I love how your whole personality is just so infused with peace, you are radiating tranquility. What visa are you on to be able to live there for so long? Or how did you do it? Thank you! (also love the tip about the language, I was wondering if I should be learning some Indonesian before arriving)
It was a pretty nice vide to watch . Overall quite informative . I would appreciate if you could show some footage or pictures of some affordable places to stay and eat . Looking forward to hear from you as i am planning my next trip to Bali soon .
Yeah, sorry about that. My place was so dirty when I filmed it. Since it seems to be popular I am planning to make a new video on it very soon as there is so much interest on it! Will see if I can find some places to have in the video.
Can you please provide the best links or apps to find affordable rentals in Bali and the area. Thank you so, so much, for spelling the names of the towns/cities that would be more affordable.
Thank u for sharing! Asking around is always wise way to start! Am retiree. Anything A5500/- for a monthly rental in today’s market? Am not too fussy about location. But a decent clean set up with a kitchen would be essential.
Purely out of curiostiy and also since I over analyze everything. Was the slight horizontal bounce during the video intentional? Never noticed it before but I could see that being used to subjectively persuade people to agree with what's being said. Again as previously stated I over analyze and this could just be the result of wind or an unstable surface.
I use Agoda a lot when I am finding for short stays. Usually it is cheaper there than actually going to the property. You can start out there, and check out the place in person.
Hi and thanks for your brilliant video! I have a question where are you living in Ubud on that rental price, looking for long term house, or flat with kitchen, garden?
It is even more difficult to find now, especially now getting into the busiest months of the year. The easiest at this point would probably be to drive around the area on a bike and ask around. Generally stay away from the tourist areas as these have hiked up prices unless you are willing to pay. Check out where locals are living and maybe ask what they are paying to get a feel for the area.
Just discovered your channel. Awesome content! Last time I was there I was searching for some land to lease north of Ubud. But finding the right place takes time, so next time there I'm going to get a long term lease like you have. The areas I really like are Pajangan, Bresela and Taro. They're not too far out of Ubud and very peaceful. Do you think it will be hard to find small villa similar to yours in those areas? I'll be there in late April. Keep up the great work.
That is the price. Per month. Could probably get it cheaper with a year contract. 20 mbit internet. I could pay 30$ more per month for 100mbit speed, but I don’t feel like I need it at this moment
I use agoda a lot for short term stays. If you use Airbnb you can scout for a place and take off at least 30% of the price when bargaining since this is the service fee to Airbnb. Good to have an idea what it might cost before you go there so you know where to start bargaining

Hey! It looks beautiful. Thanks for the amazing videos! I and my wife want to live in Ubud. Is there any chance to find a place that has a minimum of 2 rooms and with a chance we to modify furniture? Do landlords allow to change the furniture? I mean, I saw some places that have 2 rooms but each of these rooms have a bed inside. We don't need to have 2 beds :D We would like to transform the other room into a working room or something like that. Thanks in advance for the answer!
That depends a lot on the Landlord what they will allow. I was lucky to find a place that has a great landlord that allows us to customise and paint the room in any way we want, as long as we do not destroy it. I guess the best way is just to ask as it really depends from place to place
Thanks for lots of info! It would be so nice to have filmed the places you are talking about.....whilst talking over the video and showing places, beaches ; hotels surrounding areas when talking about costs and prices of places.... so important to see places to get a real feel of what you are describing makes it more appealing and more of a reality to anybody wishing to travel to Bali. Thanks so much for taking the time to inform us...have a blessed and happy travels! Lovely pool background!
On which site I should search for 11 dollar month home in Ubud Bali?? My search shows 1000 dollars home.

How do you spell the website you suggested to start looking at cheap accommodation before moving? Thank you for this info!!!

@@olestories thanks so much!!!
The immigration at the airport always ask for your hotel booking so I can't come in person. My only choice is to book online and hope for the best
You can always find some cheap short term stays on Agoda. When I sleep in Canggu I can sometimes find last minute deals for 100k for a private room
Thank for the good content!! I’m planning to move there too
Not sure where can I live
Mr. Ole really loved your down-to-earth style post! I wish you showed the house you got as to give us an idea of what can 1.5M get.
