Didn't work for me (think I was just SUPER anxious being on stage) and I ended up faking the whole thing. HOWEVER, some people were definitely really hypnotized. The guy next to me was given a water gun, except it was turned backwards to point in his face. He was told it was NOT pointing at his face. He proceeded to shoot water into face and his eyes without flinching or even BLINKING. You can't fake that.
Yep, when it comes to stage hypnosis you get a different mix of people, those who are legitimately hypnotized, those that won’t allow it and get told to sit back with the audience and those that can’t tell wether they are or aren’t and so they just flow with everyone else (some people call that self hypnosis). Then those that want to experience it but can’t go under so they keep faking and by the time they realize, it’s too late to stop because everyone will know you were faking and so that in itself could also be hypnosis because now you are forced to do things in order to avoid repercussion. All this of course only applies to stage hypnosis, the hypnotist is not concerned wether you really are under or not. As long as you have a motive to play along. But without a doubt there will always be a few that definitely go into the “trance-state”.

I was hypnotized at a senior banquet and there is moments that you are aware. Yes some of them smile because some of them are fighting the hypnosis and are still self aware and don’t think they are hypnotized but they are. he has tricked there mind into a certain consciousness that is almost a dream state because of the focus that is being held on his words but when their mind drifts a little that’s when your kinda self aware and can smile or laugh on their own. But he constantly is giving orders to snap the mind back to focusing on his words to keep them in the dream state

i was hypnotized around 1979 while in the army and was a very very cool expirience,i was glad the hypnotist allowed us to remember what we had done in the show because the year i graduated and we had a show and my classmates that volunteered the hypnotist made it to where they wouldnt remember and to me that would have taken the fun out of the expirience.I just wished that back when i had it done that we had videos of it to see and show my kids and grandkids the things that i had done.The one thing i remember is that he had me lay of 3 chairs one under my feet,my back and my head and he suggested my body was a bar of iron.He removed the chair under my back then got up and literally stood with his body on my stomach.Then when he got down off me he sat in a chair with his knees under me and said that as he drops his mic on my stomach that i would become limp and the weight of the mic would be real heavy and i would collapse,i would do it again if i had the chance as i myself had alot of fun,just wish i could remember the hypnotist name
Ive seen this happen in real life “R rated hypnosis show”. 2 friends were on stage and the hypnotist asked “are they together” and the friends answered “yes”, meaning they came together, not together as a couple. And he kept triggering the Girl to get increasingly turned on each time she heard a trigger word, and each time, she’d be hornier than before. She heard the trigger word and started making out with the guy. Then when the hypnotist snapped them out of it and she was trying to tell him “we’re just friends”, then the hypnotist would trigger her and she’d kiss him more aggressively, then he’d snap them out of it and she’d tried to inform him they’re not together but before she could, he’d trigger them. It got to the point where she was mounting the guy giving him a lap dance (but fully dressed). It was funny.
I can’t be hypnotized. Not everyone can. My daughter was hypnotized in a class in college. She knew she was and that she did NOT have to do what he was telling her to do. She did it no matter how hard she tried not to!
Hypnosis is real. I’ve known my coworker for over a year, and he was never flexible at all. About 5 months ago he went to prom, and a hypnotist was there, and my coworker was chosen. The hypnotist told him to jump into the splits, and without hesitation, he jumped straight into it. No pain, no noise😂He can now do the splits anytime he wants.
A hypnotist should never have someone do something they can't normally do. However, they can tell them that as the days go by their muscles will become more and more relaxed and eventually they will have the flexibility they so desire. Otherwise you could be sued for liability.

i have seen a lot of hypnotists these past few weeks.....since i saw my first one, i've seen many different guys and a few women who are hypnotists and have been binging the ones that do high school audiences.....i find that high schoolers are more willing and daring and more uninhibited than their adult and/or college counterparts.....and trust me when i say this....Anthony Galie is one of the best, if not the best hypnotists that i have seen.....i like his inductions and especially his endings, when he gives the seniors (usually) a good out-of -hypnosis ending...or whatever you call getting the volunteers out of the hypnotic stage.....a good, positive look of what their being hypnotized can do for them as they face their future regardless of what options they choose to take.....kudos and greatest respect for Mr. Anthony Galie...!!!!
In the very beginning before the hypnotist asked them questions, when the girls were talking in Martian and laughing it's strongly based on body language, you can see the girl on the left throwing her arm in the air like you do when you hear something really funny and clapping and all that. Their minds are interpreting the tonality, the body language and other sub-comunications. When the hypnotist begins to ask them questions their conversation is no longer just expressing emotion (like in the beginning), but actual information and this is when the interpreter responds with what she thinks the other girl is actually saying. She is convinced that her translation is accurate and at the same time the other girl is convinced that the interpreter is actually translating. The "martian girl" is convinced that she's actually speaking martian and saying what her address is etc.

