Their website is a very good source to find any resource you need for these cameras. You can download free LUTs, firmware updates, users manuals, anything you need from there with no issue. I don't see a lot of activity on their social media feeds on them doing a lot of Firmware updates, but they're easy to find when they do roll them out.
@@VyachRakitin-VRFilms thank you! Good suggestion! I know they work really well on locked off shots, I'd be curious how they work in a handheld capacity
Dude great video! Thanks for making this! I was shooting on an eva1 & s1h. Sold them. I’ve got a gh7 & bgh1. I’ve kept them. I picked up a pair of red Komodo OG cameras and they are fantastic. But a camera with a great h.265 & dynamic range is what I want to fill out my arsenal. After watching this I can see that maybe this isn’t the move or much of an improvement based on IQ over my gh7 & bgh1. So I’ll just stick with those and save the money lol thanks again!
@@ChrisFlores22 absolutely! Glad it helped. Couple notes I'll add; the dynamic range of the M4 is much better of you use the straight MFT mount, I think the EF speedbooster was causing the blooming issues. Second, I just recently picked up the S6, and it solves the problem of dynamic range I mentioned, plus you can install the eND module, and it obviously shoots h.265. Plus, a secondhand one is about the same price as a new M4. Hope this helps some more!
@@nickamammone I’ve seen some videos in the past saying zcam makes things confusing when it comes to switching frames rates and codecs or things are scatter throughout menu pages. Is that true? What other cons can you share when it comes to zcam and your new s6? I’ve got loads of mft lenses and ef lenses so i kinda feel stuck with sticking to mft because I’ll never get my money back on them lol but the smaller size of my mft lenses comes in so handy when traveling for conferences
Totally feel ya on the lens investment. That's why I still have my M4 for gimbal use, then S6 for handheld/tripod use. I don't think the menus are too confusing, especially when you use the app. I also custom map the buttons on the side of the camera to switch framerate very quickly. Biggest downsides now I would say is the lowlight on the S6 isn't phenomenal, but still usable, there isn't a great internal raw codec (they have ZRAW but it's difficult to use), and as I said in the video unknown pedigree if being hired by other production companies is important to you.
@@nickamammone oh sick! Please let me know your experience. I’ve been using the f6 for many years and it’s such a beast with its full frame image and quality. The dynamic range is pretty outrageous to be honest. Even compared to my Fuji xh2s.
Hello Bro! Thanks your video. I would like to ask about the wireless antenna? Does it apply to any kind? I bought a second-hand camera and they didn't give me this. and what monitor screen you use. I tried converting my zcam to wireless.
@@abelbomb1581 all the ZCam models have the port for the antenna with the ability to be controlled from the app. I've learned you can't use a third party antenna, so if you don't have it, you'll have to buy it directly from ZCam. I use a Portkeys BM5II, but that's just because of the size of it. In theory you could use your phone or a tablet as a monitor because you'll get all the assist features a monitor would have directly from the app. Hope this helps!
I bought my Z CAM E2 M4 in 2022, done a lot of projects with it and it's the best investment ever.
Great stuff. Thanks for the video. How is the Z Cam support? Particularly in firmware updates and new versions?

@@nickamammone thanks for your help! The s6 looks sick and I like the DR it’s advertised even being an s35 sensor. Have you used mft lenses on it?
@ChrisFlores22 that's the one thing I haven't done yet. I think as long as you use longer lenses, you'll avoid any big vignetting

eND module works with the ef mount no?

If you could find it for less than $2.000 maybe it's a good choice. But, above that price the new Lumix GH7 is a far better option, I think.
