You're only teacher who know what problems the students may be facing at the time. And also one who give how to study how to train our brain which is of most significance.
At the outset I have lot of respect for Aashish sir and phenomenal work he has done for students but I humbly differ with statement that baranch does not matter as long as one is getting IIT.
My comment and observations are based on first hand experience and my interactions with hundreds of my students studying at different IITs and NITS.
In 2019 my son was in similar situation his IIT andvanced rank was 4019 and mains rank was 1901 percentile 99.89 and BITSAT score was 405 /450 .While he could have got chemical and civil he was interested in CS only .While lot of people said that IIT has a brand and branch does not matter .
I spoke to my students who had graduated in Civil and chemical from IIT Bombay four of them were working in IT related jobs while one was at IIM persuing management.
I went with him to BITS Pilani campus and found that 99 percent students in CS branch were advanced qualified with ranks ranging from 700 to 12000.
BITS has a different approach to education as a whole , their practice school system is extremely beneficial to students .They have no reservations or management quota and the only criteria is BITSAT score so the peer group is really at par .
Many think BITS is unaffordable then please note that scholarships at BITS are handy .On personal note my son was in merit for all eight semesters and got 100 percent fee waiver for all semesters .Financially we only paid around 4 lacs for hostel and mess and he earned around 10 lacs through internships he got through college . So if one is prepared to work life gives you opportunities .He has offers for two multinationals he would join one next month.
The purpose to share the personal experience was to motivate students and to make them understand pl know what you want to do in life and then move in that direction .
Jokingly, I always tell my students when you have to marry you consider traits of person not acheivement of khandan same when you are to decide on careers ,don't go for brand ,go for branch always remember no job, no degree has scope, scope lies in the person who holds that job .

This comment is an eye opener for all those people saying "BITS students are those who dont get anything in IIT"
A massive 25 percent of IITians who opted for placement did not even get placed ...so how dangerous the advice to take any branch at IIT can be ...folks, go for good branches at good colleges rather than going for a tag of IIT If your rank is below 10OO think BITS , NITs, IIITs and colleges like DTU or NSCIT through JAC counselling
@@PhysicssimplifiedbySunilBalani Mathematucally speaking you or I represent a sample size of 350 people that take admission into BITS CS each year. On the population of 16,000 that take admission in IITs your sample size is small and fall under above middle class, rich or ultra rich category. Your priorities are different. So you need to consider this before judging Mr. Ashish Arora.
P.s: I have been working in IT for 25 years, travelled extensively to more than 15 countries. So IT is not new to me and even people with Liberal Arts background excelled in IT. So let us not over estimate an IT degree and treat all others as useless.
@@yssrinidhi At the outset I am not out to judge anyone and have no idea from where the notion of judging comes up ...the only point I am trying to make that if one has diffrent choices then one should go for once liking and what is in demand rather than taking any branch just because of an IIT tag in a hope that everything will be Hunky Dory by learning to code.

IIT circuital has lot of competition as relative score to maintain a good cpi is very high due to intellect of students so and the top companies have a really high cutoff for getting a chance to sit for there placements also the subjects are very hectic and tough as well which can easily cost your cpi if you not spend a lot of time doing acads i spent 1 year in my department and i have do have a good cpi but i am not able to participate in clubs or do coding and all there are lot of my friends who did it and they are in really good position but they are also facing similar problems so if you take circuital specially in IIT then be ready to work hard way too much to be what you are dreaming for but this is different than jee as this environment is distracting and dont expect spoon feeding over there like you get in jee dont expect helpful profs as ashish sir they are not going to motivate you or give you strategy to how to score well in there course .IIT circuital branches are highly rewarding for sure but dont expect the kind of iit life you see in vlogs or some teachers say you dont have to study
and yes CPI IS IMPORTANT
congratulations to all the jee aspirants get ready for some reality check and roller coaster ride .
and yes branch matters a lot so choose carefully
if you are in circuital 95-100 percent companies open for you for others it is genrally 60-40 percent depending on your iit ,branch,skillset and connections etc for any iit 75 percent of iitans earn between 15-16LPA 15 percent earns between 20-40LPA
(SDE ,ML,AI) or some core branches in circuital 9 percent make it to ppo or top companies get (45-60)LPA and legendary 1percent get (1cr+) gernally in data analytics ,data sciences etc

My advance went really bad because of intense headache on that day but I got into bits cse in goa and hyderabad and ece in pilani as per last year cutoff and got 99.2 in mains. This video helped me to get motivated. I was feeling very down as iit was my dream. Thank you sir.