I was on that stage when I was in HS. I was an athlete and know (now) the hypnotist wanted to use me to make the biggest impact in the show. There is DEFINITELY a level of suggestibility in the relationship between the subject(s) and the hypnotist; however, there is ALSO an awareness by the subject (at all times) about what is happening. I believe that some of this is related to the desire to be accepted within the environment AND not be rejected by ones peers as the guy / girl that was different. It is also related to being highly relaxed mentally; so much so that you don't think about who is watching you or what might be the outcome if you do something stupid. I mean you are hypnotized so nobody cares if you are a freak because YOU WERE HYPNOTIZED!!! I performed as a 4 year old at my own birthday party and as Axle Rose in front of the entire student body. I didn't know much about Axle as a performer other than what I had seen him a few times on MTV (dating myself) but everyone said I performed almost perfectly. There was more but I will not belabor the point. At all times I knew it was me but I also felt like I was in a state of fluidity that was connected to both myself and the role that was being suggested. There is definitely a state of suggestibility but only to the point in which one will allow their self to be under an influence. I had seen the entire performance when I was enrolled at a school a couple years prior (by a different magician.) So I had an understanding of what might occur. I tried to get my friend to go on stage but he flipped it on me and said I should go because I had seen it already. Yeah, I played that wrong!!! In the end it was fun and discussing it with people in retrospect had some value; however, I'm not sure if it was a value that made me feel more empowered or like I was less of a person for being so suggestible. Today, I don't look at it as more or less but instead as just a moment in time. It was fun and a little humiliating at the same time. It brought me attention (that felt good) but also brought me attention that seemed to devalue my status among my peers and superiors (I know that sounds strange.) The bottom line is that each participant is ALWAYS in control of their self. The hypnotist understands this so they will never suggest something that is beyond a boundary that seems morally inappropriate to the subject. Everyone wants to be accepted AND everyone wants to just be their self (especially in public), without judgement for just a moment.
I was also on stage once for a show like this and I would agree 100%. I do remember the urge was strong to comply without hesitation I would normally have and thought after was it just an opportunity to do odd stuff without judgement or could I have really not complied? I also think about it kinda like when your driving and sometimes you just follow a route you have done over and over and suddenly you realize you got home without ever really making choices to drive that way. Your brain just got your body to do it subconsciously as you were thinking about other things. It was definitely an odd feeling.

I got hypnotized on my 18th birthday at a show.they invited me on stage .after I went back to my seat everyone in the crowd was laughing and clapping. .my mom told me they made me think i was singer tom jones and i sang and danced and got kissed by all the backup singers had red lips all over my face
That’s because you’re all subject to the power of suggestion. First of all, they were isolated in the shot, just the two of them for much of the video (other than the hypnotist). 2ndly, the kid started out with his arm around the Girl and (#2A) he even motioned to stroke her hair/face with his other hand within the first minute. Thirdly, they were talking to each other. And 4th (I’d say finally, but there are probably other “suggestions” as well), her head did end up in his lap a few times. It’s all just the power of the mind, friends.

