’ve realized that Im not as spiritual strong and faithful as I was a month ago. I’ve been wanting to get closer to the Lord but Im afraid I’ll distance myself because of worldly stuff again then repeat the cycle. Any advice I could get would be extremely helpful🙏
My tip is even if you slip and sin, repent and draw closer to god. Most people draw away from god in these moments, don’t be deceived into thinking I can’t face god, or that it’s hopeless. No, if and when you do fail, (because your human) draw closer to god and you’ll notice that you fail a lot less! God will give you a new heart that loves him more then sin, and slowly you will start choosing him more often! Let Jesus pick you up when you fall get back up and pick up your cross and keep moving! ❤ u and I really hope this helps someone!

I feel the Holy Spirit has told me that I've passed God's mercy line. I should have been obeying what He wanted me to do, but I ignored time and time again. I felt led to compensate ,apologize for wrongs, and go to the jail for breaking the law. I feel like I've passed God's mercy line my conscience troubles me daily. I even felt that God told me I've passed the line last Saturday. I ignored for years, now I feel like God told me I've passed the line on Saturday. Jesus will come back its too late to right my wrongs. I chose a wrong choice and now I am lost forever. I failed his will.
God’s grace is greater than your sin, seems to me that the enemy is lying to you. Please do not give up, Jesus Christ died for you. No amount of sin or evil can seperate us from his love. He loves you so much, just trust in him. We can’t outsin God’s grace. Please keep persevering and trusting in Christ

I admit that I need to go back to the basics. I need to actually do the works through faith in the Lord. By watching this video I suddenly saw a vision of me in a mirror and I saw "dead faith" in that mirrored version of me. I should practice reading the bible daily no matter what situation I am in and pray daily, and the most important thing for me is to resist the devil trying to lurk around me causing me to sin again. James 1:22-25 shows us that the word we believe should transform into the works we do
The question is, are we justified BY Faith alone (Rom 4:5-6)..or.. BY works and NOT Faith alone (James 2:24)?? These are TWO DIFFERENT doctrines of justification. The key is to understand what is written TO you and what is written TO someone else. see Matt 10;5-7,15;24, and James 1;1. Who is being addressed??

Yes, but Jesus said "you will know them by their fruits", you can tell if somebody has a living faith in Jesus or a dead one by what they do. It's not that the works are of our own strength, but it is by the working of the Holy Spirit in us when we abide in Christ, following him, we will be compelled to do things we wouldn't have done before because God is working in us, like repenting of sin. I think it is in the book of James where he says 'faith without works is useless'. But not legalistically, it is a work of God, we need to ask him to give us this change of heart
