@user-ep6dn8mk4p I just checked, I've got 208 Zyg energy in my bag. Haven't evolved it, don't plan on doing so anyway... Didn't even go hard on it, only followed 2 'routes' (which I actually created) on my way back from work (6km so I could actually set up 2 more at least, but I'm lazy) once in a while. Routes are not the most thrilling feature, but you still get XP and items. And it's free, there's no 'P2W' involved here.

Yes as the other guy said it'll be highly improbable to nerf zygarde. Because the only way I know is to nerf it's stats itself. Mostly in the game Pokemons are nerfed by adjusting their moveset (I'm very new to the pogo world so I may be wrong) and zygarde already has the worst moveset. It's just a tank and a very good one at that. If they do something to nerf its HP stats then it'll be a problem. So I doubt they'll do it. Have they ever nerfed the stats of a Pokemon?
Zygarde being so powerful is not really a problem because of how hard it is to complete it. Feraligatr, a *starter pokemon* that has a shadow form stomping the meta on the other hand...
Even sth like Giratina is just so much worse to deal with in the UL imo
If Niantic made me walk routes for 2 years to build a zygarde and then nerfed it, i would uninstall the game lol 😂

As a free player I love that Zygarde is broken in UL, it gives you a chance to fight all of those legendaries just by playing the game and walking those routes. Stop Zygarde hate :)
It's kinda funny how some people seem to think of freakin' Giratina and Cresselia as something insurmountable for players who don't do raids (which in the age of campfire and poke genie is nothing but a choice as it costs nothing to use those). There are plenty of regular common Pokemon you can use to beat those two, the swords of justice, or Tapu Fini. Just gotta actually pay attention to the meta while teambuilding so you don't get triple countered by a 'mon with a non-existent attack stat

I hope Niantic does NOT listen to content creators when it comes to nerfing Pokemon. It’s not cool to even say that about a Pokemon that is near impossible to evolve. All that walking and route searching will be for nothing. I usually like your videos but every strong Pokemon doesn’t need to be nerfed. This is why the game is getting boring. All the nerf stuff is lame.

Money and time is wasted. I don’t want him because he is an easy win. He is hard as heck to build and get candy for and also get the cells to evolve. So if I am doing all this in order to have an awesome Pokemon then why make him not awesome anymore? I don’t rely on any easy mon but if I invest my time and/or money I’d like be able to use it for what it’s good at. If they are gonna nerf then they need to make building him more accessible. Content creators should keep that in mind when they have a following this big.

Unpopular opinion: Zygarde is not the problem, but Feraligatr is. This thing single-handedly desteoyed all the fun in GL and UL. 10 turns to hydro is absurd. They need to nerf hydro asap
Exactly, Zygarde is perfectly fine, there are lots of things that completely shut it down. Feraligatr is the real problem but you don't see any of these youtubers maybe except PokeAk mentioning it.

How would you go about nerfing Zygarde? Because the thing that makes it so good is the stats. Dragon Tail is a pretty decent move, but nerfing it would also ruin A LOT of pokemon (Hakamo-o, Kommo-o, Guzzlord, Dragalge, Garchomp, Steelix, and Rayquaza). Crunch is also decent, with the only really stupid thing about it being the debuff chance. Earthquake already got nerfed, and if it did get nerfed again Zygarde could just switch to Outrage.
I think to nerf Zygarde, you would have to nerf Dragon Tail tbh since that's the main source of damage for it. It would just suck because Dragon Tail is perfectly fair on most other pokemon, and it would nerf them for the sins of Zygarde. Niantic isn't really beyond nerfing something because one pokemon is good with it, just look at the recent Steel Wing and Dig nerfs.
Idk, Zygarde is for sure tough to balance. The stats are so insanely good for pvp.

