When Rayleigh said "we were too early," he didn't mean they were too early to use One Piece to change the world. He meant they were too early to ride the Super Duper Knockup Stream to the moon.
Some type of moon alignment would make sense. I buy into the fact that Shyrohishi wasn't ready yet as well as perhaps the other ancient weapons being the main factor though.
And the tides have been acting weird, you see this in water 7 when they say that the aqua laguna was way worse than usual that year, like they where REALLY hammering that in
Oda is diverting everyone's attention from the fact that the one piece world is actually hollow. To Break through the shell, the strawhats will have to crash the moon into Merijoa the moment they align. This will destroy fishman island in the process and create The All Blue. With the help of the Grand Fleet, the Straw Hats will travel downward and defeat the Golden Armada of Dragons protecting Raftel. The last panel of the manga will be Luffy opening a treasure chest, The One Piece. The reader will then flip the page to discover that The One Piece is actually a hard copy of Half-Life 3 hidden inside the back cover. Roger was too early because Half-Life 3 was still in development. The reward goes to the reader.

I wholly agree that Laugh Tale is in the sky or even in the moon. That is because Norland was slyly portrayed by Oda to parallel Roger's dying moments. Both of them are presented in public to be executed. Both of them spoke of some outlandish fairy tale story that they claim to exist. But while Norland's words were heavily scrutinized to be false and people label him a liar and his future descendants for centuries to come, Roger's were believed to be true and those words alone then set millions of men to the sea in search of his treasure and ultimately set the Golden Pirate Age. So, what did the Strawhat gain from the tale that they've got from Norland's story? It made them excited to go to Skypiea, something that everyone thought to be a myth exactly because no one can prove that it exists just as the same that no one could prove that it doesnt exist. But Luffy was still adamant on getting information on going there anyways because it excites his adventurous nature to the core. Now flash forward in Sabaody, Usopp asked Rayleigh about the truth of One Piece but was prematurely cut by an angry Luffy stating that if he knows that One Piece is real before even going there, then he'd stop being a Pirate King as he claims that knowing already about the ultimate destination makes the adventure boring and he'd rather die than undertake a boring adventure. The second argument for this "Laugh Tale is in the Sky" thing is that why for the thousands of pirates that sailed the Grand Line in search for that ultimate treasure, no one can confirm nor deny the existence of Laugh Tale? Well, that is because all pirates are relying on log poses to set the next destination for them. But why is it that it cannot detect Laugh Tale? Well, log poses only works if the island contains minerals to be reacted with the electromagnetic forces that are then detected by the log pose. Exactly the reason why people thought Sky Islands were myths is because it cannot be detected by the log pose. The only reason why the Strawhat's log pose was able to pick up on it is because it picked up the lost Jaya island since it has earthly minerals and not because of Skypiea itself. So Laugh Tale being a Sky Island or even located in the moon is perfectly plausible as no one has ever confirmed nor deny its existence except for the Roger Pirates and WB who's been spoiled by Roger (lol). Thirdly, it would be much interesting to have the Strawhats solve puzzle pieces after they finally locate the X marks the Spot pattern after the 4 Lode Poneglyphs. So this would also be related as to how they went on to solve puzzles in order to go and find the Golden City of Shandia in Skypiea. Another starking similarity with this is that Blackbeard chased the Strawhats to prevent them from reaching Skypiea and I'd like to believe that this was a foreshadowing for when the Blackbeard Pirates will be the final threat for Strawhats going to Laugh Tale, for them to go in the sky to seek for Laugh Tale and One Piece as what they did in order to go to Skypiea and seek the lost island of Jaya that holds the ultimate treasure, Golden Bell. Finally, achieving such a daring stunt such as this would ultimately make Thousand Sunny the dream ship that Franky envisioned for her as like how Merry conquered the odds and let the Strawhats experience an adventure of a lifetime in a fantasy setting of Skypiea and made them survive to tell that dream-like tale. That dangerous trip to and fro Skypiea was such an incredible feat that Merry's spirit manifested just for her to push herself to the limit for her beloved sailors. As expected, that was the final nail in the coffin and Merry was deemed on her final days after making that ultimate feat. With Sunny's durability and inherited will from Merry and Franky's incredible shipwright skills. It will finall conquer the ultimate ocean and live to tell the tale.
Holy shit this seems so plausible because of what we know about how Oda writes. You found a bunch of parallels and closures with Noland and Roger, log poses, the death of Merry and the birth of Sunny, and a bunch of shit I would've never thought about.
the final nail in the coffin for me why this is most likely when i read the theory years ago was that thousand sunny must fly and go to the sky same with merry since if franky really want to travel the seas and places he missing out the skies is a crime. and ofc the number of moons was introduced in ohara it ties directly that the true history must be on the moons it could be the one enel saw but it the reason it still exists is because the moon is the perfect fucking place to hide away from the world. and ofc there's a reason franky needs to learn vegapunk tech not just to make weapons for war but to fucking fly to the moon

It would actually make sense. We know that Roger was laughing his ass off when he first stepped on Laugh Tale. Maybe he was laughing because the very idea of him traveling to the moon as his final location was just too ridiculous. Like seriously why else would he laugh? What made him laugh? It must've been something absurdly stupid and that idea just fits perfectly into this category!

