Dumb question... if the Hgb is inside of the RBC or is a component of the RBC, how do laboratory scientists isolate it? How is it measured separately from RBCs?

Great content, nice resume of the literature. Just that dubstep-ish intro kills the mood; is this a med-edu or a 1337skillz gameplay youtube channel? I dunno, imo having to skip 50 seconds every video due to the insane dB change is relatively annoying (I mostly just listen to the vids). Goodstuff tho
Sorry to hear that you don't like the intro. It took a lot of work to make it and I'm quite happy with how it came out. Unfortunately, it's not for everyone.

I don’t understand how acute haemorrhage is assisted with high RDW, why should they change in size? Usually blood loss has normal MCV. Thanks
