    I remember the Men In Black ride not because of the actual ride, but the amazing cast member that was running it when I went.
    At the beginning, a cast member will essentially act as your tour guide. Just an average cast member, shorts and a shirt. That kinda thing. The one we had was great, he was super funny, really great with crowds, all that. He also always had a huge smile on his face. He totally loved his job. Now, the guide will leads you into a big elevator, similar to Disney's Haunted Mansion. He let's you know what not to do, and then sends you off. He doesn't come in with you though. We go in, door closes, the elevator starts going "down" and we get some build up since we're basically heading to the HQ of MIB. So the doors open and our tour guide walks in to greet us, except now he's wearing a black suit and sunglasses! lol. He's totally straight faced and serious too, he played the shit outta his role! He acted like a completely different person! We weren't expecting to feel like we were in the movie, but it was crazy, it really immersed us into the experience!
    The actual ride itself is more forgettable unfortunately, it's basically the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disney where you shoot Aliens. But man, that Cast Member really carried it for us, he made it way more memorable! Sadly he probably wasn't paid well, and if not, then he should've been because he totally deserves it

      With an attraction like this, just having a performer who really sells it can make the whole experience. Kind of like the old "Great Movie Ride" at Disney's Hollywood Studios--it combined animatronics and a couple of live actors (playing the tour guide, and a "bad guy", either a movie gangster or an Old West bandit who temporarily takes over), and the quality of those live actors really made or broke the whole thing.

    • @tennojiberri

      Fun fact: That big "elevator" that goes down is not a real elevator. It's an enclosed room for theming, and both doors were open to walk through when COVID protocols were high in theme parks.

    It sucks that you didnt get to experience the Jurassic Park version of the ride, cuz tbh the storyline of the ride is a lot more fitting to the ride structure. It starts off as some generic little tour boat ride but somewhere along the line you “head towards an incorrect path” and go straight into a danger zone where everything is going wrong. And then there was this cool car stunt that was awesome to see (whenever it worked)

    Found out last week that almost every ride also has single-rider options now, even if they're not immediately apparent (you can literally go into the fast-pass line and just say you're a single rider and they'll give you a little ticket). My group consistently split up to do these for the longest wait times and it helped a lot. It's not like you can really talk to your friends on a ride, so definitely worth it.

    Dunno if you've ever been to Universal Orlando, the Spider-Man ride there is similar to Transformers, but it's SO much better imo. The Mummy Ride is so odd, cause, yes, 100% you can tell they ran out of room in the old E.T. area, but the backwards thing really works well. My, and I wouldn't call it a complaint, but, my gripe is that, once you're actually on the track wooshing around, it looses the feeling of being in a Pyramid, or Tomb, or whatever it is. And the weird light up decor feels like they went shopping at Spirit Halloween.
    But hey, the main part of that ride is the ride itself, and it's amazing!

    As someone who used to go every year with my grandfather, I loved this video. A few opinions from my many years of visiting
    .
    I agree with #1 whole-heartedly. I always try my hardest to get the ppl I go see it every time.
    .
    The drop on the original Jurassic Park ride was way steeper. I remember almost falling off one time because I was so light and the restraint was too loose because it's a single bar that goes through a whole row
    .
    I personally don't agree with how high Forbidden Journey is on the ranking, but that may be due to personal opinion due to it always breaking down on me while I'm in the more intense bits

    If you get there right when it opens, and follow an optimised path, you can get on every ride in the park with no lines. As you get through more rides, some of the rides will have 3 to 4 minute waits which is nothing.
    The optimised path is just avoiding all the attractions in the front of the park and just going straight to the popular rides first.
    The next best thing if you have to wait is just going in the single rider lines. You and your friends and family aren't guaranteed to get on together, but that's not really an issue unless you want a picture together on the ride. You can also just let other single riders go in front of you until there's a space for 2 or more.

    Some of these rides are at Universal Orlando. I traumatized my family with The Simpsons Ride--DO NOT take people on it unless they're prepared for something that is actually pretty visually intense and motion-sickness-inducing.
    In Orlando, there is no tram tour (any more) and some of the individual stops on the Hollywood tram tour instead get presented as individual rides, and they don't necessarily stand on their own as individual rides. I think Universal is getting past just doing that, though.