@@bockskarr6626 well I won't go through everything now but if you re-watch Skypie you will see that there is A LOT and I mean A LOT of foreshadowing and clues as to what will happen in the future of the story. I wouldn't be surprised if we find out what the One Piece is, go back to Skypia and see that it was hinted in this arc the whole time. It has to be one of the longest arcs for a reason right?
Another thing that makes so much sense is that it doesnt have to be a location in the middle of nowhere. Often times in the series the characters who saw one piece talk about it as something you can spoil. Roger didnt tell whitebeard "if you want i can tell you the coordenates/the route/the location" but rather "i can tell you where it is". It should be a place that can be conveyed easily and the polyglyphs are just intentionally making it harder. It needs to be a place that when you hear about it you already know everything, not a "well, turn right here, turn left here".

Also, several people have pointed out that 3 Road Poneglyphs would be enough to triangulate Laugh Tale, which is why the fourth Road Poneglyph might actually indicate height.

@linlinö önilnil I wasn't talking about moon at all. In the story we aren't talking x-axis y-axis z-axis(3d) coordinates hence three points aren't enough. So far they are finding points on a plane, hence four points are needed to get an intersection points ( polygon).
@@Cipher_Paul I felt like that at first, but you can’t triangulate Laughtale. Triangulation works because you know the distance of the target from each point. That’s unknown for Laughtale, you have to use the centroid of the four locations, which requires knowing all locations.

I think going to space or the moon is actually Luffy's dream, that one we were never told. Some people say it's a party, it's possible but I am not a fan of this theory. To me nothing encapsules Luffy's deep longing for adventure more than going to space, which is going beyond the common dreams. It would explain why Oda never out right say it, it would spoil the location. It would also explain Yamato's reaction when she heard of it from Ace, being locked in that island nothing excites her more than freedom, to travel, which is why she respects Oden, who also longed for adventure all his of life, which would also explain why Oden followed Roger, since it was the exact same dream as well. To me nothing would have more of that one piece adventure, romance aspect than this. So his dream being tied to Raftel is a pretty natural connection.

I love the moon dream theory as well but i think the reason why oda is hiding it is because there's no build up about it yet why and how did luffy suddenly want to go the moon. it is in his nature yeah true. Its not that you need a lot of force to get to the moon, you just need speed. Sure huge amounts of thrust is a way to get that, but we've got balloons that get to the edge of space
@@goudawgs ...what? You do infact need a large amount of force to leave the atmosphere. Also balloons do reach the edge of our atmosphere, but they can't actually leave because they only rise until their surroundings are as dense as they are.
@@goudawgs The atmosphere and spatial alignment in One Piece isn't really comparable to Earth anyway. Speed=force btw, you just need enough energy, whether that is by adding force to maintain speed, or to have a really large initial speed. Balloons are of course a bit different, they go up because the air around them pushes it.

Welcome aboard. The fact that Act 3 of Wano has yet to end is the single biggest factor. Whether or not Oda decides to change it up by Act 4 or 5 is fine, but it doesn't make sense to suddenly change up the structure in the middle act.
I don't know what kind of relationship the moon will have with Laugh Tale or the One Piece; but something has been on my mind for a while now and watching this video and an Ohara manga panel where Dr. Clover is with the OP World Globe made me speculate and form this idea. In a nutshell, there are 4 Rio Poneglyphs that the SH have to find in order to reach Laugh Tale, and the manga panel shows 4 moons in the OP world. So it made me think, what if LT was moving because it's always at the center of those 4 moons and since the moons orbit around the world it keeps disappearing or moving constantly in the New World? Just a thought.

