I think i remember this one. Murray was faced with the choice of knocking fed out in the round robin or maybe facing him again in the final. He chose to take out fed there. Fed fought tooth and nail and exposed his back problems. He was calling the trainer out to massage him down and using the lines men chairs between games. This match was the point where people stopped trying to break down his backhand and started trying to break down feds back. Poor murray was so gased he couldnt play against davydenko. I'd say that's a pretty decent summary, yeah. Although if Fed won and qualified for the semis, I doubt he would've continued on in the tournament given the back issues, and probably would've withdrawn in the semis hypothetically. He had problems with his back in Paris a couple weeks before as well. Every guy in Feds generation was either in Wawrinka or Fognini's level.
Đoković played an old Federer, Nadal and the choker of Murray in the finals, and before them all kind of garbage players like Raonic or Simon. Raonic was N3 in Đoković's era for fucks sake.
All comment are so bad my god. As follower of tennis for long years , how could not aprecciate the tenis of roger? Look this slices my god even in less form than his past years it was beautiful tennis. Best displacement in court. I remember when he started around 2000. Moving like in the air. And his forehand is the best i saw... and i ve follow him in many tours for long years. Even when im argentinian and delpo could hit it strongest than roger, delpo hasnt the speed for impact on any position his forehand like federer. I want he be back soon. Novak could break his record of weeks as number 1 but never will touch the explotion of roger while playing. Its easy to see cos when novak and nadal started had much better impact than now on their hits and roger after his best form was able to manage it. Im glad that nadal have done 20 gs now! But remember that 13 are in clay like it should be... so we cant talk about the carrier of both them in similar terms. And for good bye pple friends fans: we still have a good future to see them in the end of their race togheter. Enjoy it as much like this possible.. cya next year. I think new generation has arrived finally, and now its time to let them the place u all had this years my deers number ones :) ;) kiss and hug
Federer was utter garbage in 2008
Just rescued by the US Open. Only time he went out in RR at this tournament. Only losses in his entire career against Blake, Fish and Karlovic.
Lost his Wimbledon crown and number 1 spot.
Really was a shit year.
didn't know winning a GS and making 2 GS finals qualifies as a bad year LOL
@@Tronny That's because it definitely isn't in general. But when it comes to Roger it kinda was considered a bad year.
Not more than in 2013
Only a Wimbledon final French open final and a us open title that’s so amateur lol
