    Many thanks for an excellent overview--we are buying a 2023 and most of the videos, especially those from LichtsinnRV are little more than extended advertisements and sales presentations. You took the time to walk us through every element of the vehicle, providing extremely useful information about how things work, what to do and not to do---absolutely invaluable. Thanks.

    I AM VERY THANKFUL FOR YOUR VIDEO. NEXT TIME I GET ANOTHER SOLIS, I WILL CONSIDER YOU GUYS - NO QUESTIONS. You take the time to explain to rookies like me how to operate this RV.

    Thanks for the excellent video. Seeing how each component is actually used is so much more useful than having features just pointed out.

    Fantastic video - thank you for demonstrating the features and and how they work instead of just telling us how “easy” something is or “simply do this!” You were very thorough.

    Loved the video. Just drove home in our 2022 Solis PX and I was feeling totally overwhelmed with all the information. This video certainly helped - a LOT. I've got it bookmarked so I can come back to it as needed. Well done and thanks!

    Great video,.really nice model for a family. Major Winnebago design flaw to have the City water inlet inside the rig. C'mon Winnebago, innovate...how hard is it to put a connection outside, or make a sealable hole in the floor below that water station to bring the hose in overnight?!

    • @debraburges8204
      @debraburges8204 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree completely. At least you can fill the water tank and close the doors overnight, and any time you are away during the day.

      Minor inconvenience…not a deal breaker!

      Could probably have an aftermarket mod done if that was a deal-breaker.

      TOTALLY AGREE! Especially as a traveling single female... and I have 2 German Shepherd Dogs. Leaving the back doors open all the time is NOT ideal! Am loving my 2023 SOLIS 59PX!!!

    Kudos for an excellent video. Thanks for the comprehensive coverage, making me want to own one. One question though, with all that high tech in the car, why did Solis not put in a water-full sensor on the fresh water tank, and instead having to rely on primitive "you'll notice a overflow leak on the passenger side floor"?

    what are the differences between 2021 vs. 2022 Solis PX?

  • @suma6473
    @suma6473 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I think I just heard you say the refrigerator would turn off if the LP is turned off. Is that real? I thought the Solis had a compressor fridge.

    • @debraburges8204
      @debraburges8204 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      THe frig does run on the batteries, and solar is enough to keep things cold :)

    • @RoadTripRuss
      @RoadTripRuss 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok I hope this doesn't add to confusion. He did say Gas on the Fridge but in another video from someone else says battery. If this was Gas You typically have to do different things to start it. And the PDF manual does say compressor which would make sense as battery driven. Given that you can charge your batteries with the generator to me the would be better. The Travato has only one electric induction burner. Yes a microwave but with the px version just stick one in the back who needs a TV? Get a portable projector and screen and it's movie time indoor or outdoor. The only thing I don't like is ground clearance which you can get 3" for 3k yikes. There's got to be a cheaper solution than 3k
      Anyway hopefully I can get one next year.

    • @marimartin8732
      @marimartin8732 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was confused on that also because we always have our fridge on with just solar

    I thought the refrigerator worked on 12v only, not gas. Did I misunderstand?

    This loft fabric and straps. They look sloppy when you stowed it all away. Isn’t there a way to tuck it all in?

    Great walk through video. That unlockable fuel door is ridiculous, especially nowadays with people siphoning gas because they don't want to buy their own gas.

    Does the Solis 59px have a vent fan anywhere in the van? im wanting to use the back as a work area and would like a fan to suck the fumes out.

    • @debraburges8204
      @debraburges8204 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We added a clip on fan from WalMart that uses a USB plugin to move air around. You could tilt it to increase air flow through the roof vent in the pop top.

    • @debraburges8204
      @debraburges8204 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      THis video taught me that the vent can be adjusted! You can't learn all the details in a fast presentation at the RV dealer! It shows that he rents the vans out. He really wants to make sure people learn what they need to!

    • @xneilaelprupx
      @xneilaelprupx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      there are vents in adjustable in the truma panel. i havent been able to find a video that explains the WHOLE panel including the vent options which can be turned on while the heater is off. it uses the vent under the passenger seats and on the side of the back storage units under the murphy bed. fan settings are 1-10 which vents cool air pretty nicely without needing the generator turned on for airflow from the fan. there are timer controls for the heat that im still trying to figure out but if you/anyone finds a video that actually explains the details that would be super illuminating!!

    Those cassette toilets seem like quite a hassle. I’m guessing a family of four would require a daily empty, if not twice daily.

    Man I really want this model with all the bells and whistles like AC and Generator but with a Sofa instead of Murphy bed. Too bad they dont' have this, I have to look at other brands. Would be awesome if they give options like this instead of pick and choose.

      They have a model with the couch that turns into a bed, it has the bath in the rear

    • @giangluvvynabbey

      @@kimdagnillo8246 I think that model is only for the 59P which does not include AC and a Generator. I want AC and a couch in the back which they do not offer. I wish they did though. I would so buy one but intead right now i'm looking at zion. Looking to buy soon.

    Amazing orientation here, thank you. I'm "RV Curious" after owning 6 boats, and there are some real parallels in buying 'entry level.' So many things I see in this video are slipshod and cheap. Every material, fixture, hinge, metal, plastic piece, latch: super, super cheap. You drive away with this gorgeous new camper and two seasons later everything starts to break or wear out. The bathroom door, the 'shower curtain' pole, those window coverings, that stove, those cushions, laughable 'storage' areas, cheap latches, generator under the floor cutting your clearance, and no way to connect water without having the back doors open?!! It's the Bayliner of campers... you get what you pay for.