Actually not because that's been a popular theory for a while. The raid failing is something Morj came up with, I don't anyone did before him. Both are going to happen I believe.
Maybe the reason why the Rogers pirate just laughed because they can't go to the moon with their ship and called it laugh tale. But as we already know Sunny has the capability to fly and Franky can prolly just turn it to rocket ship to get to the moon lol.
Glad that Morj is actually supporting this theory. There is more to be added to this: In Luffy's childhood flashback there is a panel of him declaring: "I'm gonna..." The rest of his sentence is cut and followed by a scene of Sabo and Ace laughing at him. A similar scene can be seen in the Oden flashback where Roger declares: "And then I'll be..." followed by Whitebeard laughing at him while Oden stares in shock. When Luffy meets Rayleigh, there is a flashback panel of Shanks telling Rayleigh that Luffy said the same thing as Roger. This is again confirmed in Chapter 1000 when Ace tells Yamato about Luffy's dream and Yamato says that she would never laugh about it because the pirate king said the same thing. So there is a ridiculous claim made by both Roger and Luffy that they were both laughed at for. This hidden line can't possibly be "I want to be king of the pirates" because then there would be no need for Oda to cut the line. Also the terms pirate king and One Piece weren't even a thing during the time of the Oden flashback. It could very well be that this hidden ridiculous claim was "I will go to the moon". You can make a point that Roger named the island as Laugh Tale because the supposed location of the world secrets and treasure was not this island but the moon and also him claiming he was too early can possibly indicate that a climate event happen every century or so, like the knockup stream, and why people like Toki and Shyarly can pin point the time of this event with certain precision
That doesn't make sense. If the world's secrets and treasure were on the moon, then how did Roger get there, if he "was too early"? Rayleigh as confirmed that Roger and the crew knew the secrets and true history.
This makes sense. Imagine that Joy Boy reached the moon on some point, or something very important was hidden away there cause the climate made moon traveling possible during the void century. Maybe something was "taken away" from the Earth by Imu, and it's kept safe in the moon. Like Uranus for example. Then Joy Boy hid the information and the "key" for moon traveling on Laught Tale, but it could only be used during a special time. Roger reaches Laught Tale and reads about Joy Boys adventures on the moon, but he can't use the key yet because "he was too early". The story is crazy enough everybody starts laughing, but they lament the fact the are not able to travel there and fullfil the "Ultimate Adventure", so Roger prepares all he can to ensure somebody could do it.
@@danielrazo450 Except we know Roger's "was too early" is somehow related to Poseidon only being born 9-10 years past Roger's life limit from the disease. So unless you're saying Poseidon has something to do with traveling to the moon, Roger being too early to do anything had nothing to do with going there. I mean, assuming Laugh Tale is on the moon, then Roger actually went there, and his "too early" thing is referring to not having enough time to accomplish whatever the One Piece is meant to do?

We ought to keep in mind that there is more than one canonical moon if the model shown to us in the library is to be believed. However, if the Straw Hats go into space I'd really love for us to see Enel again.

What if the fastest way to travel the one piece world is by the moon. Instead of crossing the red line/calm belt you go to the moon, and wait for the earth to rotate to the place you wanna go. It’s kinda wild but who knows
More information: Okay, this is an out there idea, but it may strengthen your speculation further. What if the four red poneglyphs don't just show a location but also give a password (pirates, passwords?)? Perhaps some sort of ancient chant? That could explain why even if somebody visited the location accidently they would never be able to enter it. Perhaps this password could awaken a portal or a grand knock-up stream that takes them straight to the moon. Okay, now the bit you may have missed is that since Blackbeard is likely one of the final antagonists, what if Oda setup Blackbeard missing the Straw Hats on their first voyage into the knock-up stream only for him to pay it off by Blackbeard somehow catching up to them and entering the knock-up stream to the moon? It'd be an amazing parallel.
several good points, though I have some counter arguments: There are places we've been told about but they never sailed to. The Emerald city and some of the Islands the Sea Train can reach. As for why nobody has stumbled upon Raftel there is the possibility that it is on the red line, a location that is almost as mysterious and unexplored as the moon.
He said fantastical. Whats fantastical about the islands the sea trains go to. And no the red line is definitely not as mysterious or unexplored as the moon. The world government built a whole castle on it, dont think you can do that without exploring it. Nothing like that on the moon.

You can go there by holding on to balloons and it seems to be pretty boring judging by Enels Cover story . Doesn't feel as amazing as the way to skypeia or fmi. But I could be completely wrong on that. As for the Red Line. They built their castle right at the intersection to the Grand Line. That doesn't mean they explored the rest of it.

