I honestly don't even think the 6-1 scoreline does this game justice. The Canes were so thoroughly dominant, they could've easily scored another 2 or 3 goals.
Yea I think they controlled 50 of the 60 minutes. I think the Devils legit played incredibly well for the first 10mins of the first...they got counter-punched to make it 1-1 by the end of the period and I think they just were never able to get back into the game. Seemed like Jordo's line was really able to effectively smother Jack Hughes' line, which Carolina wasn't able to do in Game 3. Hope Carolina can close it out Thursday.

Canes D had the highest amount of goals in franchise history, and 2 D men had double digit goals. The forecheck suffocates offenses across the league, it’s what they do to every team. To say I’m proud of them is an understatement. I never had them making it this far.

I'm not gonna count the Debs out til they're home on the couch they've at least earned that amount of respect finishing 3rd in the whole league in points only behind my Canes and the Bruins. They're a young team with a lot of upside and they are sure to give my Canes fits for the forseeable future in the Metro if they do their off season moves right. That said, hell of a game from my Canes, hopefully they'll come out and be that dominant again on Thursday at home.

REALITY; The Devils got a few good games from Akira Schmid and it was JUST enough to beat the Rags in 7 - i said at the time he didnt have it in him to take the on a run and clearly the staff agrees but who knows, Schmid'll prob be back next game but its also a ust win so who knows...i just knew they had agood run of Schmid (cuz the 3 wins he got htem were tight/OT games minus the last one) but it wouldnt last and whaddaya know, the Dev's are getting exposed by a Carolina team thats good not great - i mean theyre very similar to last years team who the rangers eliminated in round 2 just sayin...
