Correct, just to add little more, In the UK, the regulatoery body has directed all banks (after 2007-2008 financial fiasco in US) whose deposit has more than 25 billions, they require ring fence means the retail and commercial banking activities should be separated from GBM (Global Banking Markets/ Investment banks) so that hard earned money of consumer will not bail out the bank in case of crisis.