Continuing this theory video *puts on tin foil hat*, remember that drawing of Blackbeard when he was a kid? There was a moon in it. Now, it's consensus among the fanbase that Blackbeard will be the final villain, or at least the final pirate villain, for Luffy. To me it just makes sense if Luffy and Blackbeard also have their final fight in the final island, which according to this video is the moon. Pushing this even further, Morj also had a video where he mentioned that Luffy's rubber fruit is the perfect counter to Blackbeard's earthquake fruit. If they do fight in the moon, aside from the title of Pirate King, what would be the stakes, the danger that Luffy and the Strawhats have to stop? Hear me out, imagine if Blackbeard starts going crazy and threatens to destroy the whole moon, sending chunks of it down below to the planet, that would be a possible extinction-level event wouldn't it? Unless of course, if Luffy awakens his devil fruit there and counters that threat by - now this sounds crazy - turning parts of the moon into rubber, just enough to prevent it from breaking apart. We currently have Onigashima floating in the sky about to drop on a city, if Oda wants to go crazy and increase the stakes for the final island, this is one way I see it. For Years and Years, my Theory is always Raftel is actually the Rivers Mountain. (Rivāsu Maunten, engl. "Reverse" Mountain (wrong translation from リヴァース・マウンテン) but could be a nice Joke, see #3 below) And here's why it could be the Rivers Mountain: 1.) You need 4 Road Poneglyphs to figure out where their lines cross to locate "Raftel", Much like all 4 Blues line up and cross on Rivers Mountain. (So it could be (theoretically) possible that each RP leads to a Point in one of the 4 Blues and they obviously cross at Rivers Mountain) 2.) The Journey starts on Rivers Mountain and ends on Lodestar Island, although it should technically end at the Rivers Mountain again for a full circle. 3.) Lodestar-Island, where no Lock Pose works is "the last" Island which is spelled: Rōdosutā-tō Why is the spelling important? Well, just like with "Rafuteru", if you spell it (phonetically) it could have different Translations. "Rafuteru" was either "Raftel" or "Laugh Tale". And "Rōdosutā-tō" could translate to "Lodestar Island", "Roadstar Island" or my Favourite: "Road Start". So tell me Guys, if the "Last" Island you visit on your "Grand-Line-Road-Trip" is called "Road Start", which Island is the "true" last? (It should be the "first") From Rivers Mountain you spread out onto several different paths to go traveling the Grandline and all those paths line up and come together again on "Lodestar Island"... Coincidence? 4.) Number 3 is a Reason why Roger could have named the "true last" Island Laugh Tale, because it's so funny, that they've basically startet on their Goal and finished at the "Start". 5.) This would also explain why Crocus is guarding Rivers Mountain... (6.) The Rivers Mountain could also be the All Blue because all "six Blues" meet there. "East Blue, North Blue, West Blue, South Blue, 1st Grandline, 2nd Grandline (New World)" as well as 4 Calmbelts and 2 Redlines xDD)
I completely agree with you, and in fact i can add some things that i'm surprised you didn't talked about here : the Raftel arc or whatever it's called will probably be VERY similar to Skypiea, it's a giant foreshadowing. Because outside of what you said, Skypiea is an arc about the unfulfilled promise between Norland and Calgara, and we know that there is another unfulfilled promise, between Joy Boy and Shirahoshi, that is going on in the very big picture, and it's on Skypiea that the location of the antic weapon Poseidon (Shirahohsi) was revealed. Even more, i think Raftel is the island of God Valley, because, as you mentionned previously, the name of this island sound very much like "where the gods fall", and Raftel is supposed to be the arc when the D. finally defeat the Celestial Dragons, which again is foreshadowed in Skypiea with the whole "Luffy is the natural enemy of god" thing because he was rubber while Enel was lightning. The island of God Valley is said to have suddenly disappeared without trace, that sound very similar to how a part of Jaya suddenly disappeared because of the Knock Up Stream. Basically, I believe the 4 road poneglyphs cross at a point where something like the Knock-Up Stream but much much stronger will take the Strawhats to the moon, where the celestial Dragons will be defeated at God valley by the D., and where the promise between Joy Boy and Shirahoshi will be finally fulfilled, while we learn everything about the void Century. I know it's bit confused and i don't have all the elements but i hope you get my point.
Adding to this theory is that the Celestial Dragons are based on the King and Queen of the moon from The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Robin Williams who plays the king "Ray D. Tutto" even has the D initial. The movie clearly inspired Oda a lot since you can see many similarities. Van Augur is based on Adolphus, Munchausen lied to the point nobody believed him (Usopp) and rode cannonballs. The film was also made by Terry Gilliam who is known for imaginative fantasy and even made a Donquixote film.
Maybe at Raftel is a hint for finding the treasure at the moon, and the reason why Roger laughed when he saw it by himself was that he knew there wasn't a viable way to reach the moon yet, and then stated "we arrived too early".
I feel like where ever laughtale is, its going to be in a rather dangerous location. Buggy was fearful of the island, and didnt want to go. But, why? What was scary about laughtale that made buggy okay with missing out? Which, I suppose could be the moon. I could imagine buggy being afraid to go to the moon. But, unless there are islands on the moon, I kind of doubt it. I guess there could be... didnt enel meet some folks up there in a cover story?
Now that you mention it, Shanks and Buggy were left behind when going to Raftel. Is there a more deeper meaning in leaving them behind? Wouldn't be surprised lol
What I love about Morj’s channel is that, at least compared to other theory channels, at least in other fandoms, is that he isn’t just trying to connect random details or minute pieces of information in a weird corkboard to try and find hidden meaning. He’s actually using and bringing up how the narrative usually progresses, the fun quirks of the author’s writing, and more importantly is considering what actually makes sense for a story with these themes. Granted, I’m still an outsider to One Piece theorising, and to the fandom as a whole, so maybe ya’ll are just good at this.
The thing is the “moon” location was mentioned mostly in cover stories, differently from the exemples u showed. Even though it is cannon material, until it doesnt get a proper mention, i believe great part of the fandom will think it feels like it is kinda out of pocket
No they won't, what are you talking about? Most, if not all, manga readers know about this. And so do all Anime only watchers, because Enel leaving to the moon was given great emphasis. Sure, anime only watchers don't have the same level of context about the moon as manga readers, but they still know it's a "possible" location.
All morjs exemples were proper dialogues between the strawhats including luffy, about these specific locations “skypea” “fishmen island” etc. all of them ends with luffy in his role as a captain sugesting they would go there. The moon mention is indirect as shown in the manga in the panel enel is going straight to it, it is so indirect that oda had to confirm it with the cover-story, as to detail it more. It is a crazy part of the world building that all of the fandom knows about, but there is nothing even close to a consensus about the strawhats going tothe moon or not. It could only be an important piece of the history of the world in one piece, regarding to the races and all that. Not as a destination per se

