When Guyanese start voting for those who support the average man, we will see changes. As long as they keep voting for people who will steal their monies, run drug empires and employ those who don't know shit about growing community and systems to advance its citizens they'll always get BS leadership and mediocre results from failed politicians.

Guyana has interesting places to visit such as the capital, Georgetown, the Kaieteur waterfall, Port Kaituma (near Jonestown, where the biggest suicide occurred in 1978), Paruima village (the only Amerindian community Arecuna) and the Amerindian communities of Phillipai and Amokokupai (in the vicinity of Mount Roraima). 😉

Way more needs to be done to uplift these national sites. I'm not satisfied until the bar is raised higher. Way too many Guyanese have a low standards for what is expected of their homeland and what government should be doing. I'm not excited to invite any of western friends just yet, though I'll come home and enjoy family.
Anywhere we travel in the world national sites are a treasure and their standards extremely high. To see the bare minimum in 2021 at the few national sites we have, is extremely disappointing. Don't know what some of these people talking about, but I for one I'm not impressed with these sites. You have a mall which looks like it landed out of first world, because it's privately-owned and you want to attract customers, but then the treasured sites which should be taken care of by city localities and government funds, looks like they starving for repaint, green grass, art, celebration of culture, life, and country pride. Who the hell is in charge of these national sites that their creative and progressive thoughts are next to nothing? Smdh!
