- Hi guys, this flight review video is about my recent flight from Beijing to Frankfurt on Lufthansa's Airbus A340-600 in economy class , this flight departed at 11:20 (PEK time) and arrived at 14:20 (FRA time)
This my first time on the A340-600 and I was very excited to fly it, as it is one of my favourite planes and unfortunately it's is getting much harder to fly on one nowadays as airlines are switching to planes that consume less fuel like the 787 and the A350.
This flight was excellent, this was my first day flight on Lufthansa and my first Lufthansa long haul flight that's not operated by the A380. The 2-4-2 seat configuration of this plane is my favourite on the market as it's the most comfortable for long haul travel, I was also happy with the IFE system Lufthansa has installed on these planes. It's fast, responsive and has a lot of content.
The flight attendants on this flight also did a great job, they showed to the passengers that they enjoyed their job and their smiles were genuine.
The catering on this flight was good (for Lufthansa standards), catering on Lufthansa flights outside of Germany tends to be better than Lufthansa's own catering in Frankfurt or Munich.

Thanks! The footage from inside the plane while taxiing and taking off/landing is with my phone mounted on the window with a suction cup. All other footage is handheld :)

Thank you, but there are several airlines that still have these planes in their inventory like Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, Iberia and South African.

I’m taking this route I don’t know what plane I’m taking I’m hoping that it’s A350 or something newer I’m doing this route the opposite way frankfurt to Beijing
Is there a restroom upstairs for those who can't manage the stairs?
I think the business class lavatories are upstairs so I’m pretty sure you are able to use them if you ask the flight attendants.

I know one of Lufthansa's A-340-642 has been sent to deep storage today. But I still see them flying, I spotted on Flight Radar 24 yesterday one of them (another A-340-600) going to Frankfurt from Bangkok and another one going to Bangkok from Frankurt. There's Swiss ones also, A-340-313s flying mainly to Asia.
Meal # 1! Pasta salad and pasta main course??? A real no no! Lufthansa should and could do much better!!