I agree with this. Some Pokemon being extremely hard to obtain or extremely rare shakes the game up a bit adds variety (things you don't always see). And those that obtain it get to feel a sense of achievement over it.. just taking that away and making it an average Pokemon would be unfortunate.
Completely agree. I normally agree with Henry when it comes to buffs and nerfs, but people spend alot of time and effort to get the cells and to nerf it coz its annoying is ridiculous imo

I don't think Henry wants to admit it, but as others have pointed out, what is OP is the combination of Zygarde and Feraligatr. And I definitely don't think this is solely because "Zygarde is OP".
Zygarde 100% form is like The old Bastian.
Maybe a HOT take, but I recently tried this thing in UL and it's not nearly as OP as most people think it is. (at least in the current meta) As a matter of fact I've dropped like 200 elo using it after climing to around 2600 without it lmao. G weezing and/or clefable are on like every team rn and completely core break it unless you manage to land a lucky earthquake. For how long it takes, it's nowhere close to as busted as people may think. I always find it odd how people are always mad at Mons like this, yet gater is running around doing over 50% hp on resisted hydro cannons LOL. Maybe I just got algorithmed hard, but I genuinely didn't find him that OP.

I dont believe zygarde should be nerf, the amount of grind you have to do to get it is enough nerf, not a lot of people have it and the ones that do is much earned.

I just watched the Baltimore regionals, and while the competition at the tournament was tough, this event proved that nothing is tougher than trying to correctly pronounce Drapion.

There is nothing wrong with Zygarde. It's extremely time-consuming to get one, and there are many checks to it.
Just because you don't like something, it doesn't mean that it should be nerfed. Feraligator is the real issue.

Zygarde should be overpowered with all the BS it takes to finish it.
I built my zygarde at the start of this UL rotation, and built a team around it and then I saw PurpleKyogre released a vid the next day of him using that team. And now you have a zygarde team, making me feel like quite the skilful player 😂
Zero reason to nerf Zygarde. It’s the hardest Mon to get in the game and it takes 15 turns to get to a crunch alone and 21 or 24 to get to a move that has any kind of damage.
Gator is so consistent and hits so hard even if all it’s moves are resisted, whereas Zygarde gets walled by anything fairy and ice. Idk a nerf is fair
Also, as I felt with the new season update, I will always favor buffs over nerfs to balance the meta. Instead of nerfing zygarde, make things that are good against it better. Maybe buff some ice moves
Virizion wins the 0 against zygarde if it has good hp ivs. My rank 56 virizion unfortunately misses it by just a little.

I’ve been running zygarde and it’s good but I wouldn’t say it’s broken. It generates energy relatively slow and hits like a pillow. It’s a legendary Pokémon with the highest HP/bulk stat in Pokémon of course it’s going to be able to take hits. Everyone has had ample time to do routes so everyone should be able to use it people are just lazy. Rewarding more dedicated players is a good thing. If you don’t have either ice or fairy coverage your team has flaws. Feraligator is just too broken with its ability to generate energy. I think taking shadow claw away from feraligator is the way to go. Waterfall or bite maybe?

Nurf the most difficult to obtain pokemon in the game? I’d never do another route and I wouldn’t be alone. I finally got mine just over a week ago after investing more than a year in routes. Honestly the moveset isn’t that great. It’s slow to charge. If not for its bulk it would suck.
I got it about 5 months ago, and I’m already back up to 100 zygarde cells. No one uses it in UL, it’s all about pairing it with Necrozma in Master League.
Probably one of the reasons almost no one uses him, cus if less bulk

I think the addition of Scorching Sands could help out Zygarde a bit. And Crunch is kinda mid, so maybe Breaking Swipe would be beneficial. Not sure.. It seems mid to me currently. Unimpressive overall.

Can we talk about how shitty the lag is? Also cheating? I don’t know how many times Ive found my self in an overwhelming favorable position only to have the game spin out on me so I get the loss. Happens everyday on the opponents last Pokémon

@thanakritk.2668 Honestly would just give it a 1 point of 😊damage decrease. It was always kind of high damaged for its energy gen, but it wouldn't be such a massive downgrade that would make it useless. Just a last Season Wing Attack clone.

