owls are beautiful but they are so scary when they look directly at you

Maybe owls like these with these huge eyes, but not Barred Owls for me. Whenever one looks directly at me I get this feeling like this infinitely compassionate and sensitive being is watching me, a gentle soul.

Gonna love how his mind is being i pooped my pants but hes too calm for it so his eyes try to do the work, trying to hypnotize you so you get petrified

I sat next to it and sang for awhile so it would know I wasn't a threat.

In the 70’s, I found a juvenile Great Horned Owl laying on the road in a cloud of feathers, behind a pickup truck with a CB whip antenna that was still waving in the air.
The bird survived. I managed to get a permit to keep it as long as it never recovered its ability to fly. The thrill of hand feeding such an immensely powerful and beautiful hunter stayed with me for the year and a half of our time together.
Eventually, when it began to respond to me and I had earned its trust, it would perch on my heavy leather gloved hand. I had named the owl Hush because of the sound of its wings made when they flapped. The day came when I heard a great commotion in the utility room where the owl’s perch was. Hush was flying in circles on the porch.
Hush landed on my gloved hand and I walked out in the backyard. We made eye contact. “Now that you can fly, I have to let you go”, I said through a tear streaked face. Hush’s head bobbed, beak clicking excitedly. I raised my arm and she flew away.
I learned that Hush was a girl after she built a nest in a tree in the backyard and had a clutch of owlets.

what happens if you play nice music (to them, like positive owl noises or forest/insect asmr) then do an entertaining simple (like repeating 3-5 moves) robo bird dance

The owl's leg was tangled in the aviary netting. It was twisted and tight, but, not injured. See the other couple of videos I made...to see it freed and flying off into the distance.