One time I was hypnotized at my friends (to be honest I had no idea you could hire a dude to come and hypnotize you...lol) he came and told me as he massaged my shoulder “hello I am your friend... I’m going to be your friend, I noticed your a great listener” then he put his hands on my head and told me to put my hands up. Then he said “hey what’s your name?” My name is Penny so I said “Pe-“ they all of a sudden I spaced out I felt my whole body num and relax, then I felt this sharp pain on my head and shoulders where he touched me, I wanted to scream body my body was frozen the last thing I remember is him saying “sleep-“ as he blew on my ear. Actually that’s not the last thing I remember, at least it’s not the last thing I remember in reality. I felt my eyes closed but I could see white I thought, “that’s not right, I should see bla-“ then I felt that same sharp pain on my head and shoulders and I opened my eyes, the man was standing there while my mom and my friends mom where laughing at us, we sat there confused and the man took his payment and left. Later when I was in my moms car she asked if I was ok. I just sat there, she stared at me and I suddenly snapped out of it and asked her what happened. “He made you and (friends name remains anonymous because ima good frend owo) fall asleep then he made you wake up” sounded pretty normal cause that’s what I remembered. But she continued, “Then he made you fall asleep agin and made you pretend cry, then he woke you up and asked you if you were ok and you said you were sad when you said yes he made you fall asleep and you continued to fake cry, he did the same to (friends name)” I was the most confused I had been ever been in my life. My mom continued to tell me that he did these funny things with waking me up and putting me to sleep. She ended with,”It went on for maybe and hour or so.” My jaw dropped, all I remember was it lasted for about 30 seconds! I didn’t ask any more questions about it and have been wondering how he did it ever since. So yea that happened...

i was hypnotized around 1979 while in the army and was a very very cool expirience,i was glad the hypnotist allowed us to remember what we had done in the show because the year i graduated and we had a show and my classmates that volunteered the hypnotist made it to where they wouldnt remember and to me that would have taken the fun out of the expirience.I just wished that back when i had it done that we had videos of it to see and show my kids and grandkids the things that i had done.The one thing i remember is that he had me lay of 3 chairs one under my feet,my back and my head and he suggested my body was a bar of iron.He removed the chair under my back then got up and literally stood with his body on my stomach.Then when he got down off me he sat in a chair with his knees under me and said that as he drops his mic on my stomach that i would become limp and the weight of the mic would be real heavy and i would collapse,i would do it again if i had the chance as i myself had alot of fun,just wish i could remember the hypnotist name

Ive seen this happen in real life “R rated hypnosis show”. 2 friends were on stage and the hypnotist asked “are they together” and the friends answered “yes”, meaning they came together, not together as a couple. And he kept triggering the Girl to get increasingly turned on each time she heard a trigger word, and each time, she’d be hornier than before. She heard the trigger word and started making out with the guy. Then when the hypnotist snapped them out of it and she was trying to tell him “we’re just friends”, then the hypnotist would trigger her and she’d kiss him more aggressively, then he’d snap them out of it and she’d tried to inform him they’re not together but before she could, he’d trigger them. It got to the point where she was mounting the guy giving him a lap dance (but fully dressed). It was funny.

Hypnosis is real. I’ve known my coworker for over a year, and he was never flexible at all. About 5 months ago he went to prom, and a hypnotist was there, and my coworker was chosen. The hypnotist told him to jump into the splits, and without hesitation, he jumped straight into it. No pain, no noise😂He can now do the splits anytime he wants.

A hypnotist should never have someone do something they can't normally do. However, they can tell them that as the days go by their muscles will become more and more relaxed and eventually they will have the flexibility they so desire. Otherwise you could be sued for liability.

i have seen a lot of hypnotists these past few weeks.....since i saw my first one, i've seen many different guys and a few women who are hypnotists and have been binging the ones that do high school audiences.....i find that high schoolers are more willing and daring and more uninhibited than their adult and/or college counterparts.....and trust me when i say this....Anthony Galie is one of the best, if not the best hypnotists that i have seen.....i like his inductions and especially his endings, when he gives the seniors (usually) a good out-of -hypnosis ending...or whatever you call getting the volunteers out of the hypnotic stage.....a good, positive look of what their being hypnotized can do for them as they face their future regardless of what options they choose to take.....kudos and greatest respect for Mr. Anthony Galie...!!!!

In the very beginning before the hypnotist asked them questions, when the girls were talking in Martian and laughing it's strongly based on body language, you can see the girl on the left throwing her arm in the air like you do when you hear something really funny and clapping and all that. Their minds are interpreting the tonality, the body language and other sub-comunications.
When the hypnotist begins to ask them questions their conversation is no longer just expressing emotion (like in the beginning), but actual information and this is when the interpreter responds with what she thinks the other girl is actually saying. She is convinced that her translation is accurate and at the same time the other girl is convinced that the interpreter is actually translating. The "martian girl" is convinced that she's actually speaking martian and saying what her address is etc.