What if the one piece is called that because the view from the moon is the whole world, and you can see it all at once. The whole world viewable in one piece.
I think I may be up to something here, so hear me out: Think about how pirate treasures are represented in a map. Two big red lines forming an x. All the strawhats would have to do is go to the moon and look back to realize that the red line overlapping the grand line forms an x in the middle. That would be reverse mountain, or where Laugh Tale supposedly is- at the end of the Grand Line. It’s called ONE PIECE because for the world to be back in ONE PIECE (maybe it wasn’t in the void century) the red line would have to be destroyed. With this, the ALL BLUE would also be possible.
I think there is an island under the spot where the moon is supposed to be... and the moon has to be aligned at the right time. That's why roger was too early because the moons weren't aligned above that island.

There wasn’t a background when they arrived at laugh tale. “There was plant life and water” if there was once life in the moons then it won’t be impossible for there to exist nature. Also it was confirmed there is multiple moons not just 1 so chances are they are all different.
This makes a lot of sense. Going to the sky island was an opportunity given by the periodic event of the upward stream combined with with the appearance of the "Dense cloud". It's possible that going to the moon is also an event that requires some sort of transport event (upward stream, super geyser, whatever), that would have to coalesce with the moon being at the right place at the right time. This would explain why Gol D. Roger said they were too early.

To Break through the shell, the strawhats will have to crash the moon into Merijoa the moment they align. This will destroy fishman island in the process and create The All Blue. With the help of the Grand Fleet, the Straw Hats will travel downward and defeat the Golden Armada of Dragons protecting Raftel. The last panel of the manga will be Luffy opening a treasure chest, The One Piece. The reader will then flip the page to discover that The One Piece is actually a hard copy of Half-Life 3 hidden inside the back cover. Roger was too early because Half-Life 3 was still in development. The reward goes to the reader.

I wholly agree that Laugh Tale is in the sky or even in the moon.
That is because Norland was slyly portrayed by Oda to parallel Roger's dying moments. Both of them are presented in public to be executed. Both of them spoke of some outlandish fairy tale story that they claim to exist. But while Norland's words were heavily scrutinized to be false and people label him a liar and his future descendants for centuries to come, Roger's were believed to be true and those words alone then set millions of men to the sea in search of his treasure and ultimately set the Golden Pirate Age. So, what did the Strawhat gain from the tale that they've got from Norland's story? It made them excited to go to Skypiea, something that everyone thought to be a myth exactly because no one can prove that it exists just as the same that no one could prove that it doesnt exist. But Luffy was still adamant on getting information on going there anyways because it excites his adventurous nature to the core. Now flash forward in Sabaody, Usopp asked Rayleigh about the truth of One Piece but was prematurely cut by an angry Luffy stating that if he knows that One Piece is real before even going there, then he'd stop being a Pirate King as he claims that knowing already about the ultimate destination makes the adventure boring and he'd rather die than undertake a boring adventure.
The second argument for this "Laugh Tale is in the Sky" thing is that why for the thousands of pirates that sailed the Grand Line in search for that ultimate treasure, no one can confirm nor deny the existence of Laugh Tale? Well, that is because all pirates are relying on log poses to set the next destination for them. But why is it that it cannot detect Laugh Tale? Well, log poses only works if the island contains minerals to be reacted with the electromagnetic forces that are then detected by the log pose. Exactly the reason why people thought Sky Islands were myths is because it cannot be detected by the log pose. The only reason why the Strawhat's log pose was able to pick up on it is because it picked up the lost Jaya island since it has earthly minerals and not because of Skypiea itself. So Laugh Tale being a Sky Island or even located in the moon is perfectly plausible as no one has ever confirmed nor deny its existence except for the Roger Pirates and WB who's been spoiled by Roger (lol).
Thirdly, it would be much interesting to have the Strawhats solve puzzle pieces after they finally locate the X marks the Spot pattern after the 4 Lode Poneglyphs. So this would also be related as to how they went on to solve puzzles in order to go and find the Golden City of Shandia in Skypiea. Another starking similarity with this is that Blackbeard chased the Strawhats to prevent them from reaching Skypiea and I'd like to believe that this was a foreshadowing for when the Blackbeard Pirates will be the final threat for Strawhats going to Laugh Tale, for them to go in the sky to seek for Laugh Tale and One Piece as what they did in order to go to Skypiea and seek the lost island of Jaya that holds the ultimate treasure, Golden Bell.
Finally, achieving such a daring stunt such as this would ultimately make Thousand Sunny the dream ship that Franky envisioned for her as like how Merry conquered the odds and let the Strawhats experience an adventure of a lifetime in a fantasy setting of Skypiea and made them survive to tell that dream-like tale. That dangerous trip to and fro Skypiea was such an incredible feat that Merry's spirit manifested just for her to push herself to the limit for her beloved sailors. As expected, that was the final nail in the coffin and Merry was deemed on her final days after making that ultimate feat. With Sunny's durability and inherited will from Merry and Franky's incredible shipwright skills. It will finall conquer the ultimate ocean and live to tell the tale.
Holy shit this seems so plausible because of what we know about how Oda writes. You found a bunch of parallels and closures with Noland and Roger, log poses, the death of Merry and the birth of Sunny, and a bunch of shit I would've never thought about.
the final nail in the coffin for me why this is most likely when i read the theory years ago was that thousand sunny must fly and go to the sky same with merry since if franky really want to travel the seas and places he missing out the skies is a crime. and ofc the number of moons was introduced in ohara it ties directly that the true history must be on the moons it could be the one enel saw but it the reason it still exists is because the moon is the perfect fucking place to hide away from the world. and ofc there's a reason franky needs to learn vegapunk tech not just to make weapons for war but to fucking fly to the moon

