Ikebana: Ptarmigan Emerging From Its Nest (Jiyūka)

Free style: The ptarmigan is a bird with almost mythical fame linking northern communities as ᐊᕐᑭᒡᒋᖅ ᐊᑕᔪᓕᒃ (aqiggiq atajulik) and Japanese communities as 雷鳥 (raichō).
Ikebana is one of the three classical Japanese arts of refinement. The Ikenobō school is the first official school of Ikebana, with over 550 years of written history. There are schools of Japanese floral art throughout the world.
