@ oh for sure! It’s weird even though the last day was the worst day I’ve ever had at any job, it’s honestly one of the best days of my life in hindsight 😅
I love your videos. This is such an adventure! What a tough time and you’re handling it with so much poise and grace. I hope your move is everything you dreamed of and more ❤❤
@@Unpopularity thank you so much for your support 😊 I appreciate it! Haha yes, I’m making it through. Definitely looking forward to what the future holds 🤩
Somehow just found your Wabasha video from last summer. We are planning to move to Minnesota from California. Looking at Lake City, Pine City or Wabasha. All of my relatives live in Minnesota (some are in Wisconsin). Last year we bought a GMC Sierra in Minneapolis (to eventually pick up our Corvette from storage in St. Louis for the Corvette Museum's 30th Anniversary event) and on that day, March 24, was the FIRST DAY OF SNOW!?! I guess 2025 is more typical. In Tucson make sure you try "EFES" Beer. You can only buy it in some parts of Arizona and Washington state.
Oh wow, what a small world. Can I ask you why you are choosing to move? To be closer to family? And why are you choosing Wabasha, Lake City and Pine Island as options? I'm just very curious. Also, I hope you and everyone you know are safe from the fires if you are from the LA area.
I live in the Southern California high desert where our last big fire was the "Blue Cut" in August 2016, which closed the Cajon Pass. My mean boss ordered me to drive five hours to work through Lancaster and NW Los Angeles. When there was a fire near his home he did not come to work. There is something magical about Minnesota. We went to Winona every summer to see grandparents and cousins. My parents originally came from Chicago (father) and Dover, Minnesota (mother). I know winters can be harsh but I am OK with staying indoors. We like Lake City. Pine City has a brand new home on two acres for less than most Lake City homes. Wabasha has one new home on Majestic Street that is overpriced compared to the neighborhood and has no basement!
I’m still planning on sticking with embryology. I’m excited to join a lab that aligns with my goals of learning the rest of the field & working with cool, non-toxic people and leaders who actually know how to lead. But also, I lowkey want to just live minimal and do van life someday haha. Would be nice to learn the field and then take another break after saving some money to do van life 🚐
@@heathergossesorry to hear about the toxic environment, but glad to hear you're still interested in sticking with it despite it all. Wishing you the best!
Did you get shit canned/fired? If so, that sucks. Was the boss/coworkers that bad? Most Houstonians are pretty nice, but like anywhere else there can be jerks. Try Rudy's bbq before you officially leave.
Yes and yes. Super toxic people with a leader who didn’t know how to manage the toxic people so the toxic people just made mine and everyone else’s life a living hell. Funny thing is though, after I was fired, 2 other coworkers & a lab supervisor left the job. With less people, the people who are left have to work so much more. They have job postings but no one is applying. I feel bad for the people I got along with but for the others, karma is a bitch. Wish everyone well but good riddance.
@@heathergosse LOL Reminds me of a quote. People do not leave Companies, they leave shitty supervisors. It sounds like you are going to have a fresh new start in Arizona. I really hope everything goes well for you there. And hopefully you find a handsome young man there who will sweep you off your feet and make an honest woman out of you! =)
@@jamchris98 lol I have no idea. I’m glad I don’t have a thick Minnesota or Southern accent tbh .. maybe I should just move to CA since I already sound like it 😆😂💅