Another thing that makes so much sense is that it doesnt have to be a location in the middle of nowhere. Often times in the series the characters who saw one piece talk about it as something you can spoil. Roger didnt tell whitebeard "if you want i can tell you the coordenates/the route/the location" but rather "i can tell you where it is". It should be a place that can be conveyed easily and the polyglyphs are just intentionally making it harder. It needs to be a place that when you hear about it you already know everything, not a "well, turn right here, turn left here".

Also, several people have pointed out that 3 Road Poneglyphs would be enough to triangulate Laugh Tale, which is why the fourth Road Poneglyph might actually indicate height.

I think going to space or the moon is actually Luffy's dream, that one we were never told. Some people say it's a party, it's possible but I am not a fan of this theory. To me nothing encapsules Luffy's deep longing for adventure more than going to space, which is going beyond the common dreams. It would explain why Oda never out right say it, it would spoil the location. It would also explain Yamato's reaction when she heard of it from Ace, being locked in that island nothing excites her more than freedom, to travel, which is why she respects Oden, who also longed for adventure all his of life, which would also explain why Oden followed Roger, since it was the exact same dream as well.
To me nothing would have more of that one piece adventure, romance aspect than this. So his dream being tied to Raftel is a pretty natural connection.

Several characters have gone to the moon with barely any upwards force, being the Arc Maxim and literal balloons.
Its not that you need a lot of force to get to the moon, you just need speed. Sure huge amounts of thrust is a way to get that, but we've got balloons that get to the edge of space

Welcome aboard. The fact that Act 3 of Wano has yet to end is the single biggest factor. Whether or not Oda decides to change it up by Act 4 or 5 is fine, but it doesn't make sense to suddenly change up the structure in the middle act.

I don't know what kind of relationship the moon will have with Laugh Tale or the One Piece; but something has been on my mind for a while now and watching this video and an Ohara manga panel where Dr. Clover is with the OP World Globe made me speculate and form this idea. In a nutshell, there are 4 Rio Poneglyphs that the SH have to find in order to reach Laugh Tale, and the manga panel shows 4 moons in the OP world. So it made me think, what if LT was moving because it's always at the center of those 4 moons and since the moons orbit around the world it keeps disappearing or moving constantly in the New World? Just a thought.

There is more to be added to this:
In Luffy's childhood flashback there is a panel of him declaring: "I'm gonna..."
The rest of his sentence is cut and followed by a scene of Sabo and Ace laughing at him.
A similar scene can be seen in the Oden flashback where Roger declares: "And then I'll be..." followed by Whitebeard laughing at him while Oden stares in shock.
When Luffy meets Rayleigh, there is a flashback panel of Shanks telling Rayleigh that Luffy said the same thing as Roger. This is again confirmed in Chapter 1000 when Ace tells Yamato about Luffy's dream and Yamato says that she would never laugh about it because the pirate king said the same thing.
So there is a ridiculous claim made by both Roger and Luffy that they were both laughed at for. This hidden line can't possibly be "I want to be king of the pirates" because then there would be no need for Oda to cut the line. Also the terms pirate king and One Piece weren't even a thing during the time of the Oden flashback. It could very well be that this hidden ridiculous claim was "I will go to the moon".

You can make a point that Roger named the island as Laugh Tale because the supposed location of the world secrets and treasure was not this island but the moon and also him claiming he was too early can possibly indicate that a climate event happen every century or so, like the knockup stream, and why people like Toki and Shyarly can pin point the time of this event with certain precision
That doesn't make sense. If the world's secrets and treasure were on the moon, then how did Roger get there, if he "was too early"?

Imagine that Joy Boy reached the moon on some point, or something very important was hidden away there cause the climate made moon traveling possible during the void century.
Maybe something was "taken away" from the Earth by Imu, and it's kept safe in the moon. Like Uranus for example.
Then Joy Boy hid the information and the "key" for moon traveling on Laught Tale, but it could only be used during a special time.
Roger reaches Laught Tale and reads about Joy Boys adventures on the moon, but he can't use the key yet because "he was too early".
The story is crazy enough everybody starts laughing, but they lament the fact the are not able to travel there and fullfil the "Ultimate Adventure", so Roger prepares all he can to ensure somebody could do it.

