To overcome the glitchy SSD route, take HDMI out to monitor/recorder (like BM Video Assist or Atomos) it would have been nice to have SDI out as well. I would consider dropping my GH5, but the Leica/Lumix 12-60 is not a lens on their list.
there's also a turbo mount coming; an EF mount with an included 0.71x* speedbooster. *not sure about the crop factor of the speedbooster though 0.71x is most likely.

I think ZCam looks really good, but needs some time to mature on their software side. But that will come with time as the product line matures. The features that I need like superior AF and ease of operation for shooting just aren't on most cinema cameras ... I think the choice to use one instead of a mirrorless very much depends on what type of shooting you will be doing. Good show ... enjoyed it. I certainly would consider a zCam if I was a documentary, corporate or short film shooter.

Anything with a wide aperture to let in more light light honestly. Personally I don't like being at anything more than f/4 if I can, unless it's needed. Problem bout low light is that the lens can only do so much. The lens I'm using in the video has an aperture of 2.8 at it's largest, which is decent. If there's anything I've learned, if your camera is struggling with noise due to a darkish room, the easiest fix is more lighting. But if it's still a problem like in my OM-D, you might need a new camera with a newer sensor that can deal with darkness better at higher ISO settings. Like on my old OM-D, I was still using the same lens and lighting as I am with the Z Cam, but it's clear that my Z Cam's sensor was just that much better in dealing with noise at higher ISO settings.
Is it possible to use the Ethernet to automatically off-load clips from the camera's card to a PC ? That's something I'd be really interested in, for scenarios where the camera is difficult to reach. Plus, it'd save a lot of time. EDIT : also, any chance it might support ONVIF and/or NDI ? Any time I see an Ethernet port on a camera I get so many cool ideas but I'm always disappointed... :-)

that is not how dynamic range works. The profile doesn't give you more dynamic range..... Their is X amount of dynamic range in any given scene. since this is indoors in a room there isn't much of it, therefore it essentially lifts the blacks.
I love my ZCAM E2. Pros: Superb hi spec camera from an excellent company with splendid after sales and service. Cons: It 's made in China and this will be the last thing I will ever buy that is made in China... I politely criticised the CCP on the ZCAM facebook page and got banned as a member. Just goes to show ZCAM company is just like CCP...
Criticizing ZCAM and getting banned is a lot different from criticizing the CCP on the ZCam page and getting banned. Considering the current state of politics and turmoil, politics can probably affect their company, so the ban(in their mind) was likely just business.
I would say that the E2-M4 competes more against the GH5-S than the GH5. The GH5 has IBIS and the GH5-S has more dynamic range and low light capabilities
Depends on the battery, but I can easily manage a day of shooting with 2 Sony NPF970 batteries and still have a good amount of power left on the second. Most days I just need one battery for my shooting, and I still have power in it. I SHOULD NOTE that I use my iPad as a wireless monitor, so I don't have a recording monitor hooked up to it that would drain more battery.

I know that most people prefer a speed booster, but I prefer the tiny MFT lenses.

500 is native i believe it goes down to 125

were you able to get the z cam e2 m4 to work with ef zoom lens using metabone? i don't think the aperture function is available.

Currently, no. But I checked up with the peeps in a ZCam group and they let me know that a LANC to UART cable might be made in the future.

What's the quality like using the LAN streaming? Is it a usable way to capture quality footage into a PC or is it just for webcam usage?
