An alternate use for the shoe compartment is to throw in a hydration bladder in there, then route the straw out the top pocket and fix it to the lash point. Then the water bottle holder is your backup hydration
I do like the PU coated zips and the overall look of the bag but like some others I think I’ll stick with my Aer Go Pack with the two water bottle pockets and the front shovel pocket. Great review as always!
The Aer Go Pack 2 is better in my opinion. For a day pack, easy access is important as you're wearing the pack most of the time - that Aer pack has the large external pocket. Also the two water bottle holders.
The Tortuga Packable Backpack is essentially this but cheaper and more packable. I see others saying Aer Go Pack 2 as an alternative daypack, but I consider that a compressable (flat) backpack that is in a slightly different category than ones than can fold up into a packable small cube.
I'm trying to choose between the Osprey stuff pack, Matador refraction and the Bellroy lite ready pack! I want it to be comfortable, breathable, durable & packable. I would like to be able to store it in the Aer travel pack 3, and use it as a personal item if necessary and in my travel destination. I want everything 😂😅!! Any suggestions?
I prefer the Matador Refraction, we are publishing a full review in a week or so AND publishing a roundup of the 11 Best Compressible bags shortly after 💪
@@Nomads.Nation Hola, thanks for your help!! You know how to make it fun to watch backpack videos. Stop the dangle!!! 🤣 I hope to see that roundup soon. Greetings from Mexico! 🇲🇽
$140 USD seems like a lot for a simple bag. For the price PU coated zipper seems right. I would buy the same backpack with less exotic materials and regular ykk zips for maybe half the price. Most nylon materials have a coated backing, so it’s going to be mostly water proof anyway. I own something similar and you are right, perfect for travel! Water bottle pockets are easier to load when the pack is not empty! Lol. Thanks for the videos.
Aaron, not just you, but not digging the YT trend of the "coming up" intro thing. You already have chapter stamps to refer to and I always skip over the coming up part. Others may disagree. But the review parts are informative and awesome as usual! My 2 cents.
Thanks for your feedback! We just added this a few months ago and haven’t gotten any negative comments on it yet, but I’ll keep a tally and if enough ppl complain we’ll consider getting rid of it 💪🏻
@@Nomads.Nation Please don't consider it a complaint but more just a feature I personally won't use. Not slagging it, it is done well, just not my thing.
I like the organization of the outside pocket and the sternum strap. A second water bottle pocket/zippered pocket on the other side would be nice for quick access. Maybe another dump pocket inside would be helpful also. Overall, too steep in price for what it is 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you for sharing and reviewing this bag. The price is a little steep for what you get for sure. I prefer no water bottle pocket on the outside, for me it’s bulky and two would be heavy and bulky. Inside for my water bottle works. Would consider the other Bellroy lite bag for less money.
I am excited for your backpack to be released!! Thank you for content, you really have helped me in my latest Bellroy purchases. Keep making your great videos!!
I probably wouldn't try to compress the bag to pack it. Instead, I would use it as a sort of packing cube, even putting packing cubes inside it. I think that makes for more efficient use of valuable packing sspace.
Guess I won't put shoes inside the bag like that, I would rather put an iPad there. Btw, the yellow Lamborghini appeared twice in the background looked awesome. 😆
Its interesting, I went through a period when I was buying and trying a lot of "packable" bags. For backpacks that have no back padding (like the aer go or rennen ripstop) this longer tube shape seems to work out. My favorite compressible bag that I've tried is the similarly shaped Cotopaxi Batac (has 18L and 24L sizes). if you can live with the crazy colors, the batac is a good price, has some of the best thin straps I've tried (they somehow made thin straps have good structure and support) and has double external bottle pockets. This one has that nice Bellroy look and materials, I love a "brain" type pocket, those are prob my fave type of external pockets.
Too expensive ! My son will probably destroy this within a semester… I’ll pay $70… doesn’t boundary supply have a light weight line! I do believe their prices are more reasonable and they have more heft… that’s a no for me… I can’t edit to receive my fyro for Christmas or New Year…I’ll go with BS in this case eventhou I’m team belroy mostly

i completely agree with the second water bottle/umbrella holder!

For a lite day pack I recommend the aer go pack 2
love the Go Pack
Would you recommend the aer go pack 2 or the nomatic navigator?

Awesome video, I have the lite sling and love it. Will you be reviewing the venture ready 20l bag?
Thanks mate! No immediate plans but hopefully soon
I couldn't resist and went ahead and ordered the bag today - 50% off was just too good to pass up! 😆😆
great deal!
where did you get it for 50% off?

I too prefer the Go Pack
They are different, Aer is heavy and not compressible one.
Two water bottle holders. Could have maybe added a softer interior for the top compartment for the glasses?
could have been a nice touch for sure

what do you think about the boundary supply Rennen Ripstop Daypack?
love it! Def a better value buy, but not as high of quality imo