So unless you're saying Poseidon has something to do with traveling to the moon, Roger being too early to do anything had nothing to do with going there.
Admittedly, I could be wrong, not trying to sound like a jackass. But there's a lot that doesn't add up with that.
I mean, assuming Laugh Tale is on the moon, then Roger actually went there, and his "too early" thing is referring to not having enough time to accomplish whatever the One Piece is meant to do?

What if the fastest way to travel the one piece world is by the moon. Instead of crossing the red line/calm belt you go to the moon, and wait for the earth to rotate to the place you wanna go. It’s kinda wild but who knows
More information: Okay, this is an out there idea, but it may strengthen your speculation further. What if the four red poneglyphs don't just show a location but also give a password (pirates, passwords?)? Perhaps some sort of ancient chant? That could explain why even if somebody visited the location accidently they would never be able to enter it. Perhaps this password could awaken a portal or a grand knock-up stream that takes them straight to the moon. Okay, now the bit you may have missed is that since Blackbeard is likely one of the final antagonists, what if Oda setup Blackbeard missing the Straw Hats on their first voyage into the knock-up stream only for him to pay it off by Blackbeard somehow catching up to them and entering the knock-up stream to the moon?

several good points, though I have some counter arguments: There are places we've been told about but they never sailed to. The Emerald city and some of the Islands the Sea Train can reach.
As for why nobody has stumbled upon Raftel there is the possibility that it is on the red line, a location that is almost as mysterious and unexplored as the moon.
He said fantastical. Whats fantastical about the islands the sea trains go to. And no the red line is definitely not as mysterious or unexplored as the moon. The world government built a whole castle on it, dont think you can do that without exploring it. Nothing like that on the moon.

You can go there by holding on to balloons and it seems to be pretty boring judging by Enels Cover story . Doesn't feel as amazing as the way to skypeia or fmi. But I could be completely wrong on that.
As for the Red Line. They built their castle right at the intersection to the Grand Line. That doesn't mean they explored the rest of it.

Continuing this theory video *puts on tin foil hat*, remember that drawing of Blackbeard when he was a kid? There was a moon in it. Now, it's consensus among the fanbase that Blackbeard will be the final villain, or at least the final pirate villain, for Luffy. To me it just makes sense if Luffy and Blackbeard also have their final fight in the final island, which according to this video is the moon. Pushing this even further, Morj also had a video where he mentioned that Luffy's rubber fruit is the perfect counter to Blackbeard's earthquake fruit. If they do fight in the moon, aside from the title of Pirate King, what would be the stakes, the danger that Luffy and the Strawhats have to stop? Hear me out, imagine if Blackbeard starts going crazy and threatens to destroy the whole moon, sending chunks of it down below to the planet, that would be a possible extinction-level event wouldn't it? Unless of course, if Luffy awakens his devil fruit there and counters that threat by - now this sounds crazy - turning parts of the moon into rubber, just enough to prevent it from breaking apart. We currently have Onigashima floating in the sky about to drop on a city, if Oda wants to go crazy and increase the stakes for the final island, this is one way I see it. For Years and Years, my Theory is always Raftel is actually the Rivers Mountain. (Rivāsu Maunten, engl. "Reverse" Mountain (wrong translation from リヴァース・マウンテン) but could be a nice Joke, see #3 below)
And here's why it could be the Rivers Mountain:
1.) You need 4 Road Poneglyphs to figure out where their lines cross to locate "Raftel", Much like all 4 Blues line up and cross on Rivers Mountain.
(So it could be (theoretically) possible that each RP leads to a Point in one of the 4 Blues and they obviously cross at Rivers Mountain)
2.) The Journey starts on Rivers Mountain and ends on Lodestar Island, although it should technically end at the Rivers Mountain again for a full circle.
3.) Lodestar-Island, where no Lock Pose works is "the last" Island which is spelled: Rōdosutā-tō
Why is the spelling important? Well, just like with "Rafuteru", if you spell it (phonetically) it could have different Translations.
"Rafuteru" was either "Raftel" or "Laugh Tale". And "Rōdosutā-tō" could translate to "Lodestar Island", "Roadstar Island" or my Favourite: "Road Start".
So tell me Guys, if the "Last" Island you visit on your "Grand-Line-Road-Trip" is called "Road Start", which Island is the "true" last? (It should be the "first") From Rivers Mountain you spread out onto several different paths to go traveling the Grandline and all those paths line up and come together again on "Lodestar Island"... Coincidence?
4.) Number 3 is a Reason why Roger could have named the "true last" Island Laugh Tale, because it's so funny, that they've basically startet on their Goal and finished at the "Start".
5.) This would also explain why Crocus is guarding Rivers Mountain...
(6.) The Rivers Mountain could also be the All Blue because all "six Blues" meet there. "East Blue, North Blue, West Blue, South Blue, 1st Grandline, 2nd Grandline (New World)" as well as 4 Calmbelts and 2 Redlines xDD)

