I don't think it's so much his fear of heaven as his sense of duty and sense of mission in his life. As a being of love, and a guardian, he feels obligated to defend and protect humans (from Heaven AND Hell) and feels he was created to do this. A deep sense of calling has broken up many couples.

I like that Crowley pretends that the one miracle limit is in case the magic trick doesn't, but never having fired a gun he has no intention of doing the trick the way it's supposed to be done. He's just going to miracle it. And not tell aziraphale in order to protect him. It's not until he realizes the effect of the miracle blocker that he starts to read the directions on how to actually do the trick, which results in the dancing girls seeing his actual eyes. I love that little bit of vulnerability there.
Back again for the adorableness. One of my favorite scenes is Aziraphale in tears because he thinks he suddenly became a demon when he's still in his little angel nightgown with the golden kermit-the-frog ruff around his neck, pure white wings, fluffy white hair, etc. Nothing has changed a bit but he still feels he's suddenly evil. He's just so wholesome and brave about the prospect. No wonder Crowley both laughs at him and treasures him.
I know! I totally agree! Their performances are off the charts amazing. Michael Sheen’s ability to completely transform himself is astonishing. I love them both.
Only now I noticed Aziraphale got a little jealous of the car because Crowley said with baby voice that he missed the car and didn´t say the same to him, only "there you are! - and shove some plants on his direction" poor aziraphale
I do not cry at movies or shows, I am the cynical type and just never have found anything to cry over in a show but this actually made me tear up. That to me shows the level of the writing and the acting is far above anything I have seen in a very long time.

Well, I've worked as a counselor for many years, and unfortunately, many, many couples devote almost no time or skill to LISTENING, empathizing, and communicating respectfully about differing values and viewpoints--they just assume they both see things the same. Until some big life event (like a job opportunity, hint hint) forces them to try and do all their communicating under pressure with deadlines, etc. looming.
I like Azis reaction to Crowley calling him a bastard in the Ritz. That smile 😘. As though he feels caught and finally admits the "Angel=good and Demons=bad -charade". He always calls demons bad and pigeonholes Crowley (sometimes). But in this situation he just smiles when told he was a bit of a demon himself and maybe admits in a way it is not too bad Crowley is a demon...
It amazes me how much their relationship was foreshadowed and I didn't notice the first time around. Now, it's so easy to see...Aziraphale's double glances and so many sweet moments between them. The moment when Asi started to say "I lo..." and turned it into "I forgive you." My heart 💔 Michael and David are both at the top of their game and Good Omens is so well written. A total joy. Roll on Season 3!!!
- I love the idea of an I was wrong you were right dance. Its hard to get a lot of people to really admit when they are wrong and I think if we had it part of our culture that there was a little dance you performed when you were proven so would really improve things :)

Just listening to their voices - generally Crowley has sharp edges to his words, unless he’s being mushy about his Angel. And Azi has a softer, rounder tone, unless he’s upset at Crowley. Just a little nuance that makes things stand out for me

I love them SOOO much, but I have to say that months later, it's frustrating to watch these two continually make assumptions, omit information, and fail to take each other seriously throughout season 2. I'm not even surprised things went down as badly as they did in the final 15, because Aziraphale and Crowley are TERRIBLE at communicating. It's not just that they don't talk to each other --- they don't listen, either. I hope season 3 gives us some payoff and finally lets them communicate properly.
After Az volunteered to be the magician at the nightclub, he was bragging about his magic talents and says something like "You're looking at the fellow who fooled Nefertiti with a pomegranate seed and three cowrie shells!" A little later, Crowley's talking Az into buying a more impressive trick at the magic shop. Az thinks he's not "professional" enough to go there, and Crowley says "You, my Nefertiti-fooling-fellow, are about to perform on the West End stage!"
