My esc will start in 3 weeks and now I'm watching everything about esc 😅 unfortunately there aren't a lot of videos so thank you very much for your video 😍
It was great, I am really glad that I did it, but I would recommend to choose your hosting organization very carefully, because I've also met quite a few volunteers who struggled a lot because they had a bad organisation. But all in all, I would really recommend to do an ESC :)
Hi Lisa! maybe my comment will be out of date, but I am thinking about doing a volunteer stay in the following months and I am wondering what would happen if for some reason I had to finish my stay earlier than established. Don't know if you'll be able to respond! Thank you ^^
Hi! As far as I know it is okay to quit earlier. My roommate actually left the volunteering projects a couple months earlier because she found a job and for her it was completely fine. I guess you would just have to communicate it. Hope this helps and enjoy volunteering :)
Hi Lisa, it's really nice to see your awesome vidoe I like it so much thanks for sharing. Id like to have the same experience as you so Please I have some questions. How did you participate? And what are the conditions for the applications? Thanks in advance ❤😗😙😚
That's so good to hear, glad to know the videos are useful! I participated through e-mail, but just google european solidarity corps and you will find all information about how to apply and the conditions ;)
Hey Lisa, I just have a couple of questions if that's OK :) First do you need a driving licence to do an ESC placement and secondly are you allowed time off for a holiday? Thanks very much!
Hi Conor, of course you can ask questions ;) No, I did not (and still don't) have a driving license. There might be some projects where they want you to have a driving license, and in that case it is always written in the project description. Yes you are allowed to take tme off for a holiday, you get two free days every month (and of course weekend you are free), and you can accumilate them. And also you are free on bank holidays :)
@@conorscannell4504 Ah yes, but you do it once you arrive, so not before. When you arrive you will get information about it, if it is an online course or if you get a teacher.
I would say to not make your application too formal, include pictures and your hobbies and really show how motivated you are. It is not really about your work/education experience and more about who you are and how motivated you are. So that's my advice ;)
i would to do this, but beacuse of covid i feel like i might not meet other volunterrs or there wont be many . Also did you save alot of money before going , i feel like they wont give you much to live on
Yes I guess that now it’s a bit more difficult to meet other people but there are still projects I think. I didn’t save a lot of money (depends on what you think is a lot), I think I saved €1500 but that is just because I wanted to travel a lot, I could perfectly have a nice life with the amount of money they gave me. I also explain this a bit more in a video about my whole experience that’s also on my channel :)
Yes it's very difficult to choose the right timing. I started looking really early (I got accepted in January and went to Croatia in October), but I think especially now most projects are more last-minute. In another video on my channel about my full experience I explain it a bit further. I hope this helps you and good luck!
Hey! Do you by chance know if you can take pets with you? I have a disabled ferret who needs my help do do basic things like peeing, which means I’d have to take him with me. I’d still have time to do all the work and such, since he only requires my help early in the morning and late at night… but I don’t know if I’d be allowed to take him😕
Hi! I actually don’t really know the answer to this but I guess it depends on the organisation you’d want to volunteer in so you would have to ask. I did know a volunteer that had a dog that she took with her so it completely depends on the organisation and their rules and the apartment of course. Hope this helps :)
How do you mean exactly? In my time I still had to do the application by e-mail and for me they just sent back that I was accepted ;) But this is different in the ESC now I think
@@lisasknitclub can you be able to apply again on this program if you have already taking part before and also if not do you know of similar project like this one?:)
@@aymz2979 You can only do a European Voluntary Service/European Solidarity Corps once, similar projects are youth exchanges or traineeships (for a shorter amount of time), or ESC jobs, Erasmus for Entrepreneurs and maybe even more ;) But just google it and you will find out more information

Hello i m also looking for a volunteer but i dont know how
Hello! I am almost 18, but not yet. I applied next week and i didnt recieve an answer yet. Do you think they would accept me?
Hi! That's something I can't really answer for you because it depends on the organisation. I would just email them to ask about it. Good luck!
Thanks. Have a nice day.

Hii, is this program is fully funded
Did they pay airfare tickets, and after you travel did they give you small amount of money to live
Hey, if I apply there I'll have time to visit the country??in weekends or idk??
You don’t necessarily have to visit the country before going there for a project
