This was a major help for me in putting ape hanges on my 09 Sproster. I was having one heck of a time with extending the wiring and getting the pins out of the turn signial connector. You sure saved the day. Much Thanks!!!!
Sir my hat's off to you. I've been trying to take apart the exact same connector for weeks. I've used every type of bent wire, screwdriver and anything else I could find to no avail! I even bought the specific Snap on tool! No joy! My painter just destroyed the plug for my led license plate and had to replace it! I'm at my wits end!
I have watched this 100 times I have worked on cars and bikes for 50 years I can fix anything but this has got me so perplexes, you make it look so dam easy I have copied your pick & made ten diff picks nothing works . what am I missing, these other guys seem to get it. worst part the first one did come out easy thought I had it. but the next five I have been at for hours.
I used a precision flat head screwdriver I picked up from the 99 cents store (the ones to repair sunglasses) to pick the wires out. it's a lift and pull technique meaning lift tab with tool and pull wire gently back until it comes out. don't tug , light pressure pull. it's a PIA, but it gets easier as you do it more. also, Harbor freight sells a pick set for a few bucks. those work great too.
Thank you, I was getting a little frustrated. You explained thing perfectly.

Thank you! Very informative video!!
Excellent video. A much better explanation than the service manual. Excellent camera work too!
