Jamestown NY Bike Ride, East 2nd Street Downtown to Newton & Thayer on the Northside, June 2024

Just out riding my bicycle in Jamestown New York again, this time from East 2nd Street Downtown to Newton & Thayer on the Northside, featuring a long stretch of Lakeview Ave that i have filmed & shared in other videos, but this was a particularly nice day. Filmed with my GoPro Hero 10 Black w/ the helmet mount. June 2024

There used to be a great record shop right there on 2nd street. I used to save part of my lunch money & paper route money and get stuff there in the early 80's. Good to see the Taco Hut still surviving after all these years. Living on the Northside off Lakeview, it was a thing to walk all the way downtown during the summer. It was probably...maybe 2.5 miles one way, but you just laced them up and trekked down there. There was a little magazine shop right before you go underneath that old railroad bridge to get to the Cycle Shop...forgot the street. I used to buy wrestling magazines there. Across the street was a little ice cream place that had a Q-Bert video game. Looking on google maps they are both boarded up buildings now. Great video!