    I already knew that Sungwon was a man of culture, and Waterworld is indeed the best damn thing at that park; it's the only thing I remember about universal some fifteen years later.

    I also like the Studio Tour because you see props and sets that are still being used. I've gone multiple times and seen props go away for filming and come back.

    I have not been to any California parks, but Universal Orlando sound infinitely better. It’s worth going to for Velocicoaster alone. Which is by far the best coaster I’ve ridden.
    The rides sound so much better too. The Hulk Coaster, Hagrid’s Motorbike, Escape from Gringots, Men in Black, Spider-Man (which is a way better interpretation of the Transformers ride).
    Way better shows too. The new Jason Bourne show is mind blowing to me how they do the stunts and graphics. And of course the pet show is a must in Orlando as well.
    If you get a chance, definitely go to Universal Orlando. It’s my favorite park as an adult. Way better than Disney World in my opinion

    Dang universal orlando has way more selection. No shade ive just only been to the orlando location and i didnt realize that there was way less in california.
    Also the jurassic world water ride is still jurassic park themed in orlando which makes it automatically better.

  • @bangarangjack
    @bangarangjack 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Yes, the best thing at the park is one of the few things they don't have at the Orlando park. Waterworld is the number 1 thing I miss most from Hollywood. You guys are getting Nintendo world way before we do though, so maybe I'll have to take a trip back after that opens

    • @JackgarPrime
      @JackgarPrime 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I feel like Nintendo world is the main thing that people would go to the Hollywood one for, because right now there's no comparison between that and Orlando, the latter is miles superior as it stands currently.

    • @bangarangjack
      @bangarangjack 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JackgarPrime yeah orlando is way better overall but just the fact that we don't have Waterworld, the studio tour, and pretty soon Nintendo world, annoys me soooo much cause they are amazing. Plus there's a lot of stuff at orlando that we could definitely do without, like fast and furious lol

    Fun list! I mostly agree with all of it, but my personal rankings would have Studio Tour at #1. I've been to the park a handful of times, but since there's usually 3-4 years between each visit, there's usually enough variation or changes added to the tour. Also, there's just a magic to it for me for some reason. Anyways. Good video!

    I went to Universal in Orlando. My favorite ride is definitely the Incredible Hulk. I do like Jurassic World and Revenge of the Mummy as they are pretty excited. The Simpsons Ride is pretty dope honestly. I love the Harry Potter ride where you movie around and switch from animatronic to screen and actually move around. It’s fun. I hate the spider there but I can manage the rest.

    I had the best experience at the one in orlando. My brother is autistic and he had a hard time with the long walks and long days being at a theme park although he loves them. So my parents got paperwork for the park to be approved for a wheel chair as well as disability access to rides and events. So for example we went on the mummy ride, there was a speacial access right next to the ride that took us straight to the end of the queue and to a speacial room for people with disabilities and those with children (like tiny toddlers or infants still nursing), all of which who might not be able to ride but family do or need a break from the line. So my stepmom would sit back with my bro while my dad and I went, and then I actually was allowed to wait fro my stepmom to switch out and go with me on the ride a second time. So a lot of rides I got to ride on a ton of times. I do want to also note this is something that my parents had to work with a travel agent and people at the park with doctors notes and paperwork about my bros autism. Possibly fees. But I was young at the time so I dont know every detail on what was needed from my parents. (Around 17-18)
    But on top of that they would leave around dinner time because my bro would be pretty tired, and there was also shuttles to our hotel. But I would just be by myself so I would ALSO go in the single rider lines. Which are SUPER fast. The downside is the queue isnt as fun as the normal ones with the theme-ing and scenes where characters talk.
    So yeah I highly reccommend if youve already gone on the ride at least once as a group and want to ride again, just use the single rider line!

    I really wish that Universal had been able to have the Marvel license over here as they do in Orlando. The Transformers ride aesthetic is so bland, I agree, but in Orlando, the exact same ride is actually Spider-Man themed and you get thrown around by the Sinister Six. The set leading in is the Daily Bugle office from the 90s cartoon, and it's just very fun!
