I recently purchased a 95 s10 blazer 4.3 4x4. It has a 5 speed swapped into it. Used to be automatic. The trans started making a hell of a noise even when I’m neutral and locking up while driving. Somthing in there is broken but it will shift into all gears. I am having trouble identifying what transmission it is exactly to replace it with another. Will the transmission out of a k1500 5 speed work with it as well or will I have to find a manual zr2 to pull it from?
I have a question for you. At the very start of the video (0:00). On the right side. And on the case. There is a hole where a bolt goes. I removed that bolt on my transmission. Thinking it was a filler port. NOW. I can't get that bolt back in. Can you help me? Will my transmission need to be removed to get that bolt back in. Any advise would be very helpful.

Hello greetings from Argentina. I have this misca transmission in my truck. but I can not put the reverse gear, would you have a video or can you guide me how to put the reverse gear? regards
Is this the NV3500 GM? AS far as I’m aware, there were a variety of NV3500, both for dodge and for Chevy. Also, what kit are you referring too? I’m grinding bad in my C1500 when shifting to 3rd and a little when shifting to 4th. I’m assuming it’s the synchros.
Hey do you have any clue if the chevy nv3500 and the dodge nv3500 are the same? I'm getting ready to rebuild a dodge nv3500 and I'm trying to find parts. But it seems everywhere I look only has chevy nv3500 parts
I've got a 4x4 version I'm pulling apart to inspect. But I can't seem to get the gear set out of the rear housing. I've got the seal and rear lock ring removed. Any tips? Thanks for the video by the way.
All the retaining bolts are removed? I had to tap the whole gear set out. The output shaft/bearing like to become glued into the housing after years of use.
@@beeterolds yes sir, only thing left in the trans is the gear set with forks. I've removed the shifter rail with rollers and shift selector. It is the 4x4 so I wonder if I really need to build that JIG. It's got like 1.5" of in and out play. It's really wanting go fall out but bound up. It doesnt feel seized. Truck and trans has 60k miles original on it. Only real reason I'm opening it is to look and just reseal it. At this point I'm doing a full rebuild on it. Clutch was shot. That's unfortunately why everything came out.
Is there a part 3 showing the jig and tear down of the gears ?
What did you use to get the detent plug out?
I built a jig and rebuilt mine. Also pieced together a Kent Moore Hm-290 tool set from ebay. It was Alot Easier.

Is the reverse gear synchronized in the NV3500?
3 threads actually hold about 80% of the bokts potential force

You pretty good with rebuilding things keep it up
These transmissions have helical and double helical spur gears.
You know that shift tower doesn't get much force at the bolts a little longer is good but tapping it to a larger bolt totally unnecessary
Why can’t I find part 1
