Use a couple of 2x10's under the base. An immediate 3" extra to lift pretty much anything off the ground

We do winter tire summer tire switches at home, we do 300 vehicles per season. With the 3 ton jacks we can change tires on a vehicle in 15 minutes, we have the 5 ton for big half-tons, my floor jacks have not seen the light since getting these 2 years ago, we never had an issue with the airbag jacks. They do use a lot of air but we have a large compressor. I just wish I had bought them sooner.

I agree my floor jack hasn't been used since I got the air bag jack either

You are the first person on TH-cam that routed the hose in that manor. Thinking about getting this jack, maybe the 6k one, and I will run the hose the way you did.

Thanks for the great video. You are the only one I found that tried the jack with a variety of compressors!

Good idea, but I think they need to make a lower profile version that lifts higher. This looks like it's limited pretty much to changing tires.
    Can't wait for version 2!
    Like the ride!

i agree i couldn't get it under my chevy but i mean it does sit low definitely would like to see a low profile version and maybe some blocks you can stack for higher vehicles. Thanks for the comment

I'm going to see about adding some nylon runners underneath, or just have some kind of slick surface mat to slide upon as it's pulled in and out for positioning.

Can you take a pressure reading while lifting that heavier than usual load? On my 3 ton, it takes about 40 to 45 psi with a regular car load.
With the larger air bladders of the 5 ton, the pressure would be lower than the 3 ton, but the full frame vehicle may compensate.

I've seen them before and thought they were cool. If I didn't have a lift I'd consider getting one of them. I do like the fact that the handle can go flat against the ground, which you can't do with a regular floor jack

Can you disconnect it from air compressor so that you can still use the air compressor for impact wrench to change tires?

I worked at napa for 22 years. they made changes so i left and now I'm a driver at UPS. That being said knowing the company from the inside I highly doubt they sell parts for those jacks. Goodluck finding someone at napa that even would know how to help you. Used to sell quality parts not anymore... very sad

Either these things haven't been around that long yet or it never happens, because I haven't heard of one instance where it spontaneously let go while in use.

@@AllThingsCool I have a daytona low profile and that thing is heavy. Have you seen the aluminum daytona jack? It looks really cool... but that that air jack looks nice and you don't have to wear your self out jacking up cars.😉👍🏼
