Awesome vid Steve. Was lucky enough to have a chat we paul the other night about getting the bass to eat. Two legends out there having a crack mate its good to see 🤙
Thanks Jeroen! Yes absolutely, I think like a lot of good trout streams the difficulty of getting there is part of the experience, but also helps preserve it as a good fishery. :)
Inspiring video Steve! Makes me want to get out my topographical maps and plan a mission of my own. i truly appreciate the beautiful country we live in while wathing this video
Thanks! The rod is a Sage Bass II Bluegill (6/7 weight), Rio predator #7 wt fly line. The rod is a graphite rod but it’s short (7’11”) and loads up easily at shorter range, which is useful for bass fishing. :)
I am about to go there for a trip and never been before what do u usually catch and is there bass where the trout are or what fish are in the trout streams to
You will find bass in the eastern flowing streams going into the Nepean, and trout in the western flowing streams and the Coxs river catchment. Good luck!
Thanks Steve! I was only carrying 12lb Maxima, but I did end up scrounging some 10lb fluorocarbon off Paul. Had I known what it was going to be like I would have carried in some lighter tippet….;)
Another Ha! While I was writing this my smarter half was chatting with you (and others) on a fly tieing site. Thanks for the tips on spots to take our son! Probably catch up with you at a club outing once I'm back on my feet. PP
Thanks for sharing a wonderful time with your friend on such a gorgeous stream.
Thanks! Yes it was a lovely stream, will definitely have to go back there.... ;)

Wow what a great video. Wonderful fishing in a beautiful environment. What was the gear you were using looks like a glass rod?