I completely agree with you, and in fact i can add some things that i'm surprised you didn't talked about here :
the Raftel arc or whatever it's called will probably be VERY similar to Skypiea, it's a giant foreshadowing.
Because outside of what you said, Skypiea is an arc about the unfulfilled promise between Norland and Calgara, and we know that there is another unfulfilled promise, between Joy Boy and Shirahoshi, that is going on in the very big picture, and it's on Skypiea that the location of the antic weapon Poseidon (Shirahohsi) was revealed.
Even more, i think Raftel is the island of God Valley, because, as you mentionned previously, the name of this island sound very much like "where the gods fall", and Raftel is supposed to be the arc when the D. finally defeat the Celestial Dragons, which again is foreshadowed in Skypiea with the whole "Luffy is the natural enemy of god" thing because he was rubber while Enel was lightning. The island of God Valley is said to have suddenly disappeared without trace, that sound very similar to how a part of Jaya suddenly disappeared because of the Knock Up Stream.
Basically, I believe the 4 road poneglyphs cross at a point where something like the Knock-Up Stream but much much stronger will take the Strawhats to the moon, where the celestial Dragons will be defeated at God valley by the D., and where the promise between Joy Boy and Shirahoshi will be finally fulfilled, while we learn everything about the void Century.
I know it's bit confused and i don't have all the elements but i hope you get my point.

Adding to this theory is that the Celestial Dragons are based on the King and Queen of the moon from The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Robin Williams who plays the king "Ray D. Tutto" even has the D initial.
The movie clearly inspired Oda a lot since you can see many similarities. Van Augur is based on Adolphus, Munchausen lied to the point nobody believed him (Usopp) and rode cannonballs.
The film was also made by Terry Gilliam who is known for imaginative fantasy and even made a Donquixote film.
Maybe at Raftel is a hint for finding the treasure at the moon, and the reason why Roger laughed when he saw it by himself was that he knew there wasn't a viable way to reach the moon yet, and then stated "we arrived too early".

I feel like where ever laughtale is, its going to be in a rather dangerous location. Buggy was fearful of the island, and didnt want to go. But, why? What was scary about laughtale that made buggy okay with missing out? Which, I suppose could be the moon. I could imagine buggy being afraid to go to the moon. But, unless there are islands on the moon, I kind of doubt it. I guess there could be... didnt enel meet some folks up there in a cover story?
Now that you mention it, Shanks and Buggy were left behind when going to Raftel. Is there a more deeper meaning in leaving them behind? Wouldn't be surprised lol

What I love about Morj’s channel is that, at least compared to other theory channels, at least in other fandoms, is that he isn’t just trying to connect random details or minute pieces of information in a weird corkboard to try and find hidden meaning. He’s actually using and bringing up how the narrative usually progresses, the fun quirks of the author’s writing, and more importantly is considering what actually makes sense for a story with these themes. Granted, I’m still an outsider to One Piece theorising, and to the fandom as a whole, so maybe ya’ll are just good at this.

The vast majority of fans, both manga and anime, *know* Enel went to the moon.
So how is it not "properly mentioned"?
All morjs exemples were proper dialogues between the strawhats including luffy, about these specific locations “skypea” “fishmen island” etc. all of them ends with luffy in his role as a captain sugesting they would go there.
The moon mention is indirect as shown in the manga in the panel enel is going straight to it, it is so indirect that oda had to confirm it with the cover-story, as to detail it more.
It is a crazy part of the world building that all of the fandom knows about, but there is nothing even close to a consensus about the strawhats going tothe moon or not. It could only be an important piece of the history of the world in one piece, regarding to the races and all that. Not as a destination per se

What if the one piece is called that because the view from the moon is the whole world, and you can see it all at once. The whole world viewable in one piece.
I think I may be up to something here, so hear me out:
Think about how pirate treasures are represented in a map. Two big red lines forming an x. All the strawhats would have to do is go to the moon and look back to realize that the red line overlapping the grand line forms an x in the middle. That would be reverse mountain, or where Laugh Tale supposedly is- at the end of the Grand Line. It’s called ONE PIECE because for the world to be back in ONE PIECE (maybe it wasn’t in the void century) the red line would have to be destroyed. With this, the ALL BLUE would also be possible.

How did it look like an island? Their was no background art at all. heck you barely saw the ground.
I think there is an island under the spot where the moon is supposed to be... and the moon has to be aligned at the right time. That's why roger was too early because the moons weren't aligned above that island.

There wasn’t a background when they arrived at laugh tale. “There was plant life and water” if there was once life in the moons then it won’t be impossible for there to exist nature. Also it was confirmed there is multiple moons not just 1 so chances are they are all different.

This makes a lot of sense. Going to the sky island was an opportunity given by the periodic event of the upward stream combined with with the appearance of the "Dense cloud". It's possible that going to the moon is also an event that requires some sort of transport event (upward stream, super geyser, whatever), that would have to coalesce with the moon being at the right place at the right time. This would explain why Gol D. Roger said they were too early.
