csswallet they buy wholesale bcoz they're a restaurant. So they get the ingredients and all for much cheaper as they buy in bulk. Less cost so more margin. Also bcoz its a restaurant and not just some stall, they can also charge higher so even more margin

Doing Biryani business is the recommended choice for everyone. Less investment, less labour and obviously not dependent on the dollar rate.
Bro, the biggest example you will ever find in biryani history is "Student biryani" (from karachi) this guy started his business with "Raadi" and end of each and every day he made this much money that he got no place to store it, soon he open a shop and then many shops and now his whole family travelling world, even his grandsons.

Azad bhai, I have done MS computer sciens and have worked in the field or IT in 5 different countries. I like cooking and my own business that is why I started a Biryani shop in Karachi. And Now its been more than 5 months now. Just want to explain that things are not as simple as you have mentioned here. First the cost of a good biryani of 1 KG is not 380 or 420 it is more.
1. Price fluctuate a lot in Pakistan. Recently price of 1 KG tomatoes was up to 300 Rs even in wholesale market. And with 1/2 KG chicken you can not provide 2 pieces of in 6 plates. You will need 1 chicken weight will be around 1.2-1.5 KG (meat weight) beause 1 KG chicken is small to make proper Biryani pieces.
2. Chicken prices also fluctuate between +- 5 - 60 Rs per kg every day. Ginger and Garlic prices have now increased 30% now.
3. Taste, smell and look are the main thing to retain customers and that requires more items than you have mentioned here. Like mint, coriander, green chillies, lemon, yogurt etc (water and dishwasher). Also Gass and oil prices are much more than you have mentioned. 200-250 ml oil is requied for 1 KG that costs 40-50 Rs as of today's price.
4. You have added cost of packaging but forogot to add plastic bag, transportation cost and in case of a shop, shop rent, electricity and salaries. This will increase Biryani cost per plate a lot more.
5. Cost of 1 KG good (taste, smell and look) biryani is between 650-680 as of today's price and this price does not include shop expanses at all.

Portions made were 6.5 with half kg chicken, and as standard there is 2 chicken pieces in each portion, so with half kg chicken how can you get 13 pieces of chicken?,are these tiny pieces?

Some other details and items which I forgot to add are brown onions and dried plums. Anyway main point here is cost is much higher then given in this video.
As gov is not allowing cabins and thela on roads in most of the areas in Karachi therefore shop is the only choice. And shop rent in good areas is very high. Biryani business is mainly successful in areas where people like to eat outside or have to eat outside like office areas. Also most people (workers) only afford up to 60-80 Rs lunch. Consider this as well. I will not recommend residential areas where people cook at home. Shop in office areas are more successful.
One more thing to consider is that if you are not spending money on marketing then depending on the area your business can take 2 months to 1 year to get enough customers to earn from then business. If you have 100 customers then you will be selling 15-20 plates this is because people do not eat same item on daily basis and on month ends most people can not afford Biryani.
Bhai you are a legend nobody teaches for free nowadays massive respect.
Who said biryani me doodh ni dalte , in lucknawi briyani milk is used and trust me its amazing , much better that normal biryani .

back in 2009 , I had a biryani restaurant in India ... 1 kg biryani : 1 kg chicken , 1 kg rice , 6 eggs , Biryani masala , khada masala , dahi , hari mich , salt ... no tomatoes , kesari milk for color .. used to come around Rs 350 , 12 portions in 1 kg Each sold for Rs 95

I'm MS engineering Management student and to test my idea, I started my business with 2,000 at home, in two months I earned more then 70,000 - (PART TIME) I give only 1-2 days to my business per week because of my studies (no excuse, I genuinely like my studies) ...... I get so many orders that I had to increase the prices - (to balance demand & supply), my profit margin is 70-80% per product. now I can't wait my MS completion 😜

restaurant business has 3 to 6 percent profit margins. fastfood apprx 15 percent. you need to include labor charges, wastage, rent, govt fees, taxes, marketing. equipment charges, equipment repair , gas electricity, utensils , even lost utensils. this is not an easy business to run

@@HayyanKakakhel 12 rupee per plate or location achi thi, daily 110 plates se 125 plates around about sale thi, 86 days kaam kiya, i know 1 lac se zayada bantay ha paisay baqi k mein ne dukan chornay pe honay walay lose men count kiya because new utencils bad mein kam qeemat pe he sale hoty hai to 7300 reh gaey thay profit mein, maray rice best quality thay or quanity b theik he thi. 2010 mein biryani k liya best rice 90 rupee per kg thay.