I was on that stage when I was in HS. I was an athlete and know (now) the hypnotist wanted to use me to make the biggest impact in the show. There is DEFINITELY a level of suggestibility in the relationship between the subject(s) and the hypnotist; however, there is ALSO an awareness by the subject (at all times) about what is happening. I believe that some of this is related to the desire to be accepted within the environment AND not be rejected by ones peers as the guy / girl that was different. It is also related to being highly relaxed mentally; so much so that you don't think about who is watching you or what might be the outcome if you do something stupid. I mean you are hypnotized so nobody cares if you are a freak because YOU WERE HYPNOTIZED!!!
I performed as a 4 year old at my own birthday party and as Axle Rose in front of the entire student body. I didn't know much about Axle as a performer other than what I had seen him a few times on MTV (dating myself) but everyone said I performed almost perfectly. There was more but I will not belabor the point. At all times I knew it was me but I also felt like I was in a state of fluidity that was connected to both myself and the role that was being suggested. There is definitely a state of suggestibility but only to the point in which one will allow their self to be under an influence.
I had seen the entire performance when I was enrolled at a school a couple years prior (by a different magician.) So I had an understanding of what might occur. I tried to get my friend to go on stage but he flipped it on me and said I should go because I had seen it already. Yeah, I played that wrong!!!
In the end it was fun and discussing it with people in retrospect had some value; however, I'm not sure if it was a value that made me feel more empowered or like I was less of a person for being so suggestible.
Today, I don't look at it as more or less but instead as just a moment in time. It was fun and a little humiliating at the same time. It brought me attention (that felt good) but also brought me attention that seemed to devalue my status among my peers and superiors (I know that sounds strange.)
The bottom line is that each participant is ALWAYS in control of their self. The hypnotist understands this so they will never suggest something that is beyond a boundary that seems morally inappropriate to the subject. Everyone wants to be accepted AND everyone wants to just be their self (especially in public), without judgement for just a moment.

I was also on stage once for a show like this and I would agree 100%. I do remember the urge was strong to comply without hesitation I would normally have and thought after was it just an opportunity to do odd stuff without judgement or could I have really not complied? I also think about it kinda like when your driving and sometimes you just follow a route you have done over and over and suddenly you realize you got home without ever really making choices to drive that way. Your brain just got your body to do it subconsciously as you were thinking about other things. It was definitely an odd feeling.

That’s because you’re all subject to the power of suggestion. First of all, they were isolated in the shot, just the two of them for much of the video (other than the hypnotist). 2ndly, the kid started out with his arm around the Girl and (#2A) he even motioned to stroke her hair/face with his other hand within the first minute. Thirdly, they were talking to each other. And 4th (I’d say finally, but there are probably other “suggestions” as well), her head did end up in his lap a few times. It’s all just the power of the mind, friends.

One time I was hypnotized at my friends (to be honest I had no idea you could hire a dude to come and hypnotize you...lol) he came and told me as he massaged my shoulder “hello I am your friend... I’m going to be your friend, I noticed your a great listener” then he put his hands on my head and told me to put my hands up. Then he said “hey what’s your name?” My name is Penny so I said “Pe-“ they all of a sudden I spaced out I felt my whole body num and relax, then I felt this sharp pain on my head and shoulders where he touched me, I wanted to scream body my body was frozen the last thing I remember is him saying “sleep-“ as he blew on my ear. Actually that’s not the last thing I remember, at least it’s not the last thing I remember in reality. I felt my eyes closed but I could see white I thought, “that’s not right, I should see bla-“ then I felt that same sharp pain on my head and shoulders and I opened my eyes, the man was standing there while my mom and my friends mom where laughing at us, we sat there confused and the man took his payment and left. Later when I was in my moms car she asked if I was ok. I just sat there, she stared at me and I suddenly snapped out of it and asked her what happened. “He made you and (friends name remains anonymous because ima good frend owo) fall asleep then he made you wake up” sounded pretty normal cause that’s what I remembered. But she continued, “Then he made you fall asleep agin and made you pretend cry, then he woke you up and asked you if you were ok and you said you were sad when you said yes he made you fall asleep and you continued to fake cry, he did the same to (friends name)” I was the most confused I had been ever been in my life. My mom continued to tell me that he did these funny things with waking me up and putting me to sleep. She ended with,”It went on for maybe and hour or so.” My jaw dropped, all I remember was it lasted for about 30 seconds! I didn’t ask any more questions about it and have been wondering how he did it ever since.
