This was a great team win, and there was some redemption from last year's loss in the postseason. The self-inflicted mistake by Dan Campbell for sending his FG unit out while Goff was correctly trying to spike the ball cost them the runoff and changed everything. It put his offense in a position to have to score a TD instead of needing to get in the FG range to win in the 4th quarter. Thanks, Dan.

I am a Bucs fan. If you look at those stats, for the first time in a long time Detroit could not run the ball. When Montgomery just has 35 yards with 11 attempts you know the o-line was having problems as he was averaging just over 3 yards a carry. The coaching mistake at the end of the first half cost Detroit a sure 3 points. If they had those then all of those failed fourth downs in the fourth quarter would have been field goals and they would have won the game. Dan Campbell earns a lot of credit for Detroit's resurgence, but this game, he led to their loss. Not Jared Goff put in the unfortunate situation of having to make plays multiple times on fourth down. When you do that your luck runs out and it did this week. Detroit is a good team that will make the playoffs.

Goff's release is too slow and his ball placement (pause) is okay. Another issue (and I could be wrong) is that it seems like they're using the start of the season as the preseason. Their bread and butter is power runs off the edge and middle with Montgomery, and slants or shallow crosses with Laporta and St. Brown. Yet they keep trying to force the ball to Williams and Gibbs. The problem with that is Goffs ball doesn't have enough velocity to match Jamo's speed. So he always under or over throws him. And Gibbs doesn't have enough power to consistently get the 3 or 4 yards as consistently as Montgomery.

Completely disagree with this take. Lions needed to spread it out and go deep. Against this Bowles team, running the ball won't work. You cant apply what you did to the Rams to the Bucs. Doesn't make sense. Goff threw over 50 times. If anything the lions should've ran more when Vea got hurt. Gibbs finished with over 80 yds rushing. The fix was right there for them.

Yet they keep trying to force the ball to Williams and Gibbs. The problem with that is Goffs ball doesn't have enough velocity to match Jamo's speed. So he always under or over throws him. And Gibbs doesn't have enough power to consistently get the 3 or 4 yards as consistently as Montgomery.

Completely disagree with this take. Lions needed to spread it out and go deep. Against this Bowles team, running the ball won't work. You cant apply what you did to the Rams to the Bucs. Each team has different strengths, and the lions should have exposed the bucs secondary. Goff is to blame. Why do QB's always regress after signing a big contract?

Doesn't make sense. Goff threw over 50 times. If anything the lions should've ran more when Vea got hurt. Gibbs finished with over 80 yds rushing. The fix was right there for them.
@@BIGDOIT71even with Vea hurt, lions running game would have failed. Passes by Goff were pure trash. You need to go deep or the bucs secondary will continue to play tight. Both Goff and Ben Johnson were totally unprepared. Congrats to the bucs though. They deserved the win.