Sir I was in same situation last year I was getting IITBHU Chemical, IITKGP Mining or IITG Civil kind of branches in IITs and MANIT Bhopal CS and BITS Pilani EEE. I opted for BITS. I would say it was very tough for me to make a decision but finally I decided to come here and I'm happy witb what i choosed.

Not everyone can prefer BITs over NITs.
The reason being fee structure.
Also in the last few years NITs are growing very fast as a brand name. If you are passionate about your work there is very little difference between NIT and IIT (but only if you are passionate about your subject and your work)

Dear Mr Arora, I was recommended to your channel by another parent friend. My son is in 11th and was seeing few videos for motivation. Apparently he got demotivated by your talk in several videos constantly undermining branches like basic sciences or Non IT and Non EC. Leave it for kids to chose their branches and schools rather than explaining the need for IIT tag regardless of the branch. Each branch has its merits and my son is profoundly interested in pure science and as a matter of fact many of our extended family members are Prof and prof Emeritus in prestigious institutions across US and in IISC. Most of them specialised in the area solid state, superconductors, material science, theoretical particle physics. While your grasp of physics is commendable in teaching kids at 11 and 12th, may be you can also be an influence for them to choose other pure science or ‘lesser branches’ according to you as well.
You are capable to choose your branch that is good thing for you only not for others because there are too many students who are unable to take true decision on choosing correct branch and college at their rank.
And Don't give your family introduction and if have no need of these videos then move on and don't try to spread any bad things 👍

After much discussion with seniors at IIT as well as HOD's at allen., here's what i have finally realized.:
Low branch at iit > cse at any college > other branches at any college
Guys the iit tag really matters. A lot of companies will hire you only bcoz of the iit tag. There are many companies which hire from IIT only.

Never ever take a lower branch thinking that you will do branch change. It's very hard to survive with a branch you don't like, you must be comfortable in studying that for 4 years whichever branch you take.

A CSE student has to study only CSE cources for CG and placement.
Other students have to study their branch for CG and then study CSE courses for minor or ftom tbeir own sources. Double hard work.
Yes , if among tier 1 colleges , if you are getting CSE , and youhave strong inclination towards CSE , you should take CSE only.

IITs are overhype , because if it is not so , coaching industry will not flourish.
Both have their own advantages... In other branch students get more idea to apply software application in the additional logic they study in their branch so application part in that branch grows... Core industry in that branch many times prefer these students for their IT division preferably from IITs, Top NITs or BITS where coding skills build much more than any other colleges...

Bro take old IITs lower branches. They are much better than EE in DTU as in IITs you can study anything of your choice, there is no fixed restriction between branches. Also the exposure that old IITs will provide you is unmatched to any other college of India.

Left bitspilani cs for IIT Madras mech last year keeping in mind what you said about the coding culture at iits, now I feel ok about my decision though have to work hard being in mechanical to get into IT sector 😅........
I believe BPPC CS would have been better if you were able to afford it and had an interest in CS, other than that for anything else IIT Madras comes on top.

Sir I want want cse in a iit , nit or IIIT, but recently I have seen that , all tech giants are firing employees on a large scale (like Google, Microsoft etc ) . One of my relative who works in a tech giant said that this is due to chatgpt as it is helps to do complex work in less time with less work force at low cost so people are using this

Yes bro you are one of the few people who are understanding the current situation and realizing CSE and IT are no longer safe and high-paying branches.
I also realized this a few days back and now I will opt for the non-tech branches like EE, ME and CE in IITs instead of just blindly running for CSE.
The advanced AI will consume up almost all the work in IT sector and millions of CSE graduates will be rendered jobless.
I am making sure I don't fall into the same situation as I have a big family who need my economic support.