@thanakritk.2668 yeah but I mean most moves with 8 energy gain sit at 5 Damage. Powder Snow, Quick Attack and Vine Whip to name a few others. If Ghost was a bad type I could understand it being stronger than most, but it has pretty good neutral coverage over all. 5D 8E would still be a really good move by 2 turn standards

R.i.p lugia if they nerf dragon tail. They basically killed it already woth 2 sky attack nerfs.
Also R.i.p Rayquaza, which they also already killed with the breaking swipe nerf.
They also nerfed kyogre with surf because of lanturn. And groudon is now also bad because they decided landorus should be insanely overpowerd.

I think I should start doing routes more often as I do have the rank 2 UL 11/14/15 Zygarde (in terms of its full forme) that is still in its dog form.

Is it still that not many people have the complete form? I've only seen it a couple times this season (actually won both battles), and I had kind of just forgotten about mine. But I just did a 5-0 set with it and will likely continue using it while UL is active. I actually do routes every day I get a chance for the stardust, chance at rare candies, and revives and fast TMs (when I need them). So I have Zygarde complete and 250 more cells (turns out you can only carry 250 total).

EQ was already nerfed and neither crunch nor DT is especially broken - in fact dragon breath is a better move. Rather than nerf Zygarde they should buff common Zygarde opponents

Yep we just got a Primarina CD. Destroys Zyg with Charm and actually wins (just) all even-shield scenarios with Waterfall.

Im not sure it needs nerfing its slow pacing fairy and double ice weakness means its very vulnerable at the moment. It was a lot easier to use last two seasons (I cant comment on ml as I dont play it). The effort to get it too was astronomical. A reward for the non microtransaction whale. If anything I feel Gatr is the one that is very OP.
Gatr is a mon that can be played skillfully. Zygarde is not a mon that is played skillfully
That is why it should be nerfed

@@HomeSliceHenry surely the same could be said for licki greedent etc anything with bulk and low output. But gatr plays acceptably into bad matchups whereas Zygarde gets flattened in bad matches and it loses Cmp in most situations too with a fast move that's quite easy to make catches against. I still feel Gatr has way more wiggle room Vs it's counters. (All things said I am not half the player you are)
@@HomeSliceHenryYou act like you can't completely wall a Zygarde. If it's running EQ, it literally loses to a Mandibuzz when you're both starting at full. If you're struggling against an Ultra League Bastiodon, that's on you because last I checked, it has 3 weaknesses, one of which is a double. I had to adjust my teams for Bastiodon when playing great league and had to adjust my teams for pre-nerf Greedent when playing Ultra League. Cry me a river if those players now need to adjust to something of similar caliber. Team building/skill issue.

Personally zygarde is completely fine. If it was nerfed there would be 0 reason to ever build one up. Also what would you even nerf on it lol? Its moveset is completely balanced, so nerfing anything would utterly cripple every other Pokémon that uses the same moves.
I think a good way to nerf him is to ban him in UL. That's just an idea
I mean, with the amount of times it takes not to mention the candy needed and routes you have to do to get the cells it should be S good as it is in my opinion. I have been grinding cells for over a year now and I’m 12 cells away from its final form. I can’t wait to use it.

Zygarde nerf makes no sense, I reckon. I've not had a real problem countering in UL/ML and haven't even been running charmholes. Loads of players have spent so long with shitty routes and I'm sure will disengage with new gameplay mechanics if that happened. I don't even care about routes but the experience was so bad I haven't bothered with Party or Dynamax.
Nia almost certainly won't alter Zyg base IVs, which means DT or Crunch nerf - which would piss everyone off. Besides, we just had a Comm Day featuring a F2P hard counter in Primarina and now have mons that can get a Fairy fast move.
Personally, I'm hoping for a Poison/Steel meta down the line anyway.

The update didn't really make the meta more diverse, it just centralized the meta around Gatr

i created a route from my house to a close comercial center where i go to the gym
i've been walking that route almost daily for like 3 months, i only get zygard cells like 2-3 times a week, or even less some times, i have inly like 38 cells depsite walking routes t elast 5 times a week
i created 4 routes that are each around 500m long, and they build a circle together. they all start/end where the next route starts. so with walking 2km a day im mostly getting all the 3 cells / day that are possible. so in your case you could make another route for the way back, that takes a slightly different path to double your chance of daily cells
