Ten years ago, after receiving my final chemo in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and before starting my radiation treatments I headed south to see Rob in Denver, Colorado. I was skinny and bald, vacillating from dancing to sitting in the front row. I had no idea that Rob had seen me until when singing “Her Diamonds” he came and stood directly in front of me and sang “if she can find daylight, she’ll be alright, she’ll be alright, just not tonight!” ☝️ pointing and smiling simultaneously. I’m fully recovered from breast cancer and a lucky to have this fabulous memory from a scary time in my life. I smile about it every time I listen to the DENVER LIVE from the show! My advice is to always buy the music from the show you go to so you can relive that night over and over again!

10 years ago I was in a severe suicidal depression. This album helped save my life, especially the song ‘Someday’. That song was my one glimmer of hope that everything would be ok. I held onto that hope and I got better. Thank you, Rob, for your words and music. It changes (and saves) lives.

I never realized what the lyrics meant but I always loved this song for some reason. I love it even more now. I was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (childhood autoimmune disease) as a baby, and this song means much more to me than I'll ever be able to express. I find it so special that Rob Thomas wrote not one, but two songs about his wife's health issues (Ever the Same). It just tugs at my heart, and I hope that in the future I can get married to someone who would be willing to write songs for me (figuratively, not literally, though that would work as well)

I love that this song's beat is not sad at all... It's upbeat and hopeful in contrast to the downbeat and almost hopeless lyrics. Like despite the defeated tone of the lyrics, deep down he's feeling like she can overcome whatever suffering she's going through.

I've been a big Matchbox 20 fan all my life ...and a fan of yours as a solo artist too.......my wife , not so much but check this out....in 2016 I finally convinced her to listen to this awesome song , she immediately burst into tears of happiness .....my wife passed away from cancer a year later in 2017....and because of this song...alone , she died perhaps a bigger fan of yours and Matchbox 20 than I ever have been I Love her and miss her every day Thank you for sharing your gift with me and...more importantly my wife in her final days , I'll never forget it Bless you 🙏♥

I thought of this song today bc lately I'm kind of feeling like this. I know part of it is that I've been I overworking myself to try to make ends meet. Even when I have a chance to sleep I don't sleep well a lit or when I do I'm still tired and i end up feeling shaky, dizzy n nauseous a lot n I just feel like crying bc I don't feel good and I feel like I can't make my body do what I need it to. It's frustrating bci eat well and usually I'm pretty healthy but now I feel like my body's giving out.
