I agree that the show doesn't feel like Star Wars, but I think it's a good show. it works for me. On the other hand The Acolyte felt like Star Wars but was badly written. Then again Andor didn't feel much like Star Wars either and it was really good. For me Skeleton Crew falls into the third category with definite Goonies vibes, but is something new. Remember we were not told it was Goonies in space. We were told it was Stanger Things in space. And it certainly isn't that. Goonies in space was talked about much, much later.
Thank you for your comment. The showrunner and directors spoke about Amblin Entertainment before the premiere. They created the comparison in fans’ minds. I agree: Stranger Things was the first association from the studio. I’m glad you’re enjoying Skeleton Crew. It hasn’t moved me. However, as you described series that both embraced and divorced Star Wars, I thought, “Storytelling is the key.” It’s the measure of quality regardless of Star Wars elements IMO.
@@galacticinitiative7979 i agree. Skeleton Crew is clearly about telling a story (as was Andor) and not about checking boxes on a DEI list (Comments about Fern aside). And the focus on good story telling is refreshing. Is Skeleton Crew perfect? No. But the level of writing is so much better than drivel like Acolyte. Because the focus is on the writing and telling a story.
Don’t care how “good” it is it’s a show for little children and i don’t like idea of weirdo Disney working with children considering the people they have hired…
I understand your reluctance to watch a Disney Star Wars series due to recent history, and I can’t say, “The studio has changed its ways.” Though it has potential, I don’t like the show. In my analyses, I’ve called out its missed opportunities. I respect your decision to avoid it. Thank you for watching my video.
It’s okay
“Okay” seems to be the prevailing opinion.
Thank you for watching.
Watching skeleton crew makes me urge to see one day an r rated star wars show/ movie even more but besides that cool show but lots to be desired
Thank you for watching. Did you enjoy Andor for its mature themes?
Nah not for it's mature theme but for the astestic and music
@@DonONtheRUN Practical effects really benefited the aesthetic of that series.
We should do a collab on each others channel one day I have some good star wars videos in mind my friend.
@ What do you have in mind?

I would argue that it's not for little children, but for all ages.
