Director Rima Das in conversation with Gajendra Singh Bhati (Cinema Editor, The Lallantop). Her new and globally acclaimed film Tora's Husband is in the theatres across many cities in India, since 29 September, 2023. Rima hails from Assam and is a self taught filmmaker. In this interview she talks about her struggle as an actress in Mumbai, when she had to do small roles in tv shows like CID and the characters would die in 2-3 days. Later she went on to become a filmmaker whose movie Village Rockstars won four National Film Awards and was India's official entry to Oscars. The sequel to this film, Village Rockstars 2 is in the making now. Her film Bulbul Can Sing also got rave reviews. Rima shares how she faught with depression and dejection.
